Any Russian experts here know if the Russians use "abbreviations" of ordinal numbers like we do, for example "1st" "42nd" "73rd" etc. etc.? Trying to figure out how to express the term "64th."
And do they have their own way of expressing Roman numerals?

Unfortunately I'm nowhere near well read enough in Russian to answer your first question (I'm sorry! crying ) Also, I'm not 100% sure by what you mean by "Roman numerals," but Russians use the same numbers as everyone else (e.g. 1, 2, 3, etc). In formal writing Roman numbers (I, II, III, IV, V, etc) are quite a bit more common than they are in English.

Hermonie Urameshi Eccentric Iconoclast Добро пожаловать в ад. mrgreen gah! gonk I hate the bookstores around here! They have absolutely nothing on learning Russian! scream I waish I was able to at least read that... To transliterate it directly using a standard method, it would be "Dobro požalovat' v ad." To pronounce it, it's more "DOH-bruh pah-ZHAH-lah-vuht(z) vuh AHT." (That may not be completely correct, but that's how it's supposed to be pronounced.)

Hermonie Urameshi gonk Can anyone give me a book/website where I can learn the cyrillic alphabet? I can’t find one. This is where I first learned: http://www.friends-partners.org/oldfriends/language/russian-alphabet.GIF wikibooks has a decent source on Russian, though there's not much detail, I think they have the alphabet.. Another chart, but it has sounds too! http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Russian/Alphabet
