"No, its not gonna happen. With the nomination, if I had been nominated, I would've had to decline. I'm not worthy to become leader, and I know it." Sport says, then finishes his cake and throws the plate away.

Sora looks at the time. "I gotta go. Happy birthday again." Sora stands up, picks up the cushion and throws it in his tent. He walks off after.

Miko walks into the camp, her hand on her forehead. "Ugh!I'm such an idiot!" She said, then cursed herself. She put a small card infront of Sport's tent, hoping he would see it. It read:

Miko put a small cupcake infront of the tent along with the card, then went to lay down under the satrs. "You're an idiot!xD" tuanted Yuki, repeating it over and over while dancing around her.
"Yep. Atleast I'm not a doofus." She smirked, then floated off into a deep sleep.

MISSION- Seized on Rough Seas Some people have hijacked a boat full of Pokemon! The boat was headed for Slateport City! Your mission is to save those poor Pokemon before the people get to their base! You will have to fight 4 hijackers and the leader. Pokemon: Ekans Cacnea Pinsir Money: 300-1100 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adelle sat quietly in the HQ, stretched out over the couch as she normally was. As her TADS began to vibrate, she moaned, slipping out of her shallow nap to read the message that flashed across the screen.
“Well, looks like one more mission I’m stuck doing for this group…but at least the benefits are worthwhile,” she muttered to herself as she got to her feet, pulling on a pair of thick brown boots. Making sure that she had her pokemon on her belt, she walked out of the building to find her bike already waiting for her.
Mounting it, she began peddling towards the ocean, where she could intersect the run-away pokemon-filled boat. Whoever these kidnappers were, they were in for a rude awakening as soon as she showed up. No one can take pokemon around here and get away with it: at least not on her watch.
Skidding to a halt before she got to the beach, she stashed her bike and made her way slowly to the ocean. Taking a pokeball off her belt, she tossed it into the water, as Squirtle appeared on the surface, seemingly happy to be out of it’s pokeball for a while. She could not help but grin slightly as she watched him dive around in the ocean water a few times while she undressed into her bathing suit, diving into the salty water soon after. If she were correct, the boat would be heading this way before docking in Slateport. All she had to do was get onboard.
Swimming over, Squirtle came up from underneath her, allowing her to hang on his shell so she did not have to bother treading water as much. She was going to need her strength it seemed to be able to take care of business this time. This was the first mission she had been on for the group that appeared to be slightly difficult. How many people she had to face, what kinds of pokemon they used, she had no idea. But whatever they had, she knew that she could handle it with her pokemon. Hijackers never had a good relationship with their pokemon, while she knew that her pokemon would do anything for her, and she would do anything for them. If anything, that was enough to allow her an edge.
“Well Squirtle, looks like we have another job to do, huh? You know that they would be so lost without us.” Squirtle smiled and gave a little turtle laugh as they bobbed up and down in the waves together. Reaching around, she managed to rub his head for a moment, causing a smile to creep across the Turtle pokemon’s face. Before she could say anything else, however, she could see the form of the boat barreling along in the distance. Just as she had predicted. They would be passing right by her…and all she had to do was grab on. How she was going to accomplish that, however, she had no idea. She would either have to come up with a plan, or hope that they were dumb enough to make a mistake that would give her an opportunity to board. Thankfully, it was the latter.
As the boat continued towards them, and Adelle still had not thought of a way to get on board, she almost laughed at what she saw. The idiots had forgotten to pull up the rope ladder that went down the side of the boat. This was going to be a lot easier than she thought. Holding on to Squirtle, who could swim a heck of a lot faster than she could to get her in a position to grab hold of the ladder, the duo positioned themselves so that the boat would pass directly next to them, and she would be ready to grab a hold of the ladder. So as to not leave him behind, Adelle began to tread water so that she could return Squirtle to his pokeball, knowing that she would need him later if she had to fight some hijackers. More than likely, she would be able to find a way to do this without fighting…so she hoped for their sakes.
True to her plan, the boat practically whizzed right by her. At first it looked like she had not managed to get hold of the ladder, however she was thankful that her yell as the boat dragged her along had not traveled over the sound of the roaring engine. Her face was slightly contorted as she used all her strength to fight gravity and the rushing wind to pull herself closer to the boat, and one step closer to saving the pokemon inside. Rung by rung she made her way up to the boat before she spilled over the side of the railing and onto the deck, much to the surprise of a group of men onboard.
Spitting out water, Adelle breathed heavily as she got to her feet, dripping wet. By the time she got her scraggly wet hair out of her eyes, the men were still staring at her, and she finally noticed that their mouths were half open. Rolling her eyes slightly, she stood up straight, managing to catch her breath after a few minutes.
“Ok…Who are you?” One of the men spoke to her, cocking an eyebrow at her drenched frame. She looked like she should be in a mall, not scaling a boat in order to get on board.
“Look, turn this boat around and we can somewhat get along. Just stop the boat.” She chose her words carefully, giving the men her classic innocent smile. To anyone with a conscience, they would have listened to her and done what she asked, however these men seemed to lack any sense of virtue. Instead, one of them made a move to grab her, which she skillfully avoided, only to spin into the hands of another hijacker. Feeling his grab her tightly, she struggled, only to find that the man was three times her size, and there was no way she was going to get away easily.
“Le’s take ‘er tuh thuh Cap’n,” he said with a sneer, dragging her down below the main deck to a spacious cabin. Three sailors followed him, and with the four of them in the room there was hardly enough room to stand in front of a large wooden desk. The rolling chair behind the desk slowly turned around to reveal the leader of the hijackers. He was butch; he was terrifying…he was 5 feet tall.
Adelle had to snort back a laugh as the man walked out from behind the desk, looking her up and down…though mostly up considering his height. She continued to grin at him, not expecting the remarkably low voice that came out of him as he spoke.
“So, you came here to stop us, eh? Well, I’ll make you a deal. If you can defeat my 4 best men, and then myself, I will gladly relinquish the controls to such a fine specimen of the female anatomy. If you should not defeat us, we take your pokemon and throw you overboard.” He grinned at his proposal, obviously thinking that it was the cleverest thing he had ever come up with. Man this guy was an idiot.
“Alright, you’re on,” she said with a mischievous grin. The captain turned, snapping his fingers as a signal for the men to release her, which they did. Slipping onto her knees, she stood and dusted herself off, pulling her wet hair back into a low ponytail before being kindly escorted back up to the deck of the ship, which would serve as their arena. Standing on the far end, she smiled at the first man to walk across from her, the leader of this little outfit sitting in a deck chair off to the side to watch the show.
“You will each have two pokemon. The girl has two per fight. Brady will be the first to go. Once you have defeated my four henchmen, though that is highly unlikely, you shall be given the opportunity to challenge me. Begin!” He thrust his fist into the air to signal the beginning of the first battle, Brady, or whatever his name was, grabbing a pokeball from his belt and throwing it into the ring.
“I’ll go with Tentacool,” he said excitedly as the jellyfish looking pokemon flopped into the ring. Quirking an eyebrow at it slightly, she thought for a few minutes about which pokemon she should choose. Finally, it came to her. Taking a pokeball off of her belt as well, she tossed it into the ring with a grin as Duskull’s form showed itself in front of her.
“Duskull, start things off with a shadow ball attack,” she said, merely grinning at the man before her. He was going to go down easy, she could tell. Duskull’s red eyes glowed as a ball of black shadow began to form in front of him. The eye flashed a bright red as the ball of shadow raced forwards, aimed to connect with the Tentacool at a high speed. However, as the Tentacool tried to dodge to the side, he was not fast enough, and the shadow ball still hit him, though not with as much impact as she would have liked. Preparing for another attack, the Tentacool tried to grab hold of her pokemon with a wrap attack, only to find that he could not grab a hold of the intangible pokemon.
“Wha-,” Brady exclaimed, as Adelle merely continued to grin at him.
“Duskull, finish it off with a Confusion attack!”
“Tentacool, throw a poison sting at it,” the man yelled frantically, as the Tentacool threw three purplish white barbs at Duskull, which once again passed right through the pokemon’s body. There was another red flash as Duskull’s eye brightened, sending out a confusion attack that made the Tentacool flinch back, flopping onto the deck as it fainted. The look on her opponent’s face was priceless, and only caused the grin on her face to grow as he returned the pokemon to its pokeball.
“Alright, I send out Krabby!” The hijacker threw another pokeball out onto the deck, the form of Krabby materializing in front of her. Duskull immediately adopted a look of renewed vigor as the man held out his hand towards the ghost pokemon.
“Krabby, go with a Bubble beam,” he called out urgently, as the crab shot forwards, releasing a concentrated stream of bubbles at Duskull, which connected with her pokemon sending him skidding back a few feet.
“Duskull! Take a rest incase we need to use you later,” she said in as much of a comforting tone as her pumping adrenaline would allow her. Returning the Ghost pokemon to its pokeball, attaching it to her waist once more, she pulled the first pokeball from her waist and threw it onto the area in between them, the form of Seel appearing in front of them. His tongue lapped goofily out of his mouth as he flopped around, Adelle taking a deep breath before giving her first order of this match,
“Seel, hit it with an ice beam,” she said, Seel obliging almost instantaneously as it leapt up into the air, a blue light forming over his mouth. With a cry the pokemon released a beam of ice at the Krabby, who tried without any luck to dodge the attack. The ice that littered the floor of the boat glistened in the sunlight, Krabby trapped within a block of ice.
At this point, the look on Brady’s face was one of absolute peril. Vainly, he started shouting for Krabby to do various attacks, which it tried but was unsuccessful inside the frozen prison cell Seel had created.
Adelle could only grin as the hijacker lackey looked at her with an expression of utter defeat. For now she felt that she had tortured the poor man enough. Not to mention she was starting to get a little hungry and was ready to put this mission behind her. She had better be getting overtime for this or something.
“Alright Seel, let’s end this. Aurora Beam attack.” Back flipping up into the air as soon as she finished speaking, a multi-colored “orb” began to form in front of it’s mouth once more, almost identical to the ice beam attack that had been used earlier. With a cry, louder than the last one, the beam was released, shattering the ice that encased the crab pokemon inside, the Krabby landing with a thud on the deck. Once it tried to stand up, only to slump back onto the wooden ground, fainted.
The head of the operation stood, motioning for Brady to step back, which he did with a sort of grudging look on his face. Another, redheaded man took his place, the same man who had restrained her earlier. He pulled out a pokeball and tossed it onto the deck between them, the form of a Wingull soaring a few feet off the ground appearing in front of them. Seel remained loyally in front of Adelle, glowering at the bird pokemon as if it were emitting some sort of unpleasant smell.
“Crush her Nigel,” said the leader of the group, sitting back in his chair with a sort of satisfied expression on his face. The man called Nigel simply nodded to the leader, giving her the same sort of expression of self-confidence that she had received from the previous battler.
“Wingull, lets get this going with a water gun attack,” the man said with a smug grin on his face, Wingull soaring up into the air a few more feet before unleashing a stream of water at Seel, who flipped sideways out of the way of the attack, which sped past them into open water.
“Seel, counterattack with a body slam attack!” The water pokemon jumped at these words, speeding towards the bird with incredible speed, catching her opponent off guard. Before the Wingull could react, Seel’s mass slammed against it, sending it soaring back over open water. There was a stunned gasp coming from the crowd now as it appeared that Wingull was not able to recover, but inches from the water it gave it’s wings a massive heave and soared back over the boat, though it looked rather tired compared to Adelle’s Seel, which appeared to almost be grinning at his opponent, a gleam of joy in his eye.
“Wingull, use a peck attack,” Nigel yelled out, while Adelle ordered Seel to counter attack with a defense curl. Sure enough, the pecking connected, but seconds after Seel had curled itself up into a ball, the attacks doing next to nothing.
“Seel, let’s finish this with another Aurora beam,” she said, Seel immediately charging the multi-colored blast that had defeated her previous opponent. However, Wingull soared high up into the air; much higher than Seel could attack, and in a glinting of the sun, the bird pokemon smashed into Seel from above, causing the charged attack to dissipate as it slid back across the deck. For the first time since she had been on the boat, a twinge of panic flashed across her face. She knew that she would be able to win the fight, but she was concerned about Seel. The hit was hard, but as quickly as the twinge of fear came into her eyes it was gone as Seel returned to an upright position, flopping back into the battle.
“Wingull, Whirlwind attack!”
“Seel, dodge it and use Water Gun,” Adelle said, Seel throwing itself out of the way of the whirlwind created by the Wingull in the knick of time, twisting around in the air to shoot a stream of water out at the bird pokemon. With a cry, the Wingull collapses onto the deck, shaking its head, it’s feathers soaking wet at this point. Heaving one last time, it slumped back onto the wooden deck, forcing the redheaded Nigel to recall it. Seel turned to her and rolled around on the deck, emitting sounds of utter joy as she was forced to giggle at how cute it looked when it was so excited.
“Come on Seel, you deserve a rest,” she said with enormous amounts of compassion in her voice as she returned the seal pokemon back to his pokemon, returning it to her waist. Seel had been her first pokemon in the battle, and so she only had one more to pull through this round with. Nigel had released a Horsea onto the deck, which she had though was absolutely adorable and had to stop herself from squealing at its little fins. Finally, she grabbed the third pokeball from her belt, releasing Meowth onto the deck. Purring loudly as it looked up at the sunshine, it was about to curl up for a little catnap before she looked around to see Adelle, prepped for battle.
“Meowth, let’s get things started with a Fury Swipes attack,” she said with a small grin as the cat pokemon gave her a broad smile and an understanding nod before jumping into the battle. Horsea was not unprepared for the assault, however, and in the blink of an eye was on the defensive with a water gun attack. Meowth was able to simply jump over the jet of water as it sped towards her, and the first swipe connected with the Horsea, followed by a barrage of four more. At the end of the attack, Meowth was able to flip backwards, leaving a scratched Horsea to regain it’s footing on the deck.
“Horsea, hit that cat with a Hydro Pump,” Nigel ordered, causing Horsea to release a jet of water that made the water gun attack moments before look like a droplet. In haste, Adelle ordered an agility attack, which allowed Meowth to almost miss the attack entirely until the very end, when the stream of water hit the cat pokemon hard enough to knock it back into the railing of the boat. Shaking its head, fur sopping wet, Meowth got to its feet once more, pouncing forwards in a slash attack. One swipe of her claws, and Meowth sent the poor Horsea hurtling back into it’s trainer, both of them toppling to the floor. Adelle was two for two, something that made her grin broaden to an outright smile. She returned Meowth to her pokeball, placing her hand on her waist in a cocky sort of fashion as she looked up at the leader. He looked utterly dumbstruck.
Though Adelle did not know it, he had sent his two best out first in the hopes that they would squash her before he had to deal with her himself. Now it was a matter of time before he would be battling this girl, who had suddenly morphed into some kind of Valkyrie in his eyes—an unstoppable force whose reproductive organs happened to be on the inside of her body. None-the-less, he would beat her. He had to. There was no way he could face the humiliation of having to turn the ship around, losing all the pokemon he had worked so hard to steal.
“Go on Toby, you’re up,” he said glumly, Adelle catching the hint of anger in his voice as he mentioned this new boy’s name. Obviously, the leader’s confidence in this new opponent was drastically less than it had been for Nigel or Brady. Hopefully this would go quickly…Adelle was growing rather tired of this whole thing. She wanted nothing more than to simply walk up to the leader and punch him square in the nose.
Toby shuffled nervously on the opposite side of the ring, pulling out a pokeball from his pocket and tossing it onto the field. A Magikarp appeared in front of them, staring dumbly at her from across the ring. Taking a deep breath, Adelle brought out yet another pokeball, throwing it into the ring to release Squirtle into the bright sunshine. He blinked for a moment before turning to the orange fish with a glowering expression. He looked almost perturbed that he had to be called out to deal with such a pathetic opponent.
“Magikarp, attack,” Toby said, throwing his arm forwards, though his voice stuttered ever so slightly as he spoke. Magikarp leapt into the air…only to flop back pathetically onto the deck of the boat. Squirtle leapt forwards in a tackle attack, which sent the Magikarp flying back into the railing of the boat. Squirtle struck a satisfied pose before following the tackle attack with a Take Down attack, where he drew up into his shell before hurtling towards the orange fish at an alarming speed. Smashing into the Magikarp, the fish gave a cry of pain before flopping over onto its side, lying still on the wooden deck. This fight had hardly been a fight…in fact it was more of a massacre than anything.
Toby returned the fish pokemon to its pokeball and threw another one out into the ring, the form of Shellder appearing before them. At least this one would pose more of a challenge for Squirtle. Shellder’s long red tongue stuck out of it’s mouth at Squirtle, who was already in an attack pose.
“Shellder, use an Ice Beam attack,” Toby stammered, as Shellder leapt forward in an attack. Squirtle was barely able to dodge to the right of the ice beam before shooting back a hydro pump attack, which collided with the Shellder. However, the amazingly thick shell of the Shellder shielded it from the bulk of the water attack, and therefore what would have done a great deal of damage to an ordinary pokemon did relatively little. As her Squirtle jumped back from the attack, the Shellder’s long tongue stuck out of the shell once more before the pokemon leapt forwards in a tackle attack in retaliation to Squirtle’s assault.
“Squirtle, Withdraw,” Adelle said in haste as the turtle pokemon withdrew into it’s shell, which went spinning across the wooden deck of the ship from the impact of Shellder’s attack. Adelle cast a glowering look at her opponent, who looked just as surprised at this turn of events as the rest of the hijacking group. Squirtle emerged from his shell once more, shaking his head in a sort of dizzy fashion before clunking into a sort of sitting position for a moment. Shellder utilized this moment, lead by the incompetent Toby of course, to launch another assault on Squirtle following the successful tackle – a water gun attack. Adelle had caught a break here…the water hit Squirtle, and while it did do a bit of damage, it caused Squirtle to snap out of whatever dizziness it had been suffering from. Immediately, Squirtle retaliated with a Body Slam attack, which knocked Shellder back before it could block the attack, a small crack appearing down the side of it’s shell. As the pokemon flopped over, Squirtle also sat down on the deck, Toby forced to recall the shell pokemon to its pokemon and saunter off of the deck into the crowd that was assembled around the ring.
There was a sense of urgency throughout the group now, as people began to wonder if anyone would be able to take out this chick. The leader of the group, who was still nameless so far as she knew, had a more worried look on his face than ever before, as he motioned for the last drone she would have to fight to step forwards. From what the leader said as he entered the arena, his name was Phillip, and he was a large man who did not seem to have much going on in his abnormally large head.
“Chinchou,” he said simply, releasing his first pokemon onto the deck. This pokemon was both water and electric, making a water pokemon of her own a poor choice. Instead, she returned Squirtle to his pokeball, releasing Meowth out onto the deck. Again, the pokemon stretched in the sunlight, turning to face her opponent. Adelle really wished that she could bring Sandshrew into the battle, but knew that the moment she did it would be a massacre. Meowth could more than handle this job.
“Meowth, use a tackle attack,” she said as she threw her hand forwards, her pokemon instantly obeying Adelle’s command.
“Chinchou, use a thunderbolt attack,” he roared, the two yellow pods on top of his pokemon’s head glowing yellow before discharging a large amount of electricity in a concentrated beam towards Meowth. However, Meowth was thankfully faster than the man was giving her credit for, and in a twisting dive to the right managed to avoid the electric blast and slam all it’s weight into the Chinchou, which slid backwards on the wooden deck.
“Chinchou, Thunderbolt,” Phillip roared again, getting more agitated that his foolproof attack had not hit like it normally did.
“Meowth, screech attack,” she said quickly, just as the Chinchou had finished prepping its attack. Covering her ears, Meowth emitted a high-pitched screech, causing all those standing around to wince and cover their ears. Chinchou lost focus on the attack, and while it discharged the stored electricity, the attack flew nowhere near Meowth.
“Follow it up with Fury Swipes,” Adelle called earnestly, while the Chinchou regained it’s bearings. In the blink of an eye, Meowth was on its prey, swiping three times in succession at the Chinchou with lightning fast reflexes. Upon hitting it the third time, the pokemon flew back, leaving Chinchou to collapse onto the deck, fainting. Phillip withdrew the pokemon, throwing another pokeball into the arena. The form of Staryu appeared in the ring, ready for battle. Meowth remained in the ring for Adelle, who had nothing but faith in her pokemon. She had a plan, and as soon as Staryu used an attack other than water, she knew exactly what she was going to do. It would only be a matter of time before these pokemon were free and she was back in her bed, cozied up to her beloved pokemon.
“Staryu, start things off with a Water Gun attack,” Phillip said, as Staryu leapt into battle. Meowth retaliated with a faint attack. Just as the jet of water was released at Meowth, she faded from view, reappearing above Staryu, where she connected with the other pokemon and sent it flying backwards, while she returned to her position in front of Adelle. She could not be happier with her pokemon’s performance as she called for Meowth to use a slash attack on Staryu, which she did. Running at Staryu, she was inches from slashing it violently with her claws, when a jet of electricity erupted from Staryu, sending Meowth flying backwards. Digging her claws into the wooden deck to keep herself from hitting the edge of the boat, she regained her footing as the Staryu leapt forwards in a tackle attack.
“Meowth, use a mimic attack on that thunderbolt,” Adelle called earnestly, as Meowth closed it’s eyes, its whole body glowing yellow. Just as Staryu was about to connect, a charge of electricity erupted from her body, hitting the Staryu as it flew through the air, sending it hurtling backwards into Phillip. Even though Phillip sent the pokemon back into the ring, it was only a matter of time now before she was facing the last battle she would have to take care of on this Godforsaken boat.
“Meowth, finish it off with a Slash attack,” she said as Meowth ran forwards, swiping her claws through the air at the Staryu, connecting with such a force that the star pokemon was thrown back into Phillip once more, collapsing in his arms. With a satisfied look on her face, she turned to look at the leader of the group, placing her hand in a cocky sort of fashion on her hip as she did so. Finally she was on the last battle…she was two pokemon away from releasing so many that had been stolen.
Meowth scampered off through the crates of pokemon who had been watching the battles with interest through the bars of their cages. Even though it did not look like Adelle had noticed, she allowed it because she knew that her pokemon would go and calm down the already petrified, trapped pokemon.
“Well, looks like it is between you and me,” she said as she looked over at the leader of the hijackers. He stood and walked to the other side of the arena, his bald head glistening in the fading light. Adelle could not help but wander how long she had been on this stupid boat. One thing was for sure…she was ready to get off.
“Well alright then,” the man said with a bored expression. She knew that he thought she was still going to be a pushover. Little did he know, she was ready for anything that he happened to throw at her.
“I choose Tangela,” he said, throwing what looked to be a mass of vines out onto the deck. Adelle had never seen anything like it in her life. She had been expecting him to use a water pokemon like the rest of his sailors…obviously this was a warning about assuming anything.
Taking out her pokedex, she listened to the information that the machine gave on this plant pokemon, forcing her to think for a few minutes. She had no fire pokemon to use against it, and so she took a pokeball from her belt and released Duskull into the arena once more.
“Tangela, use a vine whip attack,” the man shouted as two vines shot out from the mass, aiming to hit Duskull around the middle. Adelle could only grin at the look on the man’s face when they phased right through her ghost pokemon, grabbing nothing but air.
“Duskull, use a shadow ball attack,” she said calmly as a purple and black ball formed in front of Duskull, shooting towards the Tangela.
“Tangela, Sleep Powder,” he said as the shadow ball collided with the ball of vines, knocking it backwards a few inches. The vines around the body of the pokeball shook and a purple looking powder began to float through the arena. However, Duskull remained awake, seemingly unaffected by the status changing move.
“Duskull, use Will-o-Wisp,” she said quickly as Duskull’s red eye began to glow, his body emitting immense heat. Fire leapt from it’s one eye, engulfing the Tangela. Burned by the attack, the man stared at her as he tried to use a vine whip attack once more to grab hold of Duskull. Once more, however, the attack went right through the ghost pokemon, who retaliated by using a faint attack. Phasing out of the air, the Duskull appeared right in front of the burned Tangela, the attack connecting and sending the vine pokemon rolling backwards. Slumping onto the ground, Adelle grinned at the battle that had been an absolute landslide victory for her.
The man across from her, however, looked less than amused and as he returned the Tangela back to it’s pokeball, released an Electrike into the ring.
“Duskull, start things out with a Shadow Ball attack,” she called out, a smug grin on her face. As Duskull began to charge the shadow attack in front of him, the man was quick to retaliate.
“Electrike, use Thunder,” he ordered, and the two attacks collided in the air, causing a large explosion which knocked Duskull back a few inches in the air. Out of the smoke came the Electrike, curling in the air to release a Thunderbolt attack at Duskull, which connected. Duskull let out a cry as the electricity surged through it’s body, slumping down with a tired expression. All of her pokemon had been through so much today…all except one. If this thing was truly an electric type, then she should have no worries.
“Duskull, come back. Sandshrew, time to finish things up,” she said confidently as she returned the tired Duskull to his pokeball and released Sandshrew into the arena. Happy to be out of his pokeball, the Sandshrew was more than willing to duke it out with the Electrike for the girl who had been so kind to him.
“Sandshrew, use earthquake,” Adelle said with a smile on her face as her eyes connected with the man across from her. Sandshrew leapt into the air and came down on the deck of the boat with such force that it caused the entire boat to shake. The ground attack rippled through the floorboards of the deck into Electrike, who was having a hard enough time remaining on his feet before the attack it. Ground hit electric and sent the lightning pokemon skidding backwards into the railing of the boat like so many before him.
“Electrike, Spark attack,” the man called quickly, as electricity surged around the pokemon as it ran in a tackle attack towards Sandshrew.
“Sandshrew, defense curl,” she said quickly as her pokemon rolled up into a ball just before the electric tackle attack hit. Sandshrew merely rolled backwards a few inches before leaping into the air, releasing quicksand at his target in a Sand Tomb attack. The quicksand engulfed Electrike, hardening for a few seconds before breaking, leaving Electrike panting on the deck. So many ground attacks against an electric pokemon was doing more damage than the man could have guessed.
“Alright, alright, you win,” he said as he returned the weak Electrike back to his pokeball. Adelle kept her ground, stepping forwards as Sandshrew leapt up into her arms. Cradling it as a mother cradles her baby, she kept her focus on the man as Meowth emerged once more, several pokemon behind her.
“You know the deal…Take that lifeboat and get going.” Her voice was cold as she spoke, looking at the pokemon that the man had put in cages. She had no sympathy for anyone that would do that to a living creature, and even less for someone who showed no remorse about it. She had earned her right to the boat, and was not going to take any crap from these men.
The leader sighed and motioned for his men to follow his example as he went to the lifeboat and began to lower it into the water. From behind her, she heard a hiss as an Ekans sprang forwards, aiming to put the man into a wrap attack that would surely crush him.
“Meowth, get her,” she motioned towards the Ekans, Meowth tackling it out of the air. This ordeal was enough for the men to abandon ship without the lifeboat, not wanting to be attacked by the pokemon that they had tried to kidnap. Ekans was wrestling with Meowth, who was trying to keep the terrified pokemon from trying to attack Adelle. With all the men off the ship, heading for shore and screaming curses back at her, Adelle approached the pokemon with soothing words.
“It’s alright…don’t be afraid. I’m going to get you home, ok?” The Ekans seemed to understand enough to stop struggling, though Meowth stayed close to her for good measure. Heading up to the boat controls, she put it in full throttle as they whipped around, facing Slateport once more. It would not be long before all the pokemon would be back with their rightful owners or in the wild once more. Whatever they were doing on a boat, she had no idea.
It was dark by the time they reached Slateport, several angry passengers waiting at the dock for their pokemon who should have been back hours ago. As she tied toe boat off, she was almost ambushed by the trainers, pokemon having been let out of their cages running out the gangplank to those that were waiting for them. An officer came up to her with handcuffs, though she was able to hold her hand up.
“Wait! I wasn’t the one that hijacked the boat. There were a group of men and I got the pokemon free. They jumped off the boat when they saw that the pokemon they were trying to steal got out of their cages and jumped overboard up the coast.” Seeming to believe her story, which she was thankful for, he rushed off to get a boat to explore the coast while Adelle made sure that all the pokemon got off the boat alright. However, there was one left.
Adelle approached the Ekans with care this time, as the rest of the trainers were heading home. She kept looking to see if there was a trainer that had not been able to see the Ekans, but she could see no one lagging behind.
As she made her way over to it, the pokemon rounded on her in an aggressive manner, Meowth jumping in front of her and countering what looked to be a tackle aimed at Adelle with a slash attack. The Ekans slid back, shooting forward once more in a bite attack towards Meowth which countered with a bite attack of her own. Sinking her teeth in Ekans, the wild pokemon gave a hiss of rage, twisting around to wrap Meowth in its coils. However, Meowth was too quick, and after leaping free tackled the Ekans again, rolling it backwards.
Quick as a flash, Adelle had a pokeball out and ready as she threw it at the Ekans before it could make another attempt at Meowth. The ball shook once...twice...three times, and finally came to a rest on the ground. Meowth moved forwards, picked it up in her mouth and brought it back to her, after which she replaced it on her hip, one more pokemon now hers. Stretching, she kneeled downt o Meowth and Sandshrew, patting each one on the head before speaking.
“Let’s go home, what’dya say guys?” Returning each of them to their respective pokeballs, she attached them to her waist as well, stepping back to the boat. Reaching around to her bag on her back, she then remembered. She had left her bike stashed at the beach where she had first gotten hold of the boat.
“Looks like I’m walking,” she said with a sigh as she headed off towards the road leading home. This had taken a lot longer than she had thought, but it was worth it in the end. She had one more pokemon than she had when she set out that morning, which meant she was one step closer to her ultimate goal. That, however, was not going to make the walk any less difficult.[ End Mission ]

miko stood up, yawning. "Morning already?" asked Miko, looking up at the sky with the white, fluffy clouds aplenty. Snorting, Miko said, "Wow, that was a long nap..." She finally saw Hunter, then waved. "Hey Hunter!" She yelled, waving her hand side to side in the air.
