He took her hand and held it tightly, waiting for her mother to say something. Would she kick him out? Would she say yes? He waited patiently as she apparently brooded over an answer.

Umemi looked at him thoughtfully and wandered what the price should be "what would you offer the okiya?" Umemi asked quietly. She picked up the tea cup and sipped at her warm tea and sighed tiredly. She thought that he would be responsible enough to look after Omny but of course there is always a price for something that you want.

He looked up. "Well, I am known for my entertaining skills. I am a craftsman and often times sell hairpeices to the hair salon. If you wish it so, I could teach singing, dance, art, crafting, defense, or make clothing and accesories for your maikos or geisha. Whatever I you wish me to do, I assure you, I will preform it to the best of my ability every time. Also, if you would like, I could preform for your Okiya. Whatever you wish me to do." He said with a smile.

Omny narowed her eyes as she was beeing priced. To her expectations, she was worth alot more. And being hagled over when she was in the room was not pleasing to her.

Umemi realized that she was at fault "Omny please leave so that we can discuss matters further" she said with a firm look and smile. She sipped at her tea and waited until Omny left the room. "What about gold young man? of course all these abilities will come in very handy to you, though gold is much more valuable to me and the Okiya as that is what keeps us running smoothly" Umei said sternly.

Sitting outside hugging her knees and closing her eyes she could temperarly kill all her other sences so her sence of hearing culd be stronger.

Umemi sighed ruefully and looked at this smart young man and wandered what game he was trying to play at. He should know that if a girl like Omny should ever be granted freedom from the okiya she was held at then there would always be a price to pay. Umemi explained that to him in those words. "So I will grant you what you wish, young man" Umemi said graciously. "Of course I would like you both to still be involved with the Okiya" she said.

He smiled. "Thank you for your kindness." He said with a large bow. "How much do you require? If it is a large sum, I do not know if I can pay in full at the moment, I must retreive other funds."

(( we just do it in a roleplay sense I do not need actual gold but I'll just tell you the amount and we can work it from there )) Umemi nodded and smiled "the pleasure is all mine, hmm well the price should be 6000gold, that is a good deal as most women are paid for at least 10000gold" Umemi said, she looked at him and knew that he would treat Omny well and with respect.

Listening in on the conversation, and hearing the price almost made her want to break in there and blow everyoens heads of. How could she be priced so low! Omny wanted to be duble, no, triple the price of an avrage woman geisha,e ven though she was a maiko.

Umemi knew that Omny was thinking that she was being priced low in gold but her newly found danna was also rich in trades and skills that would be worth alot more to her and the okiyam also it was an interesting situation for a maiko to be priced so early in her training as she was not yet gaisha material.

This drove her mad, her natural reaction would be to tear down the walls yelling and screaming. But she knew that wouldn't do her anygood. Omny bit her thumb as she kept listening at the door.
