She was led to the door which was then opened for her, and after a small hesitation from the dog who did not like the feel of the place, was led right inside.

Delta pulled the hood down, unclasped the cloak and threw it over one arm. She took it off only because it was uncomfortable, not because it was polite when visiting. She wore a dress much like her mother's; a little lower in the neck and less detailed. Black with blood-red trims.

Not the talkative type and in unfamiliar territory, she stood silently, waiting.

"Hmph."

She let him take her hand, even squeezed back a little. His was a voice of reason, something she might have come to ignore left alone with the humans she so despised.

"I have patience. He will go stir crazy soon enough." She shrugged. "But if you're bored, we can go after him tonight."

((Too long Jason, I skip you.))

Not one she would be keen on. But that was his more teenage side talking he supposed. Or so he was going to convince himself. "Not yet. Figure it better to get everything in order first before I tell them. You know them, we could stay here if we wanted they wouldn't care but it'd be nice to have a home away from home too, just for us. Get your own room for painting and not hav to worry about people walking around in it and everything."

"I would think you don't need something like that but I'm not going to ask why or who." Because he really wasn't interested in who Zykariel was sleeping around with, long as he was going about it right and not causing trouble for himself or anyone else. Walking over to the bed, he knelt down and reached under the frame, taking a moment to out a box that was hidden there. Undoing the runic lock he picked out one of the candles and handed it to his son. Zahara liked to hide these things as she didn't want the kids in them.

Turning her attention from Malik she watched the woman in front of them now, glancing to the animal at her side before back to her face. "Delta...never expected to see you again." Piper kept her own distance for her own reasons however...she was careful with herself still, as she had a bad day from time to time. "I guess the question then is what brings you here."

She noticed he evaded her question and frowned inwardly but chose not to pursue that line of thought. Things would just go awkward between them and she really didn't want that. "Your mother would rather we stay here. She doesn't want you moving out but I think we need to." Pausing a moment as her fingers continued to play. "Khai...I know you're mad at me. Will you tell me why?"

"I wouldn't be able to tell you even if you did." He nearly smacked himself for his own stupidity at not even thinking about under the bed and then frowned. She locked them up as well? That would have made things more difficult. "Under the bed, of course!" He took the candle with a grin, holding the heavy pillar of wax in his hand. "And this is guaranteed to work? Even on someone who's terrified as long as natural desire is there, right?"

"Indeed."

Malik was about as fond of Delta as he was her mother. as in, tolerable. she had her uses, after all, same as her mother had. but he didn't forget whom her father was, either.

Setting his daughter on the ground and giving her a gentle nudge toward her mother. Piper prefered to be the one to hold thier daughter when it was the three of them. probably a habit developed from the not to long ago time when she wouldn't let malik have her for fear he'd throw her out a window or something. though they were past the 'kill the one that nearly killed my wife' phase..he still wasn't nearly as warm toward her as he was their sons.

"Bored? with you? hardly. always on the go, always something to do. I just don't want to take risks that aren't needed. and waiting too long is one. but we aren't near that point yet. no need to worry about someone getting suspicious of the new people around yet."

he gave a light grin at her squeeze back, but left it at that.

"Of course with all the free time while we wait, we can indulge in other activites."

yes he prodded her a bit in joking fashion. normally when she was in her anti-human mood. it at least seemed to distract her from pushing that train of though into self-loathing territory.

Meilikki had warmth to her eyes, she'd gaze at you like she could see you. Delta however, stared forward in an unblinking trancy sort of way. The only way you could tell was even paying attention was the slight turn of her head to point an ear at however was talking.

"And I had hoped to be dead thirty years ago. Fate has turned a cruel eye on me and mine." She paused, listening to the sounds in the room. "As it has been to you and yours."

"I am here because of a few people you might remember, relations of mine."

"I could get hired on as staff then. That would be easy enough."

She nearly smiled. "You always want to fill up time with activities, you never want to be patient."

"She and my dad like their boys close. Strong sense of family and what not." Shrugging but then blinking as she questioned her and he took hold of her hands, bringing them around to press a kiss to the backs of them. "I'm not angry with you. There's no reason to be." No, angry wasn't really the word. "Have you seen Yinn? You know he'll pounce you if you let him." Followed with a subject change of course.

"Mhm, tell you kill you deal. Fair enough." Locking the box again and then a scribed rune and it poofed back to it's hiding place for the time being. But he gave his son a look like he was stupid, the boy knew what they were for, what they did, and who used them on who. "Of course they do. Unless they've been sitting to long. I think that one is from a fresher batch your mother made recently though."

She easily headed off at the nudging, knowing what it usually meant. Besides, she could smell her mother close before she had ever spoke. Mama smelled like cinnamon after all. Hand out for a brief moment before she found Piper's hand and took hold of it in both of hers, nuzzling her cheek against her mother's arm. Naturally more affectionate towards her mother as she had learned her father had little tolerance and time for it.

Piper gave a brief glance down to Savryn, giving the girl's hands a squeeze as she clung. Though she did notice whatever was on the girl's hands. What was that? She'd have to pay attention to that later, as Delta was the more pressing matter. Piper couldn't help the slight frown that passed over her face as Delta remarked on how kind the past years had been. She didn't like to think back on that at all. "Relations of yours...I can only imagine whom. Should I assume they're meaning to cause trouble or am I jumping ahead too far?"

Kaelin desperately wanted to say something about his sister but had learned long ago that she was not part of the family in matters like that. Or maybe no one in the family was allowed to point out the neglect that child had received. She studied his eyes for the truth and found a lingering gleam of frustration in them and chewed her lower lip in reflex. "He's under the bed...won't let me move." She'd tried getting up earlier and had gotten her heels nipped. Yinn took it seriously when Malikhai made mention that he wanted her to stay put. "You're bringing him along when we move?"

"Just making sure. I can't guarantee they work and then have them fail." He stored the candle away in his bag and hopped up off his parents' bed, quirking an eyebrow. "Thanks, Dad."

"Sevilin, I can't find my dagger cleaner. Have you seen it anywhere?" Coming fully into the room and dropping her dagger in surprise. "Zykariel? When did you...how did you...where did you come from and how long have you been here?" Then narrowing her eyes at the two of them. Something was going on. "What are you two doing?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 5:27 pm

"Patience for certain activities I have had a great deal, thank you."

a slight chuckle though.

"I don't think you'd do well on staff. too many people crowding around. there has to be. no one carries clothing or laundry out of the building. he never leaves to eat that I've seen. and the place doesn't have that musty old building scent, so it's kept relatively clean. So he's got a full staff in there, not to mention he probably has personal security."

glancing at her.

"since you know even if we'd been fooled, any thief would have come back for the real thing. if he's got the brains to put that kinda show into a forgery, he's got enough to know that much."

Malik placed his hands behind his back idly.

"Relatives, hmm? possessed of your talent, or perhaps more of a bend toward your sire?"

"You remember my father, I take it? He had twenty-four gestating experiments before he died."

A sigh. "I realize I'm blind but I can see when I am standing in a landing. Must we talk in your doorway?"

The dog gave a quick bark.

"I wouldn't have come back a second time. I do things right the first time."

She tipped her mask up. "I'm sure I'd do fine in crowds. I'd just need to change my silks and I'd blend right in."

"Course, I could always just seduce him. Human males are so easily influenced."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 5:58 pm

He could only laugh at that. "He just wants to make sure you get your rest. You know he won't hurt you." Blinking at her question. "Well...yes, I was planning on it. He is my pet after all. No worries, he'll have a space to himself and probably stay outside more often than not to patrol the perimeter and think he's doing a good job playing guard draithix."

"Enjoy." He looked over his shoulder to his wife and gave an innocent shrug. "It's under the sink. "Having a manly conversation."

"Malik stop being right about things." Shaking her head, "Oh no...that means it's going to be a long conversation of severe importance." Piper sighned, the wolves to blood theory running through her head at the notion of it all. "Come along then." Gesturing to the dog rather than Delta herself and leading to the main sitting room, Savryn in tow. "Make yourself comfortable." Tugging at her collar.

"I know but he and I only tolerate each other." She'd already assumed that Malikhai would be bringing Yinn along and had made plans to accommodate the draithix. "I've gotten used to him being around. Just watch what you say around him. He won't let me disobey you."

"Hi, Mom. Needed Dad's help on something." He sauntered over and kissed her cheek then simply disappeared.

"That boy. He might think he's old enough but he's not." Shaking her head and walking over to the sink where she did indeed find the cleaner. "Now are you going to tell me what you two were really doing? You were in the chest." Not an accusation.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:41 pm

Onyx bristled a bit at that suggestion. no, did not like the idea of her seducing someone when he hadn't been able to get to her himself yet.

"I think I prefer your silks. and I'd rather you didn't go the seduction route except as a last resort."

smirking lightly.

"we'll be patient for now. see if he does ever leave and why. or if he sends anyone you to get things like food between now and then, maybe we can sneak in with them."

"I'm not right all the time."

though following his wife and taking a seat by her, loking at her a bit mroe protectively.

"So tell us what's on your mind."

"Long or not, I didn't come all this way to stand in your door."

A little pickier than her mother. The dog led her in, having been trained well to watch for visual cues. Not as convenient as Deidrick, but a good dog nonetheless. Delta sat where the dog led her, back straight and hands folded in her lap.

"As it is, I am unsure how many of my siblings survived Dimitri's downfall. But their lack of any movement at all has me worried." Or maybe not worried? It was hard to tell if she really cared or not.

She put the mask back down. "Either way is fine by me." She pulled the tip of her staff towards her, checking the bells and making sure all of the links were fine. They were the key to any spells she might need to cast. "Can we watch from his own roof? Or has it been 'secured'?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 08, 2009 4:07 pm

"He's just trying to be protective of you. He thinks that if you stay still then you'll be fine so he wants to keep you from going places. If you don't want him to bother you Kaelin, you have to be firm with him and he'll listen."

"He also thinks he's slick but he's not." Shrugging before she was being observant. "He stopped by to ask for a potion something or other. As for the chest, I was just checking it. Why?" Why evasion? Didn't care to have the 'oh gods what is he going to do with that' conversation with her.

Piper had plopped down, pulling Savryn up to sit on the other side of her as Malik sat down next to her as well, looking over at him and sharing that 'something's up look' to his protective one. "You think that perhaps they're up to something because they're too quiet? Or are you merely concenred about them in the more friendly sense?"

She listened, tilting her head and studying him for a moment. "Do you really think so? I guess he just doesn't want to upset you and if I get hurt you'll be upset. Most of the time he just yips and chitters at me then lays his head back down on his paws and goes to sleep. He'll listen to you immediately, though."

"All of them do." Zahara did a quick survey of where her various children were, and assured they were safe and sound, shut and runed the door. "Checking it, hmm? You know if you wanted something, Sevilin, all you had to do was ask." She took the chest from him with a chuckle, opened it and lit one of those candles and let nature take it's course.
