pointing a fork at her in jest, before looking to his daughter.
"Not just yet, Savryn. Your grandparents are here, and your grandmother enjoys animals. maybe you can talk to her about bumbles."

“Ah ha, don’t confuse wanderlust with wolves to blood.” Slapping his fork out of his hand and onto the table with a smile before returning to her own food a little.
Dhairiss liked animals too. She would have retorted back with that but knew it better to not protest against this all. They wanted her to get to know these people more than just occasional visitors who could move things and cause potential hazards. For a second she pouted before she decided to try and be good when she would rather go and do something else. “His name is Bumbles because he gets under my feet a lot. I broke him but now he’s better. I tried to wear him like a hat earlier but he wouldn’t stay there. I don’t think he’s smart as Yinn yet.” Because Yinn sat obediently on Khai. Bumbles not so much.
Fianna gave a light smile as Malik attempted to get the youngest child to be a bit more friendly and she had a go at it. “If you want him to sit on your head like a hat, or around your shoulders like a scarf then you have to bribe him and let him know it’s okay to be there. Give him a treat and you’ll both be happy.” Giving the girl a tip back, seeing as she at least tried. Turning a look to Malik then, “Would be good practice for her as well, learning that particular balance.” Might as well prepare for bird things now.

"Well...wanderlust did have a part in it but I reinterate the same statement that I always make when asked about these things. I was perfectly safe, despite the look of danger." He gave a chuckle as indeed it was said often to soothe a wife that wasn't or someone else that wasn't happy with his impromptu searches for knowledge. But he raised an eyebrow at Malik's warning of sorts. "What do you mean?" Granted he got the innuendo in that statement, he was still puzzled.

"It never occured to you how I learned my way around requias, or how I know what I do know about Damios? Isle was able to filch your jounrals on both places for me when I requested information. and give that she is about as excitable as others when it comes to their sense of adventure, you think it's a good idea to grant her the tools to get to such information?"
folding his hands lightly.
"Isle was my backup plan on that particular venture. She knew where I was, what I was doing. and I could call upon her if I needed."

"Hm, I figured you were meaning a Rainsong. Isleandra has a particular flair for breaking into things of the magical keeping. Lateef usually caught her quick afterwards but I suppose even she can slip him up these days. Nillrik is learning the same though I think you have your own little talented thief to worry about and I don't mean your wife." Side glancing Dhairiss who was trying to mess with his now pouty sister but only got a bite from Bumbles to reward him.

"Indeed. just a fair warning, is all. and I've heard about how much you 'weren't in danger' Kieran. as a matter of fact that was brought to my attention about the time Zahara was forced to carve a chunk out of sevilin's face."
A slight grin at Bumbles biting his youngest son. apparently he picked up on when his daughter didn't want to be messed with.

She merely laughed and continued moving her hands along his body. "It's part of mom's requirements. Every one of her children will have a basic knowledge of healing, cooking, and runes. Dad either agrees or decided it was far easier not to fight her." Wincing at his exclamation, she shook her head. "Don't whine. I have to touch to find out where it hurts and why it hurts."
She supposed that made perfect sense. Things could be a whole lot worse after all. She relaxed into his fingers and sighed softly then nodded. "And whoever believes it needs to be solved should be the one doing the bringing up, right?"

"I have high hopes with this new methodology and that one. really, the one that tests my nerves and such of late is my youngest son. particularly with my vaults. and it's not even a magical talent it's some sort of energy manipulation like runics. learned that when I tried to barricade my vaults with anti-magical fields. I'm about ready to put guards in them of a magical nature. maybe a few smaller evil eyes."

Dipping into the creams and such that were always on her person, she dabbed them over the worst of his cuts and bruises and then pulled back. "You'll be fine tomorrow. These will help heal you and that's better than you can do sitting around moping."
"I'll keep that in mind." She snuggled down in his arms and kept his other hand in her own. "Better to focus on the happy moments instead. I'm sorry if I worried you. Zahara says I'll be okay though, right?"

"Not much you can do to prevent against a talent like he possesses really, save for posting physical guard to catch him when he breaks through the barriers. Energy is inherent in almost everything there is after all. Maybe you could find an activity that he could channel the talent into other than your vaults."
He gave little more protest to her poking and cream smearing but that was all and soon enough he was pulling his tunic back on. "I don't sit around and mope, thank you very much. I usually just put them out of my mind and get around to them when I do."
"She said you'll be fine. You just need some rest is all. You have a tendency to make yourself a busy body and that's not always good for you. Have to stop and take a break and be lazy every now and then. Now is a good time for that and anything you need I'll get for you."
