Logan looked up at the sound of Kendra's voice. He smiled at her, thought there was a bit of sadness behind his eyes. He stared at her for a moment before answering, shaking his head. "Nothing, it's nothing. Just pre-class jitters I guess," he said before looking back at the papers laid out in front of him.
She was cute....with her head laid down like that. That thought had probably popped into his mind before but...he had never paid attention to it before. He taught a bunch of high school students every day so he always ignored such thoughts. Or just didn't think them. He was actually pretty good with temptation. He never really did feel tempted by high school girls. They all seemed to immature, surprisingly. Usually it was the girl who said the boy was too immature.
But not Kendra.
He laid his head down on the desk. "I'm not used to this yet, I spose..." he mumbled with his forehead laying on the desk top.

Kendra stood silently, though reluctant to do what she thought. She walked over to his side and paused. What she wanted to do was too close... to obvious. If she did it and someone saw... they'd both be dead.
A smile came to her face as she knelt down and put her hands on the edge of his desk and pressed her head against the side, smiling over at him.
"You'll be fine," she whispered, simply starting at him. He was cute like this. All worried. Though she liked him happy better.

Logan opened his eyes and was able to see her from where he was. He smiled at the sight and the feeling of her touch.
"Thanks," he said before letting out a yawn. Perhaps the early mornings were getting to him as well. He had gotten out of his normal sleeping patterns, after all.
He slowly sat up and stretched his arms. He glanced up at the clock. "Do you have all your homework done?" he asked, rather absentmindedly.

Kendra sat down upon the floor and leaned up against the wall, her skirt flaring out around her.
"No,... I purposely didn't do it. Well, I mean for this class its all 'done' but eh." she did the last bit with air quotes before letting her hands fall to the floor. "It's all good. Oh.." she paused as she heard footsteps approaching from the other room rapidly. A smile came to her lips as the voice rang through the doorway.
"LOOOOGAAAAN~! I MISSED MY DRINKING BUDDY!" hollered David as he came in with a smile and arms open wide. He was going to give him a hug but found Kendra sitting in the way. He looked down at her as his boots tapped her legs.
"Oh... why hello there," he muttered quietly.

Logan looked up as David entered, a smile on his face. "It's good to see you too, David," he said as he glanced down at Kendra sitting on the floor. He laughed slightly before looking back up to David.
"I hope my classes behaved themselves upon my absence. Heaven knows we can't trust you to keep them in line," he grinned. It was obviously a joke, but, then again, most jokes had some seriousness in them.

Kendra smiled, sticking out her tongue. "Oh yes David. We've missed you sooo much. I'm sure the students like myself haven't been too mentally damaged by your odd teaching style."
David gave her a playful glare before stepping over her.
"Shush you. I'm still Mr.Scott thank you and you shall treat me like the teacher I am! And thank you both for the confidence boost. Real helpful. I DID MY JOB PERFECTLY! No one said a word!.... And we had fun alcoholic labs that had NOTHING to do with biology when we started them."
His grin widened as he as well leaned up against the wall, crossing his arms.
"So, I take it everything went well? No rejection? Logan, you seem to have healed up nicely."

Logan smiled at David. It was good to be back.
He leaned back in his seat, looking at the two. "Well, so far, so good," he replied. "Everything seems to have healed...other than my eye, of course. I can't wait to hear the rumors that the kids come up with about it..."
It was true. Not necessarily that year, since all of his students knew that he got into a car accident, but later when the new students began coming in. He was sure they'd come up with all sorts of interesting stories about it. Picture too. It made him wonder....should he tell everyone on the first day what had happened? Or should he just pretend that there was nothing wrong? Hah, that would be interesting. Just ignore the elephant in the room, make the kids uncomfortable. Maybe he'd stick with that....
"But my injuries aside...did you miss me?" he added with a smile.

David smiled, nodding ever so slightly. "How could I not? I think you're one of the only things that makes people think I'm normal. Wouldn't you agree?"
Kendra chuckled slightly to herself. He really was odd.
"Well then" she said as she stood and stretched, her skirt falling to her knees. "I think I should start getting ready for class. Whoooo~! First hour is a blow off class~! Oh yhea."

"Most definitely," Logan agreed to David's comment, grinning.
He looked over at Kendra as she got to her feet. "Ah yes, go ahead. Wouldn't want you to be late for your blow off class," he said before getting to his feet. He walked over to the small doorway that lead to David's class and walked into the small room that lay between them. He was gone for a moment before returning.
"I guess I need to restock my supplies," he said, holding a small, plastic bottle in his hands. He glanced up at the clock, taking a drink.
"Almost time to get back into the flow of things. I wonder if I'll even remember half of my students names."

((I suppose? I dunno where to jump to....I guess I'll make something up.))
It was the end of the day and the bell had already rung, dismissing the students. No one was left in Logan's classroom other than him. He sat at his desk, pen in hand, scribbling something onto a piece of paper. A small smile was on his face as he leaned his head to one side, propping his phone against his ear. He tapped the pen methodically against the edge of the desk as he waited.
"Sorry about the wait, Mr. Sykes," the voice on the other end of the phone spoke up. "I have you down for a suite for two this Friday. Arrival time around five or six pm? Is that all correct?"
"Yes, ma'am, thank you," Logan replied, holding the pen tighter in his grip.
"Alright....your reservation is all set. We look forward to having you and hope that you enjoy your stay at the Mattise Hotel."
"Thank you," Logan said just before the line was disconnected. He set his phone down and scribbled something down on a small pamphlet before folding it back up and putting it in his bag.

An exhausted Kendra stumbled in through the classroom's doorway and slumped into one of the student desks, her things being plopped down onto the floor as she lied the majority of her chest on the desk top, her arms folded across and her head resting upon the top. She looked over at him, a tired look changing to an expression of calm happiness as she gave a small content sigh and stared at Logan.
Yup. No matter how tired she was seeing him still made her heart happy. To test her theory she had worked extra hard all day and had done several laps around the school through out the day. It was a silly but strangely satisfying thing to do.
It suddenly struck her that she was hungry and rather parched. She made a note to get something right away when she got home. Unless Logan planned on staying later. Then she might have to be content with a bottled water from the vending machines in the school.

Logan looked up as Kendra entered the room. He was glad to see her at least, and it brought a smile on his face. He stacked a few of the papers together and placed them in a folder.
"Good afternoon, Kendra!" he greeted. He was surprised at his own amount of energy. "Would you like to just head home now? I don't need to stay after today. Besides, I have something I want to ask you."
He glanced out the doorway. He couldn't do anything suspicious there. He would have to wait until they got home.

"Eh?" she said aloud, a tad surprised by both his words and his over all attitude, "Sure. Sounds good to me. I wanted to get home and have some food anyway."
She pushed herself up from the desk and gathered her small amount of things, bending over to pick up the books from the floor. If only her skirt was a tad shorter.... ah well.
She stood and walked over to his desk and leaned on it slightly. "You seem happy today. Is it because you're back in school?" she asked with a smile.

"Maybe," Logan replied, leaning forward so that their faces was just inches apart. If only he could kiss her there. He was fairly certain that no one was looking but he didn't want to risk it. It was too soon after school ended and there were still too many students in the hall.
He leaned back again and grabbed his bag. "I'm looking forward to getting back home, though. Do you mind if I stop in with you before going back to my place?" He got to his feet and waited for her response before heading to the door.
