Oh! I need help. I am trying to fill out my profile since I am new, but the picture links take me to the wrong place. I have an account on photobucket, and I wanted to use one of my pictures. But when I click on the link to double check, it takes me to the first page of my album! Can any one help! I have the links in my profile if you need them.

I see what the problem is. You copy-pasted the URL you get when clicking on the image, therefore the word "action" in the URLs on your page. Clicking this again leads to your account, not the picture. What you have to do is select from the list "URL" "Tag" or "IMG", then the link looks like this: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d35/Cinerea/geisha3.jpgand this, with image tags:  Hope, that helped. biggrin

Hey -
This isn't really a question, but I just can't find another good thread to post this in. If there is one, could a moderator please move this? Otherwise, here's what I have to say:
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been pre-occupied with some life issues offline that I'm really pre-concerned about (i.e. I might have cancer). But as soon as my surgery testing is done (which might not be for a couple more months) I will probably pick up posting again. Again, sorry that I haven't posted, but thanks for understanding.

That depends.. If you already have someone willing to be your onee-san, then you both go to the hall of ceremonies and register there... if you are searching for an elder sister, you may ask any geisha of your okiya wether she is willing to accept you.

Typically a geisha only has two sisters, because it is hard to handle more than two. I hope that answers your question. ^_^

An Onee-san is supposed to teach the ways of a geisha (besides school) to her younger sibling. For example, how to put on make-up for a maiko and to behave properly infront of a patron. Also, an onee-san is supposed to take her younger sister to the salon for the first time to have her hair done. She watches over her younger sister as if they were blood related. If the younger sister were to misbehave infront a patron, it gives a very bad impression that the older sister is not training the maiko well and also that the okiya that the girl lives at is also not very good either.

I have a question. I have just moved up to a Maiko and I have a picture I want to have put in my (Iguess it's an I.d card) I just don't know where to post the picture or where to get the I.D card. cBecause it's the same picture as the one I want to use when I'm a Geisha. should I just post it here or in my profile? Anyways I'm going to post it as a link here ~I.D picture~thanks for your time! ~Lunarie
