Zy laughed as his daughter grabbed his finger. You so cute. He told her.
Patrol walked in. "Um.. Zuriel, The scouts report another wave coming in less then an hour." He told him nervously. "Jerick thinks we should leave now. But we'll stay and fight if you want us to."

Janan looked over to Patrol and blinked.
shaon tried to stand but only gripped her head, feeling hurt.

Zy looked over at Shaon. We can't leave yet. Shaon isn't feeling well. He told Patrol.
Patrol nodded and left the room.
Several minutes later Jerick walked in the basement. "Zy, we lost four men and everyone is tired and wounded, I don't know if we can stand up to another wave."

"zy, we have to go!" she told him, straining to stand. she gripped her torso as she did, shuddering as her head trhobbed. she used to wall for support, groaning.

Zy helped her up. You're in no condition to go anywhere. He told her.
Jerick looked at Shaon, "What's wrong with you?" He asked with concern.

"We can;t let them all die!" she shouted, shaking ehr head. "no, no, no..." she looked to Jerick. "talk some sense into him, Jerick. I feel weak, very weak, but i don;t want you or your men to die."

Jerick laughed, "Men? There boys, for many of them this was there first time in battle." He told her and looked at Zy. "It's only going get worst."
Zy looked at Jerick and then at Shaon. How are we going to move you? He asked.

Shaon looked to the two of them. "I'm not very heavy...one of you coudl carry anme and i or onw of you can carry Janan."

"Patrol can carry Janan. Zy, you should carry your wife." Jerick offered them. Whit the lack of sex, Jerick was showing his more, cunning side, planing the future.
Zy nodded and looked at Shaon to see if she approved.

Shaon nodded and handed her child to Jerick.
Janan hugged Jerick's arm and looked to her parents, babbling softly.

Jerick took the baby and walked out of the basement.
Zy looked at Shaon, Then turned around so she could get on his back. Lets go then. He acted like he wanted to get this over with.

"i'm sorry, Zy..." she mumbled, latching around him weakly. she closed her eyes, shuddering as she tightened her arms around him as best she could.
Janan, of course, was trying to grab Jerick's hair, holding his shirt with her other hand.

Zy laughed, I was only kidding. He told her as he left the basement.
Jerick smiled at the baby and handed her to Parol. "It's your job to protect her and take care of her." He told his cousin as he looked into his eyes.
Patrol nodded nervously as he took the child, understanding what he meant. he held Janan close to him and looked at her, smiling his crooked smile.

Shaon nodded. "Still sorry... she mumbled, then grinned slightly. "for being such a dummy head."
Janan hugged Patrol's arm, her gray eyes looking up at him as she latched tightly onto him.

A vampire rushed inside. "It's... too late.... There here!" He told them, trying to catch his breath. Jerick looked outside, He could see movement. "Damn! Is there anther way out?" He asked Zy.
Not unless that locked door leads out. He told him.
