"A lot? I thought you mostly kept to yourself. Who else has hurt you, Myk?" She realized she was intruding on personal ground and wouldn't force him to answer but she'd known him for a long time and she couldn't honestly say she knew very much about him. "Until you find love again."

"I only had a few sips if that makes you feel any better. It just didn't taste right and made me feel funny." She savored that smile, giving it right back to him and holding his hand against her cheek for a moment before pressing a kiss to his palm. "But you like taking care of me, too, and this is the perfect opportunity for you to spoil me as much as you like. I won't even fight you on it."

"Oh...no. Not like that. I meant you know...I'm always getting hurt. The old pain was phsyical, and I deal with a lot of that. Something is always out of place or whatnot. I just meant nothing compares. You're right, I don't socialize much." That probably made things just as much more awkward. Moreso at her other statement. "Assuming a happy fairytale ending for me hm? How nice of you."

"Her drinks are supposed to do that. Taste is something acquired as is the case with most alcohols." He couldn't help the slight laugh that escaped his throat though. "Oh you say that now but how do I know you're going to keep your word on that?"

"Oh, I see. You're meant to grieve and I'm not really sure it ever truly goes away. I can't say losing my brother was the same because I never even got to meet him. I didn't find out about it until I was older, too." Shaking her head and keeping her arm around him for emotional support. "My mother believes everyone will fall in love one way or another. They may not act on it but they'll certainly feel it. If you do, would you choose not to act on it? To avoid losing someone again?"

"I don't think I'll be acquiring a taste for them because that requires drinking more than one." She sat up once again and reached for the bowl to sip some more of the broth then gave him a gentle smile. "It's against my nature to sit and be spoiled but I'll do my best. I'll even let you risk getting sick yourself if you want to kiss me."

"I don't know. I mean, I love you and yet here we are still. Lossing you would be like trying to lose my ears. Not an easy thing to do. I'm stuck with you." A chuckle to that before he gave a shrug of his shoulders before a sigh. These kinds of subjects were complicated. He didn't understand why people wanted to have lengthy discussions about it. Maybe he was just too simple to understand the magnitude. He knew he wasn't the sharpest sword in the armory, that was for sure. "Life does what it wants, I'm just a spectator."

"Dearest, we were curled up together in reverie all night. Besides, I believe being married negates being afraid of sharing germs with one another as it is inevitable. It's almost a perk I think. You know, miserable together and what not sometimes. Misery loves company as I hear it." Thusly leaning forward and brushing a kiss over her lips in show of his own words. "If my mother is any indicator to go by, you'll learn to enjoy it and exploit it but still retain your independence when you want it."

"That's not what I mean and you know it." Wrapping an arm around his neck and kissing his cheek. "Nope, you can't get rid of me. I put up with your crap and you put up with mine and together we have a perfect relationship." She'd never agreed with his life philosophy and always thought he was just waiting for something to drag him back into the game. "I guess we all do whatever we have to."

"I guess I was breathing on you with my germs." She smiled up at him and then wrapped her arms around his neck, holding that kiss when he would have pulled away. "I don't know about misery but I do know that I love your company, especially when I don't feel well." She scooted closer to him and rested her cheek against his thigh where he was seated on the bed. "Zahara told me I have a lot to learn about everything. How come no one teaches you how to be married?"

"So you say." Giving her a goofy grin and a laugh as she cuddled up to him with affection and he could only laugh to that and sling an arm around her waist to give her a squeeze. "Perfect as screwed up can be I guess. But hey, it's fun if anything." Nodding lightly. "You either survive or you die, that's just how it is. Speaking of which, watch your knee near my side there. Still have hurt spots on me."

Giving a sigh he brushed his fingers through her hair as she made herself comfortable on his person. "Probably because they find it funny for you to flounder just as much as they did. I don't think anyone's ever made a set plan because it never goes the same anywhere with everyone."

A slight grin as his oldest came down to fetch broth and give his wolves to blood comment...and watching his daughter mess with his youngest son. she had a natural talent it seemed for necromancy...or magic in general, much like his oldest.

But he allowed things to go as they would around the table, staying relatively quiet and just observing, though giving the once over to Zahara.

"Things aren't horribly bad, I take it?"

"Screwed up? Speak for yourself, Mykorian. I am the picture of perfection." Patting his cheek and then giving a nod. "Life is more than just surviving though. If that's all that it is, it's not even worth it to live. You've got to find a reason to survive." Frowning, she shifted and reached down gently touching his side. "I can heal that for you if you like."

He would probably never know how good she felt at that moment in time. Despite her tummy revolting and her head pounding, just feeling his presence beside her and his fingers gently sliding through her hair, she felt fine. "All couples have different problems? I'd like to have no problems at all between us."

"Malikhai's got an attitude but I should expect that after dealing with you all these years. You men when the ones you love are hurt." Rolling her eyes and then making her way to a chair and collapsing back into it. "She caught something on Andal and it simply has to work it's way through her system. Depending on how serious, I might be able to heal her in a few hours or tomorrow at the latest."

"Yeah yeah you're perfect. But find a passion hm? I'll let you know when I find one. Right now, I live to protect the people here. I think that's a good enough excuse for the time being." He gave a noise at her poking though, why was it always with the poking. "I thought you needed to be resting from all of that."

"Every one of them. I think it's impossible to have a relationship without problems. If you've never been through a problem together then how do you know you're going to get through everything that you have to deal with in life? Problems are healty. It's all about making sure the problems are solved and not left to fester."

"Savryn D'vinn don't you throw that." The voice made her pause as she was indeed about throw whatever it was she had in hand at her brother as they had been continuing to torment one another. "He started it." Sticking her tongue out at her brother. However that also got her attention on the issues at hand. "Does that mean she can leave sooner Zara?"

"well he is father's son."

glancing at his wife with a slight grin.

"You think wolves to blood is genetic?"

"It is quite a good one. And I respect you for being willing to do so." She was being gentle but sometimes poking was required to keep things healthy and safe. "I should be fine. I'm not pouring blood yet so a little bit of magic usage shouldn't push me over the threshhold."

Kaelin frowned. "But I don't like fighting with you." Problems and fighting wasn't synonymous though and she needed to make that distinction in her mind. "We don't allow ours to fester, right? I mean if you were ever upset with me, you would tell me the reason why, yes?" She was testing him now. He'd been upset with her the other night and had merely shrugged it off. Would he come clean now?

"Kaelin?" Zahara glanced at Malik and Piper. "Is she going on another trip that I'm not aware of?" Because that was cause for concern. "She'll be able to play with you and be up and moving around but I won't let her leave for a little while. We'll see how badly this affects her before she can go to a different plane again."
PostPosted: Sun Sep 20, 2009 6:53 pm

"I suppose...but if you start pouring blood then it's not my fault and that will be public knowledge. I have more brusies and scrape on me than you know. It's just all covered with clothes and what not. What can I say, I work hard and work is hard back."

"No we're fine in that area." But he wasn't stupid, they both knew that half the time he got upset he didn't tell her and just waited for things to work themselves up. "Well, I don't tell you all the time. Sometimes I think that telling you would just makes things worse than better. So I let it work itself out."

"If it is genetic, it didn't come from my side. These two had things work out and didn't have much wolves to blood problems." Gesturing to her parents whom merely gave back rather childish grins.

A nod to Zahara. "They're moving out." And she still didn't like the idea. So she was happy that Kaelin couldn't leave yet. Kaelin leaving meant her world changed and Savryn was for the most part and regarding most things, very opposed to change. However now Zahara had confused her a little and a sweeping look was given to the table for anyone to answer. "Are they moving to another plane?"

lifting up his finger.

"I believe your father had a dragon to face..and I bet Lateef kept at lot of the wolves at bay."

glancing at his daughter.

"No, they aren't moving off plane. and they aren't moving far away, either. Or at least they better not be just yet."
PostPosted: Sun Sep 20, 2009 7:57 pm

"Fair enough." She rolled her eyes and waited for him to finish then easily tugged his tunic off. Her intake of breath confirmed for her what he'd claimed. He really did have bruises and such everywhere. "You weren't kidding. Some of these don't require magic, just a special salve my mother makes and forces us all to carry with us constantly." That being said, she laid her hands on the worst of the wounds and used her own natural abilities to heal it to the best of her ability.

She reached up and moved his hand through her hair to tell him wordlessly to continue what he'd been doing before while she digested what he was telling her. It was hard to understand the way that he thought sometimes. This time he was being honest but evasive while he did so. "Which you think is best." And maybe it was. "What if it doesn't work itself out?"

"Ah." She nodded and then glanced at Malik. "Your father was talking about taking all of you on another trip and I thought that's what you were talking about. No, I don't think Kaelin and Malikhai will be moving out for quite a while, little one. Certainly not tomorrow."

"You all carry around all kinds of crazy things. Your whole family should just set up shop of healers for hire. Travel to great far off places, see exotic new things, taste the local cuisine in over a dozen taverns per adventu-ow. Careful." Said as she had to touch to heal but hey he was used to it. He could come into the clerics with an axe in his shoulder and probably wouldn't be making a single sound over it.

Message received he took to letting his fingers play through her hair again as she wanted. "In some cases." Right now, he would consider this portion of their talk one of those things that could possibly just work itself out. No one said relationships were easy. "If it doesn't work itself out after some time then it's something that should be brought up and solved however it needs to be."

"Well...only Lateef will ever know that but I'm still going to say most of the trouble comes from your side, you power-mongering-overlord." Said sweetly however as she was teasing him.

Apparently they weren't going anywhere anytime soon according to daddy and the only travel plans at all were the ones her parents had been discussing. But with two people reassuring her she felt better about the matter. "Good." Though apparently she was done tormenting her brother and set her fork on her plate. "I'm done. Can I go?" Because she still considered her grandparents company rather than family and when company was around, you had to use your manners.
