“You just don’t like to shop.” He laughed at her before offering up his arm to her and heading out of the small place he called a home on the Twilight lands. It did it’s job. He preferred walking as well to the market, nodding to people and being friendly and what not in general. Everyone knew Mykorian. “Craving anything particular? I have some extra money for the expensive things.”
He was monitoring what she was doing and what not, but only with half a mind. After all he was the one who was still half out of it. But taking hold of her hands under the sheets in one of his he brought them up to press a kiss to her palms and fingertips. “Yes.” He’d save his convincing and what not for when they had their own place. He had to deal with her insecurities and shyness enough and if she was a noise maker, Gods help them she’d never even look at anyone ever again. “We have a lot to do before we can invest in fun things.”
He wrinkled his nose and shook his head as apparently they were having a conversation all their own that somehow involved him, he just wasn’t sure how. Thus he was going to keep his mouth shut on it and eat his food.
Poking at his pancakes he laughed. “You know, sometimes I think you take too much pleasure in drugging everyone that you know. Malik is about the only one you haven’t got to and yet I’m sure you’ve slipped him a thing or two from time to time. You’re devious like that. That’s where Faate gets it from.”

"No, I really don't." But she didn't mind interacting with people and she actually had a much more enjoyable time on the way to the market than she thought she would. "I have some steel to contribute as well. We should do steaks! And fresh vegetables." She kept her arm in his and pulled him along to some of her mother's favored vendors who knew her on sight and began showing off their best wares. "What do you think? Steak, salad, and baked potatoes? I know a really neat way to make them."
That confused her for a moment but he seemed to be perfectly fine with his decision. "Oh." Well, he wasn't angry at her which was a good thing. She snuggled closer to him and let out a breath. "We do? What do we have to do? What fun things?" Wait, was she being naive again?
"It's important that my irresponsible children don't have children of their own until they're ready and able to care for them, therefore, I drug. Malik is drugged as well just not by my hand personally. I've been drugging him for the last couple of years the way I have everyone else." She stood up and walked over, pressing a kiss to her husband's cheek. "Kit is concerned we're having another baby."

He wasn't sure about this whole food thing as she started into her own plans as he usually ate very simple. Mostly because he couldn't cook too well. "Only if you're cooking it because knowing me, I'd just burn it all and we'd be eating charcoal. Which is not fun."
"Well, we have to finalize plans for the house and pick exactly where we want it, I have to help my sister, and I can leave decorating and such up to you for the house. You can even plan to paint murals of your favorite places on the walls if you'd like. I'll have to make sure to buy you the high quality paint for that, and some new brushes."
"Why would we be having another baby?" He tilted his head at that notion, not quite sure why his son would be thinking that as Zahara hadn't been giving off the 'I want another baby' signs.
"Because sooner or later I'm going to leave and every time one of us leaves, she ends up pregnant."
"Not every time."

"Fair enough, I'll deal with him then on my own time. Savryn is my daughter. despite how things have been. And I'm not about to have my youngest disrespect me over her being my daughter."
finishing up brushing her hair, and making sure it was just the way he wanted, ear twitching slightly.
"The oldest is awake. So what did you and Zahara plan for him?"

She shot him a look of disgust. "I'm beginning to think my mother is right and most men can't cook." Shaking her head as she began pointing things out to the vendors and haggling over prices. "We'll cook together. You can help me and I'll make sure you don't burn anything."
If there was anything that could take her mind off sex right now it was painting. And that seriously excited her. She bounced with glee and ended up falling right out of bed onto her bottom. Wincing at the hard floor's rough contact, she grinned up at Malikhai sheepishly and clapped her hands. "I can paint our walls? With anything I want?"
"No, not every time but we are fully capable of choosing to have another baby and then making it happen. Frankly, this time I think I'm going to enjoy being alone with your father. It's never truly been just the two of us. I think it will be fun."

"All I ask is that you be reasonably gentle but firm with him. You know he doesn't handle your criticism and suggestion like Khai does." Dhairiss was indeed the gentler child of the three. Turning to face him she felt out bonds as well and indeed the oldest was now awake. the other two had been long up. "He gets to join the rest of us in the world of being drugged. That and you know...all those womanly secrets we use to plot against the menfolk. Classified information you know that."
"It's not that we can't, it's just that we don't take the time to learn to do it well and thus end up only doing simple things. You gotta remember I took care of myself for a long while, I still eat a lot of stuff raw." He did love sushi something fierce. "That works. Maybe you'll teach me a thing or two." Though with thoughts of sushi in his head he purchases some choice cuts of fish as well.
He smiled as he saw how happy she could be over such simple pleasures. He grinned even wider as Yinn came rocketing out from under the bed and pouncing on her with glee, licking and nuzzling and demanded pets while she was down there by flopping across her lap on his back. "Yes, with anything your heart desires, dearest."
"I'm not scrambling for a child any time soon." After all, what with Faate's training stepping up being one factor and then there was Savryn. Zahara often tried to make amends these days to Piper by helping out with the girl when she could. It was like having another child of their own some days. "Yeah, no more kid food."

"Raw, hm? Maybe I'll have you cook me a thing or two just to see. Tasting different kinds of food can always be fun." Case in point, whatever he was buying now. She added a few spices to the basket and handed over a bag of steel from her winnings at the tournament. "Anything else you want or need while we're out? Dessert perhaps?"
"Just waiting for us to get up, hm?" Yinn made her giggle and she glanced down at him then shook her head as she scratched his exposed belly. Who would have thought that getting a little stern with Yinn would have turned him into such a lovable friend? "Oh, I could do the sunset and flowers and snowflakes. I could even do a room themed in Selkor!" But then she took on that thinking look and gave a laugh. "We could have an Andal themed house with each room a different area! I think that would get on our nerves, though. Maybe a few murals but not all the walls."
She was inclined to agree with her husband and gave a shrug to Kit. "Looks like no younger siblings for you for a while, if ever." His grumble about food made her laugh and pounce on him, kissing his cheek once again. "He likes being an adult, don't you, Raven? And you're finally old enough that I can bop you with a spoon when you aren't behaving and you know what's wrong and can fix it lest you get bopped again. Why give up that freedom?"

"Is it still called cooking if there's no heat really involved?" Though she was right, tasting new foods was always a blast unless you go sick or were allergic. But the remorse came later in those cases and the moment was good beforehand. "Dessert? I don't eat that too much. I think sugar makes me sick or something."
And there went her brain, skipping off with all the ideas that could come to fruition and live on their walls. "I'm sure once you decide what room is for what and how furniture goes then you'll know where and what to paint. Artistic process is all about envisioning and what not as I understand."
He laughed as she pounced him in childish fashion as she still did from time to time. "I like using a fork and real sauces when I eat is that so bad? It's your fault I'm like that. You spoiled me into it."
Kit rolled his eyes, halfway through his plate of food. "Don't get too excited. I'm still in the room you know." Giving a dismissive gesture with his fork at his mother. "Yeah yeah the spoon. That thing will be back to more stirring and less hitting soon enough."

"Well...my mother often says all meals are in the preparation so maybe that's a better word for it." She was rather surprised to find that he share her lack of enthusiasm for sweet things. She'd never been big on the giant chocolate cakes and things her mother always made. "I can't have a lot of it so I usually stay away from them as well. If that's the case, I think we're done here."
"But first we have to make the plans for the house. I think we should get started on that, don't you? Figuring out how big it is and how many rooms we're going to have and what each one is going to be for." Yes, her mind was whirling a thousand miles a minute. She picked Yinn up and plopped him on the bed so Malikhai could continue to pet at him and searched through her belongings until she found her sketch pad and a charcoal sketching pencil. Flopping back on the bed on her tummy, she began to put what she was envisioning on paper. "What do we need, Khai?"
"And since when as that stopped us before?" And just because her son had chosen to say something, she flopped in her husband's lap and began feeding him pieces of bacon from her fingertips and giving him kisses in between. "I'm sure the spoon doesn't enjoy being smacked against your hard heads anymore than I enjoy doing it. Don't you have school today, Kithaan?"

"Meal works." Giving a nod to her and a commonplace hand gesture of thanks to vendors as he took his own paper wrapped packages and the two started back to his place and into the kitchen, putting things away. "I take it this means that you're staying another night since this seems lunch or dinner type things."
She was so excited wasn't she? But he started where she left off on Yinn as she pulled out her sketch pad. "Well, let's see...we need your basics; kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and storage, pantry, our bedroom, a study for me, an art room for you if you'd like it, just a room to sit in, and an extra room or two doesn't hurt."
"Yeah you're right. Silly me." He rolled his eyes again as she went to showing off and his father not protesting any of it. Scratching at Nym again he finished his breakfast and got up. "Yeah yeah, I'm going. Better than watching you two play married. I'll let you know if I see Faate on the way. Later."
Sevilin gave another light chuckle after swallowing. "You at least always know how to get rid of the kids we already do have, if anything."

"One of these days I'm going to bribe one of the servant girls to feed me that information. just so I know what devious things you women plan when your alone."
a slight chuckle and a nod.

"I might as well. Maybe it will get my mother off my back once and for all. I'll just tell her that I liked the sex so much I stayed for a second dose. That ought to knock her right off the pedestal my father's been trying to destroy for years."
She scribbled as he spoke and then glanced up at him for a moment. "How big do you want your study and do you have a preference for where it is in the house?" Her pencil was busy sketching out what looked extremely close to building plans minus measurements. First for the floorplan. "Your mother mentioned children to me. Is that what you're thinking about as well?"
"It's a mom thing." She watched Kit pick up his books and skedaddle and went back to 'playing married' as he called it. Except it wasn't all about sex for them anymore and she was rather content to share breakfast with him while she sat in his lap and merely talked. They'd always been pretty good at talking to each other about just about anything. Eventually though, the conversation moved to Faate and Zahara shared her fears. "I just don't want her to do something silly because she felt too much pressure last night. We hadn't even gotten out the alcohol when we started that discussion which was a bad tactical move on my part. If I was smart, that would have come out first thing."

"Though wouldn't dare betray the secrets of women. It would merely ruin them as well. It is a wall that you will never get to peek over, Malik D'vinn." Turning around to poke him in the nose to get her own point of sorts across. "Try hard Malik. You know how he is. Starting a fight with him isn't going to get anyone anywhere." Thusly getting herself up and getting dressed, electing to go fancy today.
"Fair enough, though I'm running if I have to. Running and never coming out of whatever hole I find to duck into to hide." But it wouldn't be the first time she'd taken refuge at his place and it wouldn't be the last. Things would always go back to what they usually were.
"Not really any preferences. I just need a room that can be quiet, have some storage, and has a door." Watching her scribble as apparently she was having a great investmen in it. It was nice to see. "Perhaps eventually, but that's a down the road thing. Extra rooms are good for all kinds of things besides kids."
She was not letting the Faate thing go, granted he understood. "Define 'silly'. And you're always using the alcohol aren't you? You either had to push her out and let her do what she will, tell her what to do, or leave her alone. There's not much you can do with her. If she's not ready, she's not ready."

"Alright, I won't start any fights. or at least I'll try really hard not to. and since I know you know, where is the second son? he seems to like to hide himself from my ability to track him with it. which if you taught him to do that I'll hope you won't do it with the others."
a slight smirk and getting up and getting dressed himself, though raising an eyebrow at her choice in clothing.
"expecting company?"

“He’s with Savryn, outside.” Giving him a look and a blink of innocence that she could still muster. “Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I just want to look pretty. Maybe I want to ruin something fancy and force you to buy me something new. Who knows.”
