Midou calmed down once again and returned next to Himo, the purple chakra dissappating. "That guy really gets on my nerves. I don't like him."
Himo chuckled. "Neither do I."

Ganjou waved a hand. "No idea." He sighed some. He was grateful Haru passed onto the next round though. "It pains me to think that Haru might actually have to face that Yajuu."

Kanna growled in boredom. It was a horrible trait of hers that when she wasn't hunting she lost her patience, and with her lazy opponent not showing she wasn't hunting. Smoothing her hair down irritably she tied it with a leather cord before diving over the wall and sliding down to the water. She was pressed against the wall but stuck there by her claws and not chakra. Almost musingly she trailed her fingers through across the waters surface while staring into the depths almost vacantly.

"What is that girl doing?" Ganjou asked while looking down from the box. "She seems almost bored."

"I think she is bored." Orochimaru said quietly. "It's something we can relate to I think."
Kanna's eyes came back into focus suddenly and her hand shot into the water. Deftly she climbed back up the wall, her claws stuck deeply into something vaguely eel shaped. It was as thick as her arm easily with scissor-like jaws that snapped viciously as it thrashed. As it twisted in her grip it was evident that it had a a lot of barbs on it's back.
Her fishing had paid off, she'd gotten something much smaller and drawn it away from its pack. It was probably bred for those jaws, she thought that it would probably be able to saw through bone in under fifteen seconds.
"Was that one of your creatures?" Orochimaru asked curiously.

"I would believe so...." He stated. "Is she going to eat that?" He asked skeptically.

"That would probably be the case." Orochimaru said musingly as he admired the struggling creature. "Excellent design." he said with a good deal of professional respect for the Mizukage, which was something he did not give out on a whim. "I may have to borrow some of those creatures for experiments."
Kanna held up the vicious creature making sure to avoid the spines on its back as it twisted. Dark blood was flowing out of it where her claws were embedded and she licked some of it off before giving a gentle snarl and snapping its neck. Holding the limp serpentine form carefully she got a better grip on it and easily sank her fangs into the fish, ripping away a large chunk.

Ganjou watched her with some disdain. "Takes a while for those to grow into maturity. So I'd appreciate it if she did not make a habit of dining on them. Besides, she's a cannibal." "Though how she got one of those is impressive."

"Don't be so harsh." Orochimaru said smugly. "I could probably hasten it's growth for you. And besides..." He made a tone of the insanely obvious. "She can't act as a cannibal around here. You'd have her disqualified at the very least I'm sure."
Kanna swallowed her chunks of meat, not even bothering to pick around bones. When she got to the skull though she stopped and to gentle care to pry the protective plating apart.

"That was very amusing," Himo said as he stood once more. "I agree with Orochimaru though, she does look bored, as am I. Maybe, we can just progress onto the next match, and come back to this one later. Or we can just disqualify the Yajuu's opponent."

"I'm glad someone else has sense in this mater." Orochimaru said coyly. "I seem to recall the Chunin exams testing ability, not patience."
Meanwhile Kanna had pried the fishes brain out of its ruined skull with delicacy one usually equated to life or death surgery. With her prize free she popped the cluster of nerves into her mouth and tasted it. Her eyes rolling back into her head in the process as she let her body do its work.
