Malik leaned back some.
"If it was worry they were alright she wouldn't be here. foresight lets you in on death and serious maladies I'm sure. but living and healthy 'siblings' may have ways to block her sight, as it were."
leaning back forward.
"what do you want from us?"
Onyx snorted lightly. sometimes he'd swear she suggested seducing a target just to get his shackles up.
"The roof is reachable, but there's no way in the building from it directly. at least not that I found. there's a balcony off his room, but that is secured. wire trips upon prism triggers and whatnot. you could stand on it, but not get in the room without notice by someone or something."

"Certainly, my brothers and sisters and powerful enough to watch out for themselves." As far as she knew. She had met less than half of them.
"What do we Oracles ever want? My mother may have been concerned with the survival of her fellows. I care only for stability." He icy star turned to the little one, gazed moment, then turned away again. "You well know this realm was weak. And has been further weakened by your continued stay, breeding, and travel to and from other realms."
"The actions of my kin may cause this realm to collapse."
"Let's pull the wool over his eyes then. Well get to roof above the bedroom, then we'll just cut a hole right on top of him."
She smacked her fist into her palm. "Clap something over is mouth, search him, get what we need and get out."

"He'll learn quick that he should be listening to you just as he does me. I know he has after all this time. He just likes to make you think that he hasn't and that he's in control. Trust me on this one."

Her eyes turning to where Delta's gaze has gone for if she knew anything...the blind didn't look unprovoked to things unless they had a reason and the girl hadn't made a peep to draw any attention. Point in case being Savryn herself who was staring straight ahead, despite people looking at her, as she had no clue they were. "I think I should be insulted by all of that. That aside...I'm guessing that you're asking us then to help strengthen this place again, whatever the means and such, yes?"

"Then they need to be handled in a harsh and swift fashion. since I don't intend on leaving anytime soon, or telling my extended family they have to stay away. what are they doing that has you so concerned in the first place?"
"Nice plan. one problem. roof is made of metal. one of the reasons there's no access down from it. dunno how thick. what do we have that can cut through metal? other then that, I'm all for it."

"I'm not really good at being the authority. I was always the one that followed the rules." Yes, even after ten years, she still hadn't learned how to take charge. Still, he was pretty adamant about that, wasn't he? Well then, let's test this theory. Slipping off the bed, she dropped to her knees, picked up the bedskirt and peered under the bed. Seeing one eye open to gaze at her in annoyed fashion, she cleared her throat and patted the spot beside her, her voice soft and unsure. "Yinn, come here...please?"

"How wonderfully noble of you both." Said with just a hint of scorn. "Insulted or not, I don't tip toe around the truth."
Aware that she wouldn't get anywhere from this sort of talk, but she had indulged for a moment. She had no one after all, and hard feelings tended to boil without any sort of outlet.
"Harsh no, swift yes. One needs to be careful when releasing the powers of the gods from their vessels."
"As far as I can see, they are building machines. Such this world has never seen before, such that I can't begin to describe."
"Sure we have a few things. I have some acid, but it's slow. We'll need to lay it down soon and then come back and punch through it later tonight. I also have my wind staff, it'll cut through but it will be louder."

"That I know well enough...machines? that doesn't sound like the kind of thing they'd do. I mean they have many of the gifts between parents. as you said, vessels to godly power. what need would they have with machines."
glancing at his wife.
"Do you know anything about what these machines do? or at least the intended function?"
"Well then. I'd go for the silent approach. louder might spook our target and he knows the interior best and may have hidden escape routes. and using acid, we can give it an 'accident' look. so they won't think to check for precious items to be missing at least at first. and especially not on his body."
a small purr.
"So what might you want to do to pass the time?"

"Well, now's a good time to practice those types of things. After all, you'll be home with Yinn a lot and you can't let him corner you all day in the bed. You have your own things to do and get out of bed for. He watched as she tried her hand at it and waited as time passed and no Yinn showed up save for a gloved paw reaching out to swipe at her in gentle manner as if telling her to behave. "You're not supposed to ask him Kaelin. You're supposed to tell him. Yinn. Come here." Which instantly got the draithix out from under the bed, stretching before he flutter hopped up to the bed and then to Malikhai's back and shoulder, resting there.
This woman was purposefully hitting nerves, but she was going to let it go for the sake of perhaps something greater coming out of this that was far more important than their petty picking at each other over things long past. Delta wouldn't come to them unless she honestly wanted them to have a part in this. "Gifts from parents aren't always solid. I know that for a fact, as my telepathy is crippled. Having such powers means nothing unless you learn to properly use them. Or make something to help." She mused over her own ideas that came to mind while Malik was taking charge of information gathering as always seemed his way. he was probably about to go into threat mode.

She jerked her hand back at that swipe and glanced up at Malikhai as if to say 'see?' She'd known Yinn wasn't going to listen to her and then he immediately listened to Malikhai. Of course her new husband's voice was more authoritative than hers but he was a man. And Yinn liked him. She frowned at the animal and then patted to the bed. "Yinn, come on down." Still not as authoritative as Malikhai but a bit more firm.

Yinn watched her pat the bed in inviting manner and merely gave a sneeze and lifted a paw to gnaw at his exposed claws some. Not that he was being uncooperative really, but if she wasn't going to be an alpha then he wasn't going to listen. Malikhai merely shook his head and pet at the creature, getting a purr. "You see, he's smarter than you think. He's watching everything you do and you're still suggesting."

He was mouthing off! Her eyes narrowed and she shook her head, frowning at the draithix purring so contentedly on Malikhai's shoulder. "Yinn, I told you to get down." Reaching up and grasping the creature around his belly before plopping him on the bed. "There." That ought to be forceful enough for both of them.

Which got him scrambling to keep hold of Khai before letting go with his claws at her insistant tugging and as she plopped him he hunkered down and flared his four wings, giving her a hiss. Poor Kaelin just couldn't get it right, it was either too much or not enough. But he supposed this was all a learning process. "That's the tone you should use but now you're forcing him and not respecting him. He'll never respect you if you don't respect him." Turning his attention to the creature then, "Stop that before you get flicked."

She jumped back immediately and glanced at Khai rather bewildered. Now he was upset with her and she didn't know what else to do. Asking him didn't work, moving him only made him more angry at her... She huffed out an impatient breath and shook her head then pointed to her feet. Because she was annoyed, her voice had a ring of authority to it. "Yinn, lay down right here." Pointing to her feet. "I just don't want him to swipe at me..."

"He won't swipe at you if you do it right. Even if he does though he won't hurt you. He knows better than to hurt you because then that gets him hurt." Watching however as she tried again, taking in the tips. Yinn watched her for a moment before slipping off the bed and moving to her side, laying down next to her feet. For a few scant seconds that was before he rolled over with his tongue lolling out and paws playing in the air, more or less demanding a belling rub and not just laying where he was told.

Frustration was an ever present emotion when it came to this animal that Malikhai loved so much. Yinn had never been nice to her, never listened to her, and certainly never wanted her attention when Khai was around. He lived and breathed for her husband and they both knew it. She was pleased when the draithix did as he was told but then glanced at Malikhai bewildered yet again. "I don't know what to do... Is it okay to pet him or should I be annoyed with him for not just laying there like I told him to?" In her mind it was best just to lean down and pat his belly and thank the gods that he was willing to listen as much as he was.
