Hey, Pazzy. I was thinking of downloading Pidgin rather than trying to find my backup of AIM 98, but I realized I don't even remember half of the usernames of people on my buudy list without looking at them. Does it have an option to import buddy lists or somesuch?

Eh... it probably mentions that on the site. Guess I should just do it when I have more time.

Edit: Well ********. I apparently forgot my AIM password, and the e-mail address I used to register it ceased to function years ago. I guess I'm going to have to get everything off the old laptop and make a new account. Which will probably get me ignored by half of my buddy list. I want to talk to someone, now, but I don't have time to do all that. crying

A Fatal Fairytale
That sounds delicious. gonk heart

I made the mistake of looking around gourmet.com's "best of x decade" cookie recipe list... I wanna make them all!

Quote:
Peanut butter pie
1 chocolate cookie pie crust
1 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup sugar
12 oz container of Cool Whip
1 11.75 oz jar Smucker's Hot Fudge Ice Cream Topping Divided
Drizzle:
2 tablespoons Smucker's Hot Fudge
2 tablespoons Jif Peanut Butter

1. In a medium bowl, beat together the Jif Peanut Butter, cream cheese and sugar. Gently fold in 3 cups whipped topping. Spoon mixture into pie shell. Using a spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie.

2. Reserving 2 tablespoons of Smuckers hot fudge, place remaining Smucker's Hot Fudge into microwave safe bowl or glass measuring cup. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Spread over pie to cover the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until serving time.

3. Just before serving, spread the remaining whipped topping over hot fudge layer, being careful not to mix the two layers.

4. Place the 2 tablespoons Smucker's Hot fudge in a small baggie and knead for a few seconds. Cut a tiny hole in the corner of the bag and drizzle over pie. Do the same with 2 tablespoons Jif Peanut Butter going in the opposite direction of the Smucker's Hot Fudge.

You don't need to do that last part. I tried but the fudge was too hot to do so it just dripped everywhere. Plus it wasn't necessary when everything is sugar and peanut butter. @____@ Heh. I also didn't use 12oz of cool whip (just 8 oz will do) and I only used part of the container and the other part for the topping. Cool whip goes a long way....heh. I didn't use all of the fudge either.

This can also get very messy. But it's soooo good! lol

Lady Pyre
Wolffy - Thanks. Guess I should reinstall AIM? I wonder if they have a new version I can stomach yet. You know I'm still running the version from 98? Er... if I remembered to back it up. Too many bells and whistles, not enough functionality!

Eh, I still use the 98 version because it lacks the ads and crap I don't want, and use Pidgin on my laptop. Really though, I don't log into AIM that much.

I'll give you my phone number if you want though, since it's always on it makes it pretty easy to get ahold of me.

It's true. AIM 98 was really good. ):

Also forgot to mention that SFers are organizing to send cigarettes, cigarette butts (if they smoke), or some kind of letter (or image) about cigarettes to the Gaia Heads. Kinda feel like doing that myself.

Worked 9-3 today instead of the usual 9:30-1, since we're giving out holiday food at the food bank this week and so our hours are different. I was told three times today (once by my supervisor, once by a client, and once by another of the girls who works at the front desk) that things have been run much faster and smoother since I switched from the warehouse to the front.

Wolffy - Sure. PM it to me. Dunno if I'll actually call, though. I always feel awkward talking to people on the phone. But at least I know what you sound like from our brief RO stint. The first time I called Sonic, I'd never heard his voice before, and it was kinda weird because he sounded nothing like he did in my head. xd

And yeah... I haven't been on AIM much lately, either. Even before I uninstalled it and... oh. Well crap. Can't get my buddy list off the old computer, either, since I'm no longer autologged. That was brilliant.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I never really call anyone myself unless if I really have to. I always feel like I'm gonna interrupt them or something. And, well, i usually just use my phone for text messages. Makes it so that they can respond when they want to. And vice versa, I suppose.

And good going with that one, is your password to difficult to guess? I'm sure there are ways to recover it, but if you didn't really use it much to begin with it would probably be more effort than it is worth.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 23, 2009 5:54 pm

See... that's the thing. When I made that account, I was pretty young and there were only two passwords I ever used. But neither of them will let me in. So I'm not sure what is going on with it.

And it's not so much that I'm afraid I'll interrupt somebody, although there is that, too. It's more that I really don't like my voice and I tend to suck at verbal communication. Give me a keyboard, and I can write you a thesis. Give me a phone, and my mind just goes blank.

Did you put a number in it? Sometimes accounts will ask you to change the password to one with a number in it. Something like that happened to my bank account. *grumble* They made me put a number in my username, which I never used to log on with since it was just email and password. But when I had to use my username to login I forgot it. So I had to go to the bank and ask for it. :/ Bah, at least I can go there and ask.

I also lost one of my AIM usernames a long time ago too (because I stupidly changed the password to something I've never used before and then forgot to write it down or lost the paper. Something.) And, yeah, the email was inactive.

LOL. You're giving away the lack of security in your passwords, Sevi. I ALWAYS use numbers. Sometimes even symbols. I just can't think of what else it would be. Well... one or two things, but I uninstalled AIM again and I just don't want to mess with it anymore tonight.

Ya know... I think I've had that same AIM s/n for 8 years. When I get around to attempting to pick a new name, I'm going to have a lot of shocked people. Eh... well, if I put "Pyre" somewhere in it, this time, at least people will be able to remember it's me. I went by Lady Lemina aaaaaaaaaaages ago on a MB for the Lunar series of games, so that's where the old s/n came from.

Once upon a time Wilhemina was known as qfpot, the username existed for three days before I used the old admin email to get my name changed for free (I figured if I was going to get a person avatar, I may as well name her/me). I am qfpot almost everywhere else except for my WoW characters (although the WoW account was named that until the recent Battle.net merger), Xbox Live account, and my user on the Smogon University message boards. whee

Bank of America screwed me over on the numbers thing too, but meh.. razz

Lady: I do too but I was more referring to your username. 3nodding I never like to use numbers in my username if I can help it but sometimes banks and other internet accounts make you have a number in your username. Of course I forgot that I just put a "1" by my name so that I wouldn't forget but I did forget anyway. Hehe. I do use numbers and symbols in my passwords all the time as well.

Wil: Aw, sorry. That's sad. ): But at least you have a well paying job, right? Right? Heh. I tried to get a Christmas job but no go~ :/

And I like this "Quick Reply" thing that we have in the forum threads. It's very nice! heart I wish we had it ages ago.

Also Lanzer says that the cigs are coming back and he was surprised by the move too. I guess someone in the GHQ wanted to make their own agenda in a very "pushy" way to say it lightly. razz lol MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Job... no, actually that's why you've seen my face more often around here. ninja

Well paying? I still live with my mother, but the government decided to throw me enough money to support a cruddy 1-bedroom apartment so I at least have money for Christmas. rolleyes

nvm found it myself. I hope the "making sure it never happens again" involves spankings and standing in the corner thinking hard about what they done. razz

t Wil: that sucks. sad Good luck finding a job somewhere. Guy I know got job offers from both Armani and Banana Republic to work part time during the holidays. Especially Banana Republic was desperate. It's shitty work, but if you have a little saleswoman in you it's a great way to get some cash on hand while you start looking for better work.

I mean, assuming that clothing shops around your area are as desperate as they were up in Canada.
