before geting up and following his wife all the same, and geting Kieran up to for that matter. leaving him alone done here was asking for a runic repercussion from his wife...like leaving a child in a candy store unsupervised.

Malik gave a grin and looked over at Piper.
"Tell me sevilin...know anything about 'chain fighting'?"
though he wasn't going and fetching his daughter. it was too amusing to see her clutching sevilin like that. But a clance over at Keiran.
"now now. I thought you were the one that wasn't supposed to poke at dragons. Fianna would hurt us both if sevilin smacked you around some."

Piper wasn't doing much to help Sevilin out either. She would admit it was kind of funny. Savryn did had the tendency to leech to a person if they could get her what she wanted. Apparently this was one of those things. The banter between elves was also considered normal by now. "Now now you know there is no smacking around while on the job or in the house."
"If you're asking can I decapitate a man in such a manner, yes."
"What's decapitate mean?"
"It means you lose your head. Like I may if you don't let go of me."
"Silly Sevilin, your head it on too tight. Mama says so."
"This is why I don't have any children under fifteen anymore." There was just no winning with them but he turned his attention back to Malik. "Short child proof answer, yes." He was not going to comment on Kieran.
"Like Piper said, that's off the clock activities and out of the house activites. I figure I'm safe long as at least one of those conditions applies. Besides, what's life with a little danger hm?"

"Good to know. I'm also asking as apparently the child grasping your head's unique conditions allow her to be potentially able for learning this style of fighting. Do you know enough about it to teach this fighting style to someone else and make them a dangerous adversary with it?"

Well that explained why the child wouldn't let him go. Seemed this little elf was on a role when it came to life right now. First controversal magic and now a not so used fighting style. There always had to be an odd one in the litter he supposed. "Can I force a raise out of you if I no and need convincing?" To which the child attached to him whined and kicked a little as if about to throw a tantrum or such about it. "Alright don't whine. Should be easy enough to teach her once I get back into practice of it." Which got him instead of whining, squealing and head hugging. Since when was this thing so affectionate to anyone but her mother and brothers? Though it cused a frown at Kieran as he was mastermind. "Correction, I will destroy you."

"speaking of raises. your well overdue for what work you do put in not only for me personally but for the House overall. I think doubling your pay should about cover that and the added expenses of teaching my daughter. If Zahara needs any extra funds a well for her assistance with the kids and piper's stables, we can look into that as well."
Of course now detaching his daughter from Sevilin's head and setting her down on the ground.

That news got a raised eyebrow for a moment but hey he wasn't going to argue about it. "I'm sure she can come up with a list of some sorts, she always does." Which particularly amused him because he appreciated lists anyway. She always had things stashed away. But he gave a slightly annoyed nosie when Malik detached the child who was quite happy at the moment. "She's good at convincing, I'll give her that."
Piper gave a chuckle. "Also gets that from me. Though I'm sure I don't have to explain the stipulations of such things to you." Piper had a method of this child training business after all. She never suscribed to the almost or literally beating it into them in a month.
"No, you don't. Besides, this isn't one of those fast learned things. Unless you're learning to dodge that is. Then it's your own fault if you're not fast enough." Shrugging to that. "Care to update me then?" After all, the girl had been making strides.

I figure the chains and the sounds they make would be easier on her then trying to gauge and use a blade that has little to no moving parts or sounds to it. something she can unleash and use in quick method with little to no hesitation."
picking his daughter up.
"She'll be starting on Room training in necromancy, as she has considerable talent but needs some stronger power building exercises to compliment her knowledge that she is quickly acquiring."

Have to be particularly dedicated to the art and I think it's quite clear that she doesn't particularly care for anything of the sort." Taking a moment to think it over. "I'm sure I can figure out which she's doing more and just capitalize on it. Just tell me when you want her to start and you can reorganize her time to allow for such. You know I don't tolerate the I'm tired excuse."
This was turning out to be one of the best days ever. Quite happily she clung to her father as he picked her up. Apparently daddy appreciated all this learning stuff and it got her attention. "I'm a fast learner." Annoucing it proudly because to her that statement sounded like daddy saying she was smarter than the other kids and got to do more but needed the tools to do more. Despite there not being any other kids. Tugging on his clothes then. "Can I start now?" Room, chains, she didn't care which.

Which got puppy eyes at her from the child. "Oh don't even start with me with the looks. You can start something if you want but if you get tired just tell someone okay? It's alright if you don't finish a lesson at one time." Which hopping up and down happily commenced as she was set down. Cute.
"Yes, I know. I'm fairly certain that you'll barely trust anyone else with your little empire. As for travel...well, I'm like moss on a rock and rather enjoy being that way. But what does Andal have to do with anything?" That always made him suspicious.

"The brigade master is looking to be restricting travel to and from the plane soon due to recent events. which means I'm going to be needing methods to allow me to do buisness there wether or not he wants me there or not. I don't want the annoyance of dealing with brigade everytime I want to get something or visit family."

In his opinion Brigade liked their hudrles a little too much...not that he'd admit that he did see some good points in the organization. It would be against his cynical nature. He raised an eyebrow at the last part though. "Unstable? And here I thought they were all playing nice with one another that such things simply didn't occur. I would say I hope they go up in hellfire, but," turning a look to Piper, "I'm sure that statement is a conflict of interests."

"the surface empires are getting along fairly well. It's the depths that are growing more and more unstable. Mahlari's time is coming, and her sister is working to undercut both her and her daughter, who rumor has it is molding nicely to the brigade master's influence. I suspect when Mahlari's time comes, if krymsyn can't be as ruthless as she'll need to be, mahlari's sister is going after the throne. and she'll almost certainly have Khavier in her corner. If no other reason then to keep the status quo and his position at the top of the dogpile. Though I think Requias is probably in favor of krymsyn as a ruler...and that'll bring all sorts of things if push comes to shove."
