A smirk at them and settling down in a seat and watching carefully to make sure everything was going fine.

"You wouldn't be laughing if you knew that I can't see a damn thing right now and it's starting to freak me out as I feel like I'm in a box." Waving a hand in front of his own face and yup...he was getting nothing. Made him indeed feel claustrophobic. Did not envy his sister at all in this aspect.
Savryn also wasn't happy. Things had gone dark for her again but she was used to that, however she was not enjoying the pain that had shot through her temples and she pressed her hands there as if that was going to help the pain, making a face to it all. Meanwhile the slight color to her eyes had left and the draithix had slipped under Malik's seat in hiding. "It hurts."
"Will work, but not yet. I think that's something beyond her...people are much more complicated that little critters." Though that little chain reaction couldn't be good...
Well then, that would explain any awkward and the like. Her son had been trying to set a mood for a romantic evening that should have gone one way and it seemed things had gone over Kaelin's head completely. "Were you two worn out from all the festivities? I know Malik does love to make a big deal out of things and he had spared no exception. I was surprised I had any energy on our own wedding night to be up for anything other than a good reverie." Subtle investigation indeed.
"A giant mess. Is seducing the right word? We both know he probably wouldn't even need that. He'd be more worried that she would turn on him afterward and be nothing more than a castrating she-beast of sorts. However the important thing is the help you can give her...Gods know I have no advice, or rather suitable advice." Brushing a hand through her hair, playing with her braid some as a habit he had developed. "Hopefully, she won't enjoy it too much and we end up with another Zykariel. Much as I do love the boy, he simply has his ways with women."

settling back a bit in his seat, and steepling his hands some.
"So, Malikhai. time for some guy talk since the girls are having theirs. how was your first day as a married couple? I do hope my extravagances as your mother puts it didn't ruin a good evening?"

"I was. I think Malikhai had some energy but really, he just wanted to be with me and I wanted to be with him. It was really wonderful." It was the second night that things had gone so terribly wrong. "At first he had roaming hands but that stopped when he saw how worn out I was. Besides, I'm used to his enjoyment of touching. I don't really understand it, but I am used to it."
"Damn kids. Why do they have to be so damn difficult? It's not like they have rape issues to get over like we did." Sitting up and tugging her knees up to rest her chin on them. "I don't understand where I went so wrong with her. Zykariel and Lyssie never had a problem with it. Lyssie had her moments where she did things she really shouldn't have but they were relatively open to the whole thing. Why not Faate? And am I going to fail just as much with Kit?" She glanced back at him and patted his thigh. "He gets it from you. You had me twisted all up the first time I saw you."

Great he was getting all the attention. Irony had a way of making that happen when he didn’t want it to. “It was fine, we settled in, got some rest. You should know by now that your extravagances wear everyone but you out.”
Gee, that grand bad father aspect was glaring through wasn’t it? His father’s probably own twisted way of punishing him by not caring at all of the problem that was present. Nor did he care if Savryn was hurting either…focused on Khai again. Sighing he got himself up. “Come here Savvy. I’ll get you something for your head so it stops hurting.” Taking her hand in his and tugging her off…though with his own difficulty as he had no clue how to figure out where he was with no vision.
She was a little confused but went with her brother anyway, if anything to let him make her head stop hurting. “Did I do bad?”
“No, you did just fine. There’s just more…important…things.” Not true but he was going to spare feelings here. But he had an idea of his own to help with his own problem. “Let’s go to the solarium for a bit. The light will help us both.”
Piper couldn’t help but smile despite things perhaps not enjoyed by the two. Then again not everyone had to be the same. “Men always have energy for something or other. That’s why they can be so annoying.” Quirking an eyebrow though, “What’s not to understand? It’s all about pleasure. Doesn’t do anything for you?”
Whoa, she just went off the deep end there. “I think you’re over reacting now. She’s just single minded and off put by her sister, who is also a lot like you. She’s subtle where you three are not. Kit’s easygoing himself, he won’t be a problem..” Giving an amused noise to her though, “Sure, now you admit it. You never would before.”

Kaelin frowned, trying to find some kind of explanation to the way it made her feel. "It's not so much that. Sometimes it feels nice but it also feels strange and wrong." Chewing on her lower lip once more, she lifted her eyes to her mother-in-law's and suddenly burst into tears. "He's an animal and I don't know how to handle it! I still love him...but I can't do what he wants me to. It would just be...wrong."
"Probably. I do that when it comes to my children." She flopped back against him and began to play with his hand as was her normal habit in moments like these. His other hand was resting against her stomach and she let him draw patterns and such as he desired. "I can't help but think there's something more to it than that, Raven. Running competition with her sister would mean that she'd have at least dipped into and experienced sex. But you never got that indication, did you?" She felt her own lips quirk and reached up, pressing a hand to his cheek. "Almost forty years and I'm just now admitting it. That doesn't bode well for my other secrets."

Malik smirked lightly to himself. He knew fully well about his daughter. he also knew fully well why her head was hurting. when she stopped messing with her brother's vision, it would subside. and it got his youngest out of his hair a moment. Dhairiss didn't know how close Malik had been to backhanding him.
"So she says. but you had much more time then that. yet you come home seemingly..frustrated with something. what's the matter?"

Another shrug, as he really didn’t want to talk about this at all but know being evasive in his usual agitated way would get him nowhere with his father, save for the man coming on stronger. “Lot of things to be done and what not. That’s the problem with vacations. You shove everything to the side and when you come back the work pile is twice as big and what not. You know I hate backworking.”
Piper however wasn’t very surprised by Kaelin’s reaction, what with how the girl had been brought up and all the other issues and the like she had. Oh kids. Never done raising them at all it seemed. “Now now, calm down. This is nothing to get all worked up over.” After all, she’s seen far worse than this. It’s name was Sevilin and Zahara. “New things are always strange and we learn to enjoy them. Why would sex and the like be so wrong?” They were all grown ups here, no need to tip toe around it all. Though Piper was in an odd way amused by all of this.
“Yes you do.” He poked at her playfully as she could at least admit when she was overreacting. But she did know him didn’t she? His hands always needed something to do or he was otherwise restless…it used to annoy her to no end until she learned to like it. “No, and she won’t talk to me about those kinds of things.” He did give an amused sound though, “Took me forever to break you down but I’m finally doing it. All your secrets will soon be mine, mwaha.”
They were laying in the grass and staring up at the light that filtered through the tree leaves. Well…he was anyway. Savryn was nodding off into reverie next to him as her body was starting to respond to the strain of magic use. It was creepy in a sense that his sister had taken so well to that as it was necromancy and well, that just wasn’t usually a natural talent kind of thing. Then again his sister seemed special in more ways than one.
At least his vision was coming back, the gold in his eyes shining and helping him recover it faster as things subsided. Better to stay out here for a while anyway before he got into it with his brother and father. They didn’t spend as much time with Savvy as he did and sometimes he felt they were both against her. Reaching over he pet through her hair lightly to soothe her more into reverie before looking back up at the leaves.
His mind drifted a lot these days, taking him places that his feet didn’t want to go because they wanted to stay anchored home for his sister. Mom couldn’t take care of Savvy all by herself all the time. What was it called? Mom had said it before…that’s it. Wanderlust. That’s what he was feeling, there just wasn’t much he could do about it. He couldn’t be that selfish, it would hurt too many others.

"Like being married." Shaking her head and then glancing at Piper as if trying to find some kind of way to explain how she was feeling about this whole thing. Kaelin did know a thing or two about sex but she only knew that elves did it and it was supposed to be a lot of fun. She'd never been told what it was or how it was done. "There's nothing wrong with sex. It's the way Malikhai wants to do it. I'll be more than happy to...do it...in a civilized way."
He grazed her more ticklish spots and she squirmed in reaction, shifting and pushing against his hand before settling once again. "And you know everything there is to know about every child that's ever stepped foot in this house. I'll just have to see if I can get anything worthwhile out of her." She glanced up at him with a chuckle and then quirked an eyebrow. "Do you really want to lay down a challenge about this?"

Oh this was getting more and more amusing that was for sure, though she kept her amusement to herself for Kaelin's sake. "Civilized...what do you mean by that? If you wanted my opinion on it, such things are hardly ever true to the definition of civilized...otherwise it wouldn't nearly be as much fun as it can be. I'll tell you that much." Tables certinally weren't civilized to most. For someone sheltered like Kaelin, she could only imagine how something could look to her.
"So I'm protective of my offspring. That should be an admirable quality in me." Poking at her again just because he could and he liked to mess with her when he was winning. "Oh so it's a challenge now? To what? Dig up the rest of our dirty secrets?"
"No, no problems there. Everything was really nice. In fact you'd be happy to know that Ravenwings left Odaria. I think grandma said they went somewhere on the mountain side of Loraste." Giving his father a smirk, "You try to did deep when you want to, don't you?"

Now it was Kaelin's turn to look at Piper like she was missing something. Obviously they weren't on the same page here at all. "Well...like elves do it." Which she really had no clue of and had been expecting Malikhai to show her. She'd been slightly disappointed he'd given up so easily on their wedding night since she was curious about this big sex secret. "Maybe if I tell you what happened, you'll understand what I mean." Kaelin settled back in her chair to make herself more comfortable. "Everything was going so well. He was telling me all those sweet things he likes to whisper and we were kissing and I was just starting to feel all warm inside when he actually said..." She bit her lip and glanced around to make sure no one else was in the room before her voice dropped to an embarrassed whisper. "He said that he couldn't wait to be inside of me." And Kaelin had gone cold and stiff at the very thought. She'd stared at him as though he'd told her he wanted to have sex with a moose and then quickly pushed away and hid in the bathroom for a moment to compose herself. Nothing had been the same since.
"Which is the very reason why I picked you, alpha male." She turned around and plopped a tiny kiss on his nose then sat back on her heels and quirked an eyebrow once again. "Our secrets? You mean you're keeping secrets from me?"

"Some would call that over protective." His smirk mirroring his father's before he gave a sigh. "Well me and Kaelin did have a fight over home plans. She kind of wants to live in Andal." Which he had no interest in at all. It was a nice vacation spot, but the underdark was home. "I really don't want to. We started tiffing about that, then it got into family which you know she has almost a total lack of understanding when it comes to that, and it made for tension. I don't even know if we're done fighting about that yet. We just sort of did that whole 'fine' thing and spent some alone time away from each other."
Piper was still just watching. "And? That's nothing out of the ordinary. That's how it works. You do know that...right?" Yet if Piper was asking, the answer was probably no. "Granted men like to flaunt and ego fluff and what not but that's how men are. Wrapping an arm around Kaelin's shoulders, Piper gave a sigh with that understanding tone to it. "My dear, that is nothing strange or to be afraid of. I'm sure you'd figure out really quick exactly what he means if you gave it all a chance. I could promise you that you'd never want to lack such experiences again." She could boast that too because she had proved Zahara right as well. So there.
"Oh really? I thought you always said it was the good looks that I constantly protest against having." Reaching out he pushed her back to disrupt her balance, just for the fun of irritating her in simple ways. "I've no more secrets left. You've either pulled them from me or they've come back to haunt me and have been weeded out. I don't think I have any more of them. Or any that I can think of, or haven't blocked out myself."

"I can understand that. the underdark holds no real family for her other then her now extended family by us. and it's full of memories she'd probably rather not remember. and you feel this is home, and would prefer the underfoot. The advice I can offer there is to try and help her see the beauty that is here. that you can't find on the surface. there is beauty here, despite it being somewhat more dangerous. The surface can be just as deadly as the underfoot, after all."
watching his son a moment. but that fight seemed pretty settled with the idead of them building their own home here.
