"He's upstairs playing with Kit." The spitting image of her mother with her hair cropped short and pushed to the side, reddish violet eyes sparkling, she gave a slow smile to Galesen. Perfect. "I can have some food sent up if you like?"
Zahara smiled gently and patted Piper's hand. "I'm afraid so, Piper, but you've had a week off while I was in reverie so I really can't postpone this one." Withdrawing a vial, she handed it over and then took to carefully checking over Piper. She listened to her heartbeat and the baby's, tested the firmness of her stomach and even used her magic to ping the baby and test her responses as well. "Everything looks good, Piper. Have you been having any particular problems?"
He was extremely upset, wasn't he? She couldn't blame him considering how upset he'd been when he was younger and had been deserted. "I see," she said quietly. "I don't like to see you so upset, Mykorian."
Her face darkened slightly in frustration as she tried to find the words to express what she wanted to tell him. "Well, Malikhai D'vinn is the son of the fearless Malik D'vinn and the heir to the throne, if you'll let me say that. But when you're like this, here with me, it's just you...as my Khai." Blinking for a moment and then flushing guiltily. "I mean Khai...not necessarily mine... I didn't mean to say that," she finished lamely.

Another session of sitting through poking and what not and generally being unhappy about it. At least Zahara usually tried to be as sparing as possible with her. "Not really...just the usual. My reverie schedule is starting to slide backwards some but that's no big deal. I take it when I need to take it."
He knew she didn't like it but he couldn't help it. Plopping down on a stool he merely continued to chomp at his apple. "Doesn't matter. What's done is done." Red eyes narrowing as he continued to murder his poor defenseless apple.
He grinned at her, watching as she tried to recover from what she thought was a mistake. "It's alright to say that. If I'm your Khai, I'm your Khai. I like being so." She frustrated him to no end some days but still, she was his girl as far as he was concerned.

"Yes, but you need to be careful with that. Reverie is one of the most important things for you to have in large amounts right now." Zahara did a few more checks and then handed Piper a small red potion in a short glass bottle. "Drink this as well. It will help your reverie."
Faate shook her head and walked over, stopping only when she was directly behind him. "Yes, but the emotions and feelings are still fresh. You have always been strong, Mykorian. I'm not trying to weaken you in any way. Just give you a bit of friendship." Laying her hands upon his shoulders, she gently began to stroke and smooth her fingers over his skin to soothe him.
"It doesn't mean I own you or anything, though, right? I would hate to own you like that. No one deserves that. But I do like knowing that you are mine. It makes my heart happy." Her small hand brushed against his cheek lightly cupping his face. "And am I yours as well?"

"Usually around this place when news of something on fire is heard things get swept up in a rush." But a small "meh" to it all anyway Galesen gave a small nod to Isle's question before suddenly the other daughter of Zahara and Sevilin showed up, and Galesen gave a couple of blinks over how much she looked like her mother, except for her eyes of course. "Yeah...I was gonna say I saw him in the dining hall earlier today so he probably ate. Still, I guess it wouldn't hurt to send him something right?" A look to Isle and he smiled a little bit, he had not been able to spend much time with her for the past five days because of his problem, even now it was a rarity.

"Lyssie? My my look how you've grown girl. You're the spitting image of your mother." Giving her a smile and a nod, well at least she knew where Nilli was specifically. "Sure, it's about time for him to have a snack actually."
"I know, which is why if the urge comes over me, I find a comfy place to rest and just get to it." Taking the little bottle and swirling it's contents some before uncorking it, giving it a sniff and drinking it down. "I'm going to exhaust your pantry by the end of the week."
"I know. I just don't want to go over it all again. I've been fine by myself before and I did it again when he left. Now I'm grown enough to not need anyone like I did before."
"Saying someone is yours doesn't mean you're owning them in a bad way. It can be a good way too. It's all in the treatment over the definition." Looping an arm around her where she sat and giving her a squeeze of a hug. "If you'll let me have you, yes. I would call you mine in a heartbeat." But he also knew she was....fragile. had to step lightly with her.

Okay Malik was heading back up with a tray of cinnamon laden foods, neverminding the children passing in the dining hall. after all Faate and Lyssie's boy toy troubles were theirs as long as nothing of his got involved. Of course once back in the room, nodding to Zahara and his wife and setting the tray down.
"How's she doing? everything going well?"

Lyssie grinned widely, giving a nod. "It's me. I'm told that more and more every day. I have another younger brother you haven't seen yet. He has the look of both my parents." Signaling a servant, she gave the order to have some cookies and milk brought up to the boys. That ought to soothe their appetites and keep them far more satisfied. "Are you staying long, Galesen?"
"Good." Zahara busied herself cleaning the room while Piper lounged on the bed. Laughing softly, she shook her head. "I've had the whole storeroom restocked for such a time as this, Piper. It'll be months before I need to remake the potions. But if your symptoms change, I'll need to know immediately. Well enough under the circumstances," Zahara lied smoothly. She'd not upset Piper with the truth. Malik could be informed later.
Her hands paused for the briefest of seconds before moving once again over his tunic-clad shoulders. "Yes, but that's a solitary life and that's not the sort of elf you are. Besides you'll always have me as your friend."
She rested her head against his shoulder, giving him the smile she'd reserved for a long time. The one where she was holding nothing back. "I think that would please me very much. I give myself to you freely and willingly, Khai. I know you'll never hurt me physically and though you might make me cry, it will never be intentional."

"Indeed she is." Which was a bit scary to Galesen but he managed to push those thoughts aside for a moment and sighed a little. A look to Isle and he smiled. "It's true, Kit is a wonderful kid, and he can be so quiet sometimes, he's not like when you his age Lyssie." A small chuckle to that as he flexed his hands a little. "Well, for as long as I need to be because of my...problem." A pause as he thought things over before he looked to the girl. "How are things at school?"

"Oh look he brought cinnamon. He's trying to make sure I don't kick him out of the room so he doesn't have to sit in the hallway by the door all day and night." Handing Zahara back the little bottle which no doubt would return later filled with more liquid.
Tossing his apple core on the table in front of him he sighed. "I know you'll always be there. It's everyone else I can't count on." Shaking his head. "Really...I don't want to rehash it. I'll just stay away from him while he's here."
"Well, I'm going to try and not do the cry thing either. I don't like to see women cry, it's just wrong." Squeezing her again before nuzzling at her lightly. At least he knew he could flip her mood. "Feel better?"

"Kit's still young but my mother's getting restless. I think she wants another...." Shaking her head. "Nobody in my family is quite like me," she agreed smiling and then shrugged at the question. "Same, although there was a bit of an accident today."
She capped the empty bottle and then gave a chuckle to her two good friends. "You two play nicely now or not at all." She'd vastly prefer the not at all but wasn't about to begrudge Piper what little she could do. "I'll just go see my husband and let you two alone for a while. Take care and call if you need anything." Zahara hurried away before Malik could ask anymore questions and headed to her room and closing the door to maintain privacy. Only then did she let her face crumple as she sank down onto the edge of the bed and began to cry.
"I was going to suggest that very thing but you two seemed convinced there was no problem." She moved from behind him and picked up his apple core, tossing it into the trash. "You could always stay at my house. Then you'd be sure not to run into him."
She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment, ignoring completely that she was in a flimsy nightdress and her body was pressed up against his. She had those same flutters that were always there when Malikhai was in close proximity but something inside her deflated as she waited expectantly. For what, she didn't know but whatever it was, it hadn't come. "Yes, I do. I hope Lyssthyren won't be upset with me."

Galesen raised an eyebrow as Lyssie spoke to him about her own mother. "Really? Another one? Wow, you think after all of you guys she would want to stop, but then again Zahara always loved taking care of you guys when you were young, I won't be that surprised if she has another child." Though just thinking of it was a little off, she already had a big family, why would she want more? "Of course, you're one of a kind Lyssie," Said Galesen, though in the back of his head knowing she looked like Zahara poked at him. But he blinked as she told him there was an accident. "What happened?"

"What's got you all upset?" Sure he had a job to do but this seemed more pressing as he had felt bond tugging more than a few minutes ago and he knew her habits when she got upset. Moving over to the bed he plopped down and pulled her over to him. "You know I can't stand it when you cry. Makes me want to hurt things on your behalf." Pressing a kiss to her hair.
"I suppose I could. Your dad wouldn't mind? You know how he can be. It's like he stalks me around the house, especially when we're around each other."
"She'll be fine. I promised you." Nuzzling at her again lightly. "You should get some more rest. Be lazy, I'm behind on my work and I should really spend a few hours catching up." Not that he really was...but he had a bone to pick and he couldn't stand it any longer. Good idea or not.

Lyssie laughed, "My mother could probably have about five more and still want another. She's insatiable." Shaking her head and then shrugging, "A cauldron overflowed in potions and mixed with some other things. My hair was singed but some of the others are nursing burns and ruined clothing."
Some part of her had known that he was going to come and she turned her face against his chest, trying to get herself back under control. "I'm afraid this time you can't hurt anything. It's I who have to do it." Shaking her head and then sighing. "Piper's dying. It's slow and barely noticeable but that little parasite is stronger than she is and sucking the life right out of her. Sevilin, Malik agreed to three months and the time is up. I have to kill the babe or she's going to kill her."
"He doesn't have to know, but I think in this situation he would understand." She chuckled softly and pushed his hair out of his eyes. "He thinks you're going to try and seduce me. He doesn't believe we're just friends. In reality, it's Lyssie he needs to be watching like a hawk."
"Don't work too hard." His suggestion had merit and she pressed a kiss to his cheek, set her painting aside to dry, and climbed into bed. She'd been up extremely early that morning anyway and needed more reverie.

Galesen chuckled as well and gave a small nod. "That's true, I wonder how many more brothers and sisters you'll find yourself with before she decides to stop." Though Galesen stopped laughing before he looked at Lyssie then frowned. "Well, at least you came away okay. Gods only know what would of happened if you got hurt." He put a hand on her head and smiled. "Still, you came out with a wonderful look, so I guess it wasn't all so bad after all." A small chuckle to that before he sighed and checked the time. "Any of you ladies hungry? I am, so I'm thinking of cooking something."

"Ah school. Memories. No food for me, I'm fine."
"Then give Piper something to end it and let it be done." His blunt nature probably came off as him lacking compassion to the situation but that was how he was; a fact stater. However he knew how it really was and Zahara knew that. Piper and her were close and it often tore at his wife to see the other having a particular bad day, and her getting worse wasn't helping anyone. "Piper never has to know that you do it. Things like that happen to surface elves all the time, first child or not. She gets her life back, no one has to worry anymore, and we all say it was a good try but a no go."
"I couldn't seduce my way out of a barrel. Remember the last time I tried to pick up a girl. It went all horrible and I ended up with ale all over me. A whole keg of it. My hair stunk for days."
While she went back to bed, he got himself dressed...a little more formal and imposing than usual with his sword at his side and dagger in his boot as well. A passing look at her before he headed out of his room and downstairs, outside to the stables and tacked up Jerick. He had a ride to Vesendar to make...someone had to solve problems. Besides, he knew where she kicked around in the city, shouldn't be hard to find her.
