Oh, 90s music video countdowns, how I love you so. emotion_bigheart

I second this. Those shows are always fun to watch. Takes me back to better times.

And yet they always manage to play at least one or two songs that I've never heard of. But I'm happy as long as The Spin Doctors get included. *dork*

We did have a nice Valentine's Day. A few treats for the kids... nice dinner at home. No pressure to be ultra romantic. lol Just how we like it.

We went to go see the new Mission Impossible...it was okay...but there was no mystery or mixed conspiracy...you knew who's side everyone was on...the other ones, when you thought you knew who's side someone was on, there was a switch...this one was I guess okay, though. Not as good as the other ones.

I got bored of those films a long time ago. If I saw this one, it would be purely for Simon Pegg.

I'm afraid that for me, Tom Cruise's real life wackyness overshadows my ability to just see the character in the movie. Another actor that I have trouble with is Mel Gibson. It's just too distracting and I can't enjoy the movie.

Yeah...Tom is a whack job....but somehow I'm able to separate who he really is with the characters he plays...like in The Samurai...that was a great role for him...but as a um, "more traditional" character? He's not too bad.

The Finnish press was freaking out about the Mission Impossible movie because the evil henchmen is a Finnish actor. It's the first time a Finnish actor have had a big role (other than playing dead like one did in the CSI episode) in any big Hollywood movies. smile I haven't seen it and the MI1 was good but the rest have been bit "lame".

What I'm really excited about is the Iron Sky movie. The whole idea is just hilarious and of course since it's made by Finnish, it have just the black humor I love in the movies. xp

Huh.. yeah the Iron Sky looks interesting

@Humble - usually I can separate the personality with the character. And for the most part I'm not interested in actor's personal lives so it makes it much easier to separate the reality from the movie... but he just crossed the line for me I guess. I can still chuckle at small over the top roles in things like Tropic Thunder.

I totally agree: with those big A-list faces it's hard to actually see the character and not the celebrity. It can be hard to find a good movie with a relatively unknown cast. Another perk of watching foreign films.

Heh, yeah. It's one of those movies that you just can't take too seriously. Their first movie was similar. Good geeky dark humor but if you think you are going to see a "deep and multileveled characters" then you are just going to get your brain tied to knots. smile What is interesting for me to see is how other countries really "see" the humor. Like our music, we like our humor dark and mischievous. xp Also, I'm glad that the germans really undertook this whole project. It is not the most easiest subjects to them so I think it's good that they finally start to shake off those ghosts from the pasts from their shoulders.
