"You can try, but you won't succeed."
"You've never tried to hold the woman down. It's practically impossible. How that is, I'm not sure...but she's tricky when it comes to such things. As for travel matters, if I can't attend personally then all I ask for are mostly maps, maybe some notes."
"Well then, works for me. I just like to know when to have my guard up and be all mean and vicious and when I can run around playing all carefree like. You're not going to start instilling payback for Andal fancy things and the like are you?"

"Is that a challenge, Fianna? that sure did sound like a challenge to see if I could hold you down. and you know how I so do love a good challenge."
giving a slight chuckle and looking to his wife.
"Most of these places you can be as carefree as you'd like. I would only suggest a slight bit of caution in paineel. Erudites are notoriously stuckup and these are the 'heretics' the ones who studied necromancy as well as the other arts. so they are prolly even more..stuck up and spiteful."

"Don't tangle with a master rune mage, Malik. You can think you're one all you want but you're never going to be able to outdo me."
"Oh but annoying the stuck up populace is such a joy for me. People who are like that need a little chaos in their lives. But I'll behave if I have to. Can't have you paying out for every little mishap now can I? You'd never survive having to live in dirt so I have to look out for you on such things." Then a point to Savryn, "And you're going to have everything needed for such atmospheres?" It was bad enough that the exposed people here didn't tolerate surface locales well. Savryn however had never been out of the underdark, not even once. Hell, she'd never planes traveled either.

"If I can immobilize sevilin, I can immobilize you, Fianna."
point his fork at her before attention back to his wife.
"I'll have everything we need. As to paineel...you can have some fun, just in moderation. it's a society of shadowknights and necromancers mostly. And probably as obsessive in their pursuit of knowledge as Kieran is in filling his journals."

"Sevilin is a passive creature by nature. I am not so much. He lets you win to make you leave him alone. I wouldn't do such a thing."
"So in other words, people that you all can chit chat with about your daughter's schooling and the like that I'll make faces at when they're not looking just to make you laugh and make them wonder." But then a tilt of her head. "Are you planning on fetching Dhairiss before this and letting him come along too?"

Giving a look over to Fianna...and a decidedly evil smirk.
"Is that so. We might just have to put that to the test."
before back to his wife.
"In some cases. but the dwarves of thurgadin and the gnomes of Ak'anon aren't all that way. and there are of course other places to see and visit there if people want to go to them arrangements can be made I'm sure."
tapping his chin.
"I suppose we should get him too. which does make me wonder how things are going on Andal for that matter."

"You always want to poke what you shouldn't poke don't you? And you have the nerve to lecture us like you do. Tsk tsk Malik."
"Well, it's big enough to keep us occupied for a while. I'm sure you'll pull all the strings you need to. Though do tell me before we get there, are we running the risk of running into people we'd rather not ever see again? I can name a few, surface bound too, that I could do without the drama. If I'm supposed to be on vacation, then I will not have drama. I'd like to have one of those where there is none for once." But a tilt of her head. "I'm sure things are fine. Don't say anything that's going to make me think awful things. I'll chop my hair off for that one."

"I can poke because I know that you won't kill me. you might hurt me, but you won't kill me, or permenantly cripple me. big difference."
beofre back to his wife.
"the odds of running into those people are very, very slim."
then back to fianna.
"Okay miss rune mage. who would you propse to fend me off if I negated all magical auras and magical abilities in the kitchen? think your physically strong enough to stop me?"
giving a grin.
"I have means to do that. Malikhai's teacher, for example."

"Only because you're married to my daughter. Otherwise I would." But she shook her head at him as he continued to poke into this little scenario. Great now she'd have to worry about him sneaking up on her or some such thing. "You'd have to catch me first to even hold me down. I can hold my own without magics. Even if you are bigger and stronger than me. Sometimes being the weak small one has its advantages."
"Slim chances are still chances. That's all I'm saying." Seemed like Fianna was the target today. Malik was punishing her in his own rather lighthearted way. It was amusing to be sure.

"Still saying that you won't hurt me like many underdark creatures you prodded at today will you. hence my ability to lecture on it."
reaching over and putting some items on her plate.
"Now at least try somethings. don't be a stick in the mud, as humans are wont to say."

"It was only one that I purposefully prodded. And I didn't know it was a thing until someone decided to tell me and then it was too late. I'll take the rightful blame for touching everything interesting I come across though." A look to her plate then as Malik decided to do what Kieran was doing as well. These men, really. "I am not a stick in the mud as you and others would say. I just don't have cast iron incertators for a stomach like the rest of you. And I have tried a few things."
"I'm done. Can I go?" Piping up from where she was at the table. Though she hadn't eaten as much as she usually did, especially after lessons.

"Well then, this will help you forge some cast iron incinerators."
before looking to his daughter, and his face instantly cooled and took on a much more serious look.
"I know you eat more then that after your necromancy training. What's on your mind, Savyrn?"

"You assume I want some of those. You know, I do like being the delicate one out of this group. It's nice sometimes." Promptly giving a noise those as Piper tossed something at her which bounced off and landed on her plate...and Kieran promptly ate much to Fianna's rolling eyes. "You all are encouragable."
She superficially looked at her plate, knowing there was still half eaten or completely untouched food on it. Another superficial look down the table as if she knew she should look at him as she gave a barely noticible shrug of her shoulders. "I'm not hungry? I wanted to go play." Well, she called it play anyway. Probably more like homework to some, and not even that or play to others.

That got a quirk of his eyebrow...but a glance at the others at the table and a slight shrug of his shoulders.
"Alright, you can go. We'll just save your plate for later if you get hungry from playing."
though a smirk at Fianna.
"think of it this way, we're making sure you appreciate your own Fier'dal food more."

A little nod from her and she easily slipped from her chair. "C'mon Bumbles." Who slipped out from under the table to follow the child as she made her way from the room and headed upstairs to her own room. "Go get it Bumbles." The creature crawling under the girl's bed and a glass jar that clearly wasn't empty rolled out a moment later into the little elf's waiting hands as she had laid stomach down on the floor, kicking her legs in the air and waiting. The draithix followed the jar, jumping up on Savryn's head to inspect what was in the jar. "No, you can't eat it."
"Appreciate my own food more? Now you're just stretching things to make yourself right dear Malik. That's like me telling you to get over pollen."
"I hope she washed her hands before dinner...." Though his attention came back to the table as he was having his own laughs over al that was happening at it. Sure his grandmother was eating a thing or two, but of course it wasn't enough to meet standards in this house. "Give it up grandma, he's not going to relent."
