Malik looked at what she held, and ran his hand through his hair lightly.
"Well...I'm not sure I can fix that. but, how about we give it a try. Here, I'll carry you to where we're going."
So he picked her up, bloody dead animal and all, and carried her to the necromancer's study area, and set her down on a table..taking the animal gently from her and setting it near her.
"Alright. lets see if we can bring this back to life. it'll be a test subject for the other conjoining experiment."
before taking a bonechip and handing it to his daughter.
"See if yu can guess what this is, and what dad uses it for."

"I never tell you the truth half the time, you like to exploit it. Besides, you were lying about sleeping around before you were ever doing it too. Yes I know the truth." Putting down one drink and ordering another he shook his head. "Oh the usual. Her upbringing totally stunts her from understanding what should be normal concepts and once she's freaked out, you know there's no point in trying to explain anything to her."
Shrugging his shoulders and setting his drink on the table. "Don't laugh, okay? Anyway, we get to Andal and it's the usual fluff cuddle stuff as always. Which don't get me wrong, I like. Well of course with things expected, she asks what we should do for fun and not even thinking about it, I suggest sex. We should both enjoy that now that we're married and no one can bother us about it anyway right? Right. Wrong. I kid you not, she looks as me like I'm some deviant and proceeds into one of her awkward things. You know where she goes all quiet and what not. It was a disaster. So I dropped the matter, haven't brought it up since. Things have been kind of awkward."
See she knew it! You brought the broken people and animal things downstairs and they got better! It was simple as that...and he didn't seem mad that she had decided upon this so that was a good thing yes? Yes! Holding her poor dead thing she let him carry her with no fuss, keeping herself still and not trying to listen for things going on.
Butt on solid something or other once more she let her hands play with one another so they wouldn't touch any of her father's things. Was never ever supposed to touch any of his things ever again. Granted that meant she was spreading blood between her hands not that she was catching that fact.
Big words went right over her head for a second...admittedly she lacked the foundation that her brothers had from her lack of ability to participate insuch things. She caught on quick though. A blink however as something was handed to her and she let little fingers feel it over while quite the studious look overcame clouded eyes. She knew this feeling! Sometimes she felt it at dinner! The surface was particular feeling as was the edging texture. "It's a bone!" Quite proud or herself, even if no one else was. "To..fix his broken things? Like a bandaid?"

Normally Zykariel would have laughed and ribbed him about such things then confessed that his first lover was Cerrilia and that really hadn't turned out too well as they both knew. The occasion just didn't call for reminisces of that sort, though. Taking a sip of his drink, he listened to his friend's story and then sighed, leaning back against the booth. "Wow." Yeah, that was pretty much his first reaction. "She has absolutely no idea about sex? At all. That seems almost impossible. She went to school with us...what did she think we were talking about all the time?"
Shaking his head and then shooting his friend a sympathetic grimace. "I'm sorry, Khai. I know how excited you were about finally getting to marry her and go on your honeymoon. I guess it wasn't everything you wanted it to be, huh?" Pausing again as he contemplated his drink and then ordered up another round. "Have you thought about trying to explain it to her?"

"Wow indeed." This conversation he was sure would be awkward with anyone else but Zykariel. Though he was pleased that his friend wasn't going to rub it in this time. "Well, she knows she just...doesn't really get it at the same time. I mean think about who she was raised by and that whole fiasco. She's more sheltered than she lets off." Shrugging his shoulders he allowed himself a laugh, "Horses?"
Taking another sip of his drink gray eyes slid across the table to Zykariel and then stared at him. "Think about sex, think about how it's explained, and then think about it being a man and then think about how it looks being a woman. I think she would be particularly horrified more than she was in her lack of understanding. It's more of...well needs more of a womanly explanation I think."
Shrugging once more. "Oh don't get me wrong, we had a good time. Just sort of feels like we're in the same place we always were. Which isn't a bad place, just more juvenile I guess." Quieting before giving a grin. "I managed to teach her how to catch, clean and cook a fish while we were there. That was interesting." Leaning on the table though in the universal come close gesture. "Hey, don't tell my parents or anything though okay? Really is not a problem I want them stepping into."

He couldn't help it, he snickered. In some part, it was true since they'd discussed breeding and stud fees and various other things while in school and even around Kaelin. "And no woman wants to be treated like a horse." Shaking his head at the predicament his friend was in.
"It is juvenile. You two are married and supposed to be mature, consenting adults. You're ready to take the relationship to the next level and she's acting like you two are groping in the bushes and her daddy's going to find out and ground her." Which he'd run into his fair share of those, too. But that didn't solve his problem, either. Fiddling with his glass, he shook his head and leaned with a chuckle before going more solemn. "You really love her and this just kills you, doesn't it?"
His response was automatic. "Wouldn't dream of it, Khai. Did she have something sexy for what was supposed to be your wedding night? I know my sisters threw her a party of some kind...you would think they would have covered such things." Thinking for a moment. "I could try to see if Lyssie would talk to her? I'd suggest Faate but I'm not even sure if she's had sex or not..."

"No. No they don't." And men were stupid to think otherwise. He knew that much...mostly from Zykariel's leading examples of things done wrong and the consequences for them. His friend also pretty much just summed it all up and he gave a nod to it. "Basically." Grinning then across the table before picking up his drink once more. "Am I being obvious again that such things are getting to me?"
And yet another shrug from him, his commonplace action when he was off kilter. "Not that I noticed when we unpacked. Knowing her if your sisters did give her something like that, she hid it under a mattress somewhere as soon as she was alone. Whoa hold on there...no offense but when it come to sex, Lyssie is like you. Would you really want to talk to someone about it all with knowing your ways?"
Crinkling his nose. "I don't even know how you think of your sisters doing that. I can't even imagine my sister ever in that type of situation." Granted his sister was still a child and it was a moot point, but still.

He was quiet for a few minutes and then he nodded. "It's in your eyes. You're frustrated and you have the same look I did when I was young and curious and wild to experience all the joys the plane had to offer, beginning with sex and ale and going on from there."
Taking offense wasn't his style and he couldn't help but laugh at his friend. "You didn't grow up around mostly women, my friend. They love to talk about it and do so with extreme frequency. They compare things, discover new things from each other, and then talk their companions into trying new things as well." He had benefited from such things many times. "I would tell her to go easy and be gentle but she probably wouldn't." Shaking his head. "Someone has to tell her or you're never going to have sex. And that's going to drive you insane."
And since he was a man and he knew the way things worked, he felt the need to ask. "How many times have you grabbed her without thinking and remembered when it was almost too late?"

"Yes, but you're a true deviant and I'm not. You enjoy being one too." Shaking his head as Zykariel explained the advantage that he gained from eavesdropping on converstions probably never intended for him whether he meant to or not. "Find me someone to talk to her who's not going to scar her for life." Sitting back on his side of the booth at his friends question to which he only gave a whistle to. "Too many to count. Which makes it even more awkward. She does those things that you can't help but let your mind get going on and then you know stupid body wants to follow the train of thought and then comes the awkaward."

"You have no idea what a true deviant is. I've met one and it's not always pleasant." He and Malikhai both knew that the women he ran with and allowed to be in his life for snatches of time weren't going to be proper choices for a discussion with an impressionable and sometimes very naive young woman. Sometimes Zykariel felt like Kae was still a little girl. "Yeah, that's what I was afraid of and what sucks the most is it's completely natural. You're supposed to be aroused by your wife."
Trailing off a moment as he thought of something, "You know...I could give you one of my mom's red candles. She swears by them. Kae won't be able to resist, even if her mind tells her no, her body will override. Same problem my dad had and that's as far as I'm taking that train of thought."

"Very astute...but dad uses it for other things too. think a moment...see if you can remember anything you might have seen before your accident that dad used bones for."
before quiet discussion with the necromancers, and giing a nod and handing it over for their needs in the experiement. if it worked, they were going to try to teach his daughter some necromantic tricks, and see if it worked.

He rolled his eyes, “Aren’t you the smart one. Aren’t you also the single one? You eavesdrop too much.” Shaking his head though as he agreed they didn’t need to there regarding Zykariel’s parents indeed. “That doesn’t seem forced to you?”
Astute was a good word, we were on the right track then. Now then, this should be easy as he often did things in plain view. Okay…what did she see that had to do with bones and her father when she was smaller? “To…make…things that didn’t move, move and follow and do things?” Oh this was getting hard.

Travel for Delta took longer than her mother, since she did not have the luxury of a flying dragon. Not even beloved three-headed dog Deidrich was there to guide her, having died during an uprising five years ago. A mob, believing the Oracle was evil and planning to bring down the city, had caught the already old familiar and beat him to death before descending on the manor itself.
Now she was in a carriage driven by lizards, taking the road south of Honoursfeild that would curl around and head north towards towards the Twilight lands. A young dog, boxy like a Great Dane and dark like coal, curled up at her side ready to be her eyes.
She was sure the moment they took the fork in the road and stepped onto Twilight territory, her presence would be known.
Aella stood on a rooftop, looking down over Honoursfeild. Mask over her face, silks now grey and black instead of her once vibrant purples and blues. People had become cautions now of anything that might prove valuable on the surface, leading them to 'thief proof' homes and shops.
It just gave Onyx and herself more to do, and Aella did not mind the challenge. "Why haven't these people moved to their precious surface world yet? They chit and chat about it like it's god's own garden, but never make a move."

"My mother always told me I was." Chuckling at that and leaning back in his chair once more. "Single to you. Available for fun anytime with anyone I choose to me. Semantics, my friend." But it was time to return to seriousness. "Not really. All the candle will do is magnify her reaction to you until she's curious enough to allow it to happen. If there was no attraction there, it wouldn't do anything at all. I wouldn't give you a potion because that really would be forcing her into it. I can understand you wanting her to want it without such things, but fear is a strong deterrent that's difficult to override. And if you do find someone who can explain it to her without stressing her out, you still have no guarantees she'll be willing to go through with it. And then you're in the same place you are now."

"Because there's safety here. while the garden of eden may have been glorious...it still had it's snake. humans have always feared the unknown, and they always look for the worm before trying the apple."
Onyx landed lightly beside her, and kneeled down a bit. folding his wings down some.
"Our target has decided the safest place for our prize is on his person. he has a replica however under lock and guard. highly expensive replica. only way I could tell was the one of the blue stones as a few shades to light."
"He had to show the real one to a potential buyer I set up. I'm not sure of his personal security though. he rotates his home staff every three hours, and hires/fires new ones every other day. beyond that I got no idea."
"Very good. Dad is trying to find a way to fix your eyes. but it might mean you have to learn that sort of magic to use it. Do you think you could do that?"
some clapping got his attention, as they knew not to yell or anything when his daughter was present as not to scare her.
"See if you can make that piece of bone turn into something, I'll be only ten feet away if you need me."
walking over toward on of the necromancers.
"It worked?"
"Yes. the draithix is like a living necromantic battery. it sustains itself by drawing on the inherent life and energy around it. so pests like flies, and mosquitos, that may be draw to the 'dead' flesh are turned into life sources for it."
"what about interaction with others. this won't work if it puts off people or other animals."
"It's flesh is warm, and it's acting like any draithix does. in fact upon revival it jumped on and licked the one closest and then roamed around the table sniffing at everything and tried to jump toward your daughter when it noticed her. we caught it of course but its acting as a normal animal."
"wonderful. now start working on the sight transfers with it, and keep an eye on any aberant behavior. also see if it will eat. we know it works between humanoids. but she'll never be able to sustain that kind of stress for too long. a smaller animal with less pulls on her will be easier. and we need to work on refining it so it isn't so stressful on us, either. we could only keep it solid for a few scant minutes. this is something that needs to last hours at the least, days or weeks if need be."

Presence known indeed as word traveled fast in these lands between curious roaming horses and various patrols alike. And you didn’t really miss something the likes of lizard drawn carriages, as they weren’t as common anymore these days. As was common, or at least common since she was allowed to actually do things once more, Piper was the one to handle things when Malik was downstairs still doing gods only knew what. She was standing thus with a serf who was bringing the long line of message from others. “No idea who it is hm? Well if they’re coming this way they’re stopping here no doubt.”
“Oh please, you’re not one to be arguing semantics. Stop trying to look all sophisticated, we both know you’re not. Suppose it’s worth a shot though.” Giving a sigh and a laugh, “How come you’re the trouble maker but I’m the one who is always getting the short end of the stick on things. “I can try.” She wasn’t ignorant to her own limitations that she had learned already, just unsure of most of them and any new ones that cropped up. Ears twitched and she looked the direction of clapping but otherwise stayed put in behaved fashion. But left with the bone chip in her hands she looked down out of it at not so old habit. Well how was she supposed to do that? Which left her fiddling with the bone that led to an eventual snap noise and gasp from her. She broke it! That was not good…or turning it into anything but two bone chips instead of one.
