((Well aware, he thought it pertainent to tell Jessica directly, and let Arya know through her xp))

Sherad sighed, his face drawn a little more than before. He looked older than he was, even for an elf "I lie only because...well" he seemed like he was battling with a predicamentin his soul. One side seemed to win, the lines of his face disappearing and his dark mood lightening "..because I don't like to see a fair one worry" he said soothingly.

Zera smiled a little "It would not stir the masses Jesssssica, it is your saftey that is considered" he swishe dhis tail and looked around to see Mathias. He nodded and turned back to Jessica "Many dangerous things lurk in the swamp, things that could devour entire ships..."

Mathias shrugged. "I rarely use things like that. I perfer to be on the ground, or at least up in the trees. Most things I use are things I make or at least things made by people I know and trust." he admitted to Jessica. "But in any case, your friends may come out looking for you, and considering your description of them, they'll most likely make the wrong assumptions." Mathias replied. He hated saying things like that, and sounding like a broken record, but given what he was told he knew that there was a great deal of trouble that could loom over the heads of everyone if even the slightest wrong move was made or wrong word was spoken. "I hate saying such things, but honestly these others that came with you will mostl likely try to find anything at all just to give them the excuse they need to start attacking. It's taken our world a good several hundred years to finally achieve world peace and come to be as it is now." Mathias spoke with a bit of a sigh.

(( Ah, ok. I was just making sure. I can get easily confused sometimes. >.> ))

Natasya turned to face him, her hands relaxing more at her side, the bright ball of light that had formed in her palm finally showing itself. Looking up o him, she had noticed the lines, her frown deepening just a little. Her golden eyes widened in the slightest at his response, then softening to a rather warm expression, the frown gone to be replaced by a soft smile. She took his hands, letting the light flow into his skin, hoping that it would help him regain some of himself. "Well, I'll worry less if you don't lie to me. Alright?" She giggled a little, her wings shooting out and glowing a little, taking in the sunlight, her legs staying strong. Though she let go of his hands, wanting to hide how her own shook a bit from how much she had just given him. If anything, he could use that power she had just given him instead of his own until it was completely used up. "Besides, I don't like to see you on a downward slide. It doesn't fit you." She winked, brushing some of her hair back.

Jessica nodded a little, she could take that answer. Blinking at the mention of the marines, her smile faltered and faded, bowing her head. "I know. Thats why later maybe..." She said softly, shifting her purse on her shoulder a bit. Turning her head in the direction of where she had come, she sighed heavily and glanced to Zera. "Oh? I see. Well, I'm glad it wouldn't bother the masses. I know that our presence must upset some." She raised her eyebrow a little at the description of the swamp, managing a half-smile. "If Brother Mathias will let me out at all after this, then maybe I shall go see your home. He'll probably force a squad of marines to come with though... and I'd rather not cause that kind of disturbance." So she remained conflicted, the feeling of a leash being around her throat only growing more solid, braiding her hair as a slight nervous habit.

((I'm back! xd ))

Kai allowed the others to talk things out, while making sure to keep himself in between Jessica and Mathias. Keeping him always in his line of sight to Jessica. Kai crossed his legs and floated in the air, regaining Mana that he'd spent. "No need to worry about big, slimy things in the swamp when you have a squad of your own following you." he joked good naturedly, trying to bring the topics back to a lighter side of things.

Sherad smiled back at Natasya "Well, most of my kin say they are tired of my overly optimistic blabber and my often air-headed observations of everything around me" he chuckled and gripped his hands behind his back, walking forward casually and whistling as he did. It was a tuneless and broken sound, but it was peaceful to the animals and the plants. He threw a smile at Natasya as he passed her, and then a wink. The drake that had just a moment before been spitting fire and flapping its small wings was now curling up calmly and watching the researchers around it with mild interest.

Zera smiled a little at Kai's little jib "Well, ssslimy isn't what I would call them, they are actually quite....beatiful in their own waysssssss" he drew the last syllable into a hiss, while he seemed to remember something. He snapped back to reality and gave a wry smile.

Jessica chuckled a little, forcing a small smile while passing it off as natural, feeling a bit reassured to know all of them. "Which squad? This good natured one, or the narrow-minded bastards back at camp?" She smirked, knowing she should stop being candid.

Natasya didn't see any difference from what she had done, guessing that it was better that way. She chuckled, listening to him whistle, taking a seat on the grass as she regained her own energy, blushing at his wink. She had curled her legs around so her skirt wasn't being revealing, adjusting her boots a bit as her wings fluttered, gentle bells seeming to ring in the air. "I like your optimistic blabber and random observations. They are.... refreshing? I suppose that would be the best word." She paused to consider that for a moment, nodding once as if to reassure herself of it.

Priya finished bandaging up someone's hand that had a slight burn, passing through everyone as if she had an invisible path to follow. It was a little noticeable that the others treated her... differently. Even if there was barely any trace of this fact. Glancing over to the Elf and Fairy, she touched the page of her notebook, seeming to take in something before closing it, heading over to them once more. "I apologize for the interruptions. Are there any questions I can answer for you?" She asked, her eyes glimmering a little before settling back to their violet.

Sherad smiled widely "Well, that is good to know..." he smiled at Natasya. He turned look at Priya when she returned, her pad out again. Sherad stared at it, still fascinated by the technology. He had seen similar things before, but he'd never actually thought about examinign one "Do you mind Priya?" he asked, holding a hand out and nodding to the notebook, a smile wide on his lips.

Brother Mathias slammed Raphiel into the wall again, emphasizing his point "You're getting sloppy again Brother!" he said with a grunt, lifting his puil up off the floor, a good ton of ceramite and muscled human. Raphiel reached down and grabbed Mathias' collar, pulling down. They fell to the floor, denting it deeply "Good!" Mathias said, a gleam in his eyes.
Raphiel went flying into the opposite wall, the metal twisting until it tore and he fell out into the main corridor of the research ship.

Natasya smiled, laying down on her stomach since she felt her fatigue now, wishing it didn't take so long to take in energy. Blinking a little, she watched the two of them, a golden light swirling in her eyes. Scanning Priya up and down, her eyes widened a bit, quite surprised at what she had found. Can't be.... They are that far already? wow.... convincing! Then she closed her eyes, her face seeming slightly drawn as she rested her cheek on her arms.

Priya blinked herself, tilting her head as she glanced down to her notepad. "Hm? Oh! Just a sec." She pulled out a small disc where she recorded everything, placing it in his hands then. "Be my guest." She smiled, making sure it was on a normal function and not recording, or analyzing. Blinking as she heard something, she looked towards the ship, glancing to her watch which was flashing. "Ron! Please make sure everything is alright." I'm sure it's just from Brother Mathias, but still.... We'll need to repair that... Seeing the one man nod and run off, she sighed, glancing in the direction Jessica had gone, wondering when she would get back.

Sherad examined the notebook, twisting it this way and that until he found a panel. He opened it and looked inside, the wires and chips fascinating. They seemed so organic sometimes "When was this tech developed?" he asked curiously "Last time yo-" he realized what he was saying a snapped his mouth shut, starting to whistle again.

Brother Raphiel shook his head and stood, an armor hand on his head. He glanced into the training room, seeing Brother Commander Mathias stomping towards him. He gluped and readied himself, backing away from the hole and spreading his legs incase his teacher was going to try and grapple with him. He was sorely mistaken.
Brother Mathias charged, tearing the hole even larger with a thrust and pull of his hands. He ducked under Raphiel's defending hand, grabbing his belt and then his collar "Never be caught off guard by heresy, do not let your mind think you know what they shall do next! Always suspect the unexpected!" he growled and threw Brother Raphiel, denting the other wall, a few yards down the corridor.

when Priya glanced back to him, she saw him taking it apart, making her eyes widen a little, though she relaxed, he was allowed. She could repair it later that night. "Within the past year. It's helped make things so much faster. I mean, they had all the components before, but they managed to put it all together into these devices." She replied, blinking as he started to say something, narrowing her eyes a bit. But she let it slide, knowing she would tell Jessica later. Her eyes darted back towards the ship, grimacing a bit as she knew Ron would be no match to stop anything from happening. Poor boy would get scared. "Um, pardon me again. I have to check on the ship." She sighed heavily, breaking into a run, her labcoat falling to the ground.

It didn't take her long to catch up to the researcher ahead of her, taping him on the shoulder to tell him he didn't have to continue. Moving through the ship, she saw one of the marines go flying, blinking a bit. "Brother Mathias, can you please refrain from damaging the ship? We have to repair it every time it's damaged!" She called, keeping a safe distance away, looking at the marine on the ground in front of her.

Natasya's eye shot open, looking at Sherad when he corrected himself, sighing lightly to herself, wincing a little. Watching her run off, she frowned a bit, taking a guess as to why she was going now. "They've advanced a lot this past year." She chuckled a little to herself, the glow gone from her eyes, smirking as she kicked her legs, her wings glowing a bit brighter as they took in more sunlight. Her pink hair spilled around her shoulders and front, contrasting in a pretty way with the green grass.

Sherad nodded and glanced up from his little disection of the note-book. He stared at Natasya, hypnotized by the sight of her. He smiled and put the note-book down, as well as the few peices he'd taken from it, on top "You know, I know very little about the fairy-people, just what I learned during my training, care to share a bit?" he asked.

Brother Mathias snorted and picked up Brother Raphiel, hoisting him by his collar "Very well, I apologize for any damages I have caused, I will take this lesson outside..." he said, bowing slightly and then setting his pupil on his feet.
Brother Raphiel stumbled along after him, a little off-balance from the last throw, which had made him skip off the wall "Sir, may I suggest you institute a mandatory trainign time for all? The men are getting restless already, and they need to releive a bit of tension, sir." Brother Mathias just grunted in reply, continuing through the ship until they left it, heading the ramp.
Before they reached the bottom, Brother Raphiel took his chance and jumped from it, dodging around the back of it and thrusting his armor hands through it. He grasped Brother Mathias' ankles, then pulled down and away, throwing his commander to the dirt.
"Smart boy, but you'll have to do bette than that to win this one!" Mathias chuckled, standing and brushing some of the dirt form his power armor.

"Well at least you won't have to worry about travel time to get back to the slave owner." Kai joked, winking at Jessica. While the others had been busy talking he had the ground shift them back to base. He waved to Sherad who was near by talking to Arya's favorite fairy, Natasya. Kai grinned and looked back to Jessica to shrug. "Thought it'd be best if you didn't relize we were heading back until it was too late. Less stressing out about what awaited when you got back..."

Natasya looked up when he seemed to stare at her, blushing a bit in an almost embarrassed fashion, though a small smile tilted up her lips. Pushing herself up into a sitting position, she breathed a small sigh of relief, finally refilled from what she had given him. "Really?" She giggled a little, her wings flapping once, the bells sounding in the air again before fading when they fell still. "Hmm.... what is uncommon knowledge? I suppose there is a lot, we do tend to keep to ourselves don't we?" She smiled, patting the grass beside her since she guessed that Priya would be a while. "well, I get my energy from the sun as I'm sure you guessed. Thats why my wings were glowing, they were converting the light into energy for me. My skin does it too, but it's slower than my wings." Glancing back to them, she grinned, pulling her hair behind her ears, turning her golden eyed gaze back to him. "Um.... What exactly did you care to know? There's a lot I could say." She smiled, tilting her head with a slightly dubious expression, where could she start? There was so much she could say! Was she allowed to say? Well, not exactly, but it wasn't like she was held in favor by her people.

Priya poked her head around the corner, looking at Brother Mathias with a heavy sigh. "Thank you Brother Mathias." She murmured, watching the pupil with pity in her eyes. Then she surveyed the damage done, groaning as one of the circuit boards had been hit, and the dents in some of the walls. Tapping her choker, she waited for the beep and voice, sighing lightly. "Yes, this is Priya Nighthawk. We need a maintenance team on the main corridor, Deck Alpha. and training room E, Section D-5. Some of the circuits were damaged, use caution." She waited for a few seconds for the response, frowning as she knew she'd have to help them. "Copy that. Nighthawk out." Walking over to a smaller storage room, she picked up a bag there, moving through it so she could get a head start on the repairs.

Edit:

Jessica laughed lightly, though the smile faded when she saw that they were back now. She saw Brother Mathias lumbering out of the ship with a Marine, noticing that he was a bit worse for wear, sighing heavily. "No, I suppose thats best... Thank you Kai for the brief trip. I did enjoy it a lot." She smiled to the neko, just a hint of sadness in it, walking away from them a bit. She waited for Brother Mathias to notice that she was there before saying anything, brushing off her skirt.

Arya looked up at the return of the small party, opening one eye since she had been meditating to regain some form of energy. She waved to them all, sitting up while stretching a bit. This'll be interesting. Glancing over to Natasya and Sherad, she chuckled a little, it made her happy to feel the fairy was happy. "So, enjoy your trip? Welcome by the way Mathias." She nodded to the Kitsune, her wings shooting out from her back, fluttering a little.

[[I made another profile for a character, someone I plan on bringing in right after the fighting has started... which will be when by the way?]]

Tanya was bored as she lazily followed Jessica and Kai who made the earth, and thus them, move. She had stayed on the disc, cross legged, resting an elbow on her leg, chin her hand.
When was something more interesting going to happen? She had to admit that the other demon clans, and she too, had anticipated a fight, and for a while there the marines had been just boiling to start something. And while they hadn't seemed to have calmed down much, nothing along those lines had happened yet.
Now, she wasn't necessary looking forward to a blood bath- ok, maybe a little bit- but something was better then nothing. And right now, the researchers going about their way and studying them like a new species of animal, was somewhere between nothing and just plain annoying.

Sherad shrugged and stared at Natasya "Well, what is fairy culture like?" he asked, wondering what others would think, though he didn't put much stock in the thoughts of others. He wanted to know more about her though, and starting with her people seemed like a good way to ease into the harder questions.

Zera snorted as he looked around, seeing the two marines smacking each other about like barbarian warriors "Thisss will not end well if that one ssseesss fit to come near me..." he growled, meaning Brother Mathias.

Brother Mathias looked to his left, while holding Brother Raphiel up by his breastplate. He saw jessica dn the xenos "There you are!" he bellowed, dropping the marine and dusting his hands off. He straightened his pauldren, which had moved a slight bit in the scuffle, so that it was straight. Brother Mathias strutted forward, stopping before Jessica, looking down at her from his position up on high.
"You have insulted me Doctor Rosen, me and my men" he said calmly, staring at her with a little bit of disappointment "We were sent here for you and your party's protection, and you leave! Without my knowing! With xenos!" he roared, angrily glaring down at her now.
