Ares didn't stop her. If it meant she would be returning to Bai Ching, he figured, then it would be for the best. He couldn't help defending himself, however, as he regretfully watched her put on her clothes.
"If I hadn't agreed, my life would have been made Hell." He stared at her, silently willing her to look at him. He knew she would listen, even if she didn't look--that was simply the type of person she was. "Your thoughts would have been monitored, your emotions contorted. Would you have preferred that?" It wasn't supposed to garner a response. He expected her to just leave.

Ever looked over at Ares in fury. Her hair and eyes were red once again. The fire behind her cast her in an ethereal, frightening glow. She actually looked like a true goddess for once.
"They already are, Ares, thanks to your damn pact! She knows exactly when she should interrupt and how to! Thanks to your damn pact, I'm heading back to Bai Ching right now instead of having sex with you! So congratulations! You played right into her hands! I never thought you of all people would be so easily manipulated."

He almost winced at her words, but he didn't. "That was never part of my pact, Evermore. The pact said she wouldn't interfere. That would have been interfering--there is something wrong at Bai Ching. Something beyong the normal levels of wrong."
He stared at her straight, not afraid of her but, rather, what she would do. If she would leave. He was getting a true taste of his own medicine, whether it would last or not, and it was painful.

Ever continued to glare at Ares. "Then what was her giving me a confidence boost earlier? She knew what we were doing and... and... she interfered! And now you owe her, something big! She could make a request that you'd sleep with her and you'd have to do it!"
"And since she's obviously interfering, you got nothing out of the deal, Ares. She got everything she wanted and you got nothing. Way to go..."

Ares rounded on her. She was simply impossible! He'd met rocks with more understanding! Hell, he'd met bulls who were less stubborn! "Just leave, then! Leave and figure all this s**t out on your own! I'm not gonna hold your ******** hand to get you through. If you're so damn smart, you obviously can see the truth without having the information!" His sarcasm was biting.
He recomposed himself, sending her a brief, cool glare. "Good bye..." He waved his hand, sending her back to her dorm. As she disappeared, though, his composition wavered, looking almost regretful.
"...Pepper."
She was gone.

Bo gripped his arm and smiled weakly. He could hear the truth in her voice. A frown crept over his smile and replaced. "Oh, okay. I'll be here tomorrow, so see you then?" He asked with eyes wide and hopeful, the fear dissipating.
"I'll take a regular black coffee if you don't mind. Ty, you want any?" He nodded in agreement, looking over at the young boy sitting there. Sam smiled and looked back at the woman. "Make that two then." She spoke as she read the price list and pulled out the correct form of change. "Luckily we've been in this country so long." She thought to herself as she heard the bell ring and the girl mention curfew. "What? Curfew? Um, excuse me Miss, but do you know any where that me and my brother could stay here for the night? I plan to apply in the morning you see." Sam spoke hastily as she looked at her with strain in her eyes.
Luli on the other hand was paying no mind to anyone, just emptying out the last pot of coffee to hand to them each. Then she took the money and placed it in the pouch. Luli then looked up at the girl and boy with a quizzical face. "Silver hair and blue eyes huh? That's a pretty rare trait I would think. Wait a minute... doesn't Mr. Brandt have silver hair and blue eyes?" These thought would not move from her mind, but she ignored them and spoke nothing of it.
Tyler himself was wondering about the boy sitting in the chair near the stand. "I though boys weren't allowed at this school? Maybe I have a chance just yet!" He said smiling to himself as he turned to Luli. Damn, she was really cute. "Asians, heh, you gotta love 'em." He took his coffee calmly and winked at her, which she returned with a groan and a roll of her eyes. Tyler was unabashed as he looked over at Aurora, waiting for her answer to Sam.

Suddenly, Evermore was back in her dormitory in Bai ching. She didn't even get a chance to respond to Ares' accusations! It was like he hadn't even listened to her! She had pointed out that Aphrodite had obviously been interfering when they first had sex and she gave her a boost of confidence! But Ares obviously didn't care about that. All he cared about was getting her back down here to Bai Ching. Maybe she had been bad. Maybe after the second time, he didn't think she'd be improving at all and he wanted to try and find a nice way to get rid of her.
Sure, he might have had feelings for her, but a couple had to have sexual chemistry, too. After all, she was only 16. How good could she possibly be? And then Aphrodite's second little interference made him think about her and he probably wanted a real woman to be with after he had been with Ever. Who could actually compete with the Goddess of Love, anyway?
Ever heard 'Pepper' whispered in the air, but she knew she was just imagining it, wanting to hear it now as some kind of hope to hold onto. Gods she was pathetic!
Tears started falling down her cheeks. She wiped at them angrily, but when they kept coming she simply walked quickly over to her bed and threw herself down onto it. She buried her head in her pillow and began to sob.

Musica just stood there as he was, no longer conveying any emotion through his eyes. His lips were a straight line across his face and his hair hung down around him as he looked down. "Ari, this was inevitable anyway. Good thing it happened now I think, what with having a way to stop it now. True, he's not gone forever of this world, but he's gone from me forever." His face remained unchanged as he tackled the other subject at hand. "You were touched by Light Magic once, so while it was pouring out of Nikolaus's over filled body it took hold of you. I believe it's there permanently, since your body has plenty of room for it. He's such an idiot, letting his magic loose like that. There's no telling who it all could have touched."

Aurora smiled and nodded at Bo. "Most definitely." Then, hearing the new girl's question, she turned to look at her. The smile disappeared, but not because she was being unfriendly. It was simply because she did not know these new people. "I do not know what the best place would be. If you like, I can take you to the Headmistress now. You probably should have contacted her before you came, you know."
She was not truly scolding them. It was simply common courtesy. Mentally, though, she sighed. She'd been planning on calling home tonight, but it seemed that that plan was doomed.

Arielle had been locked away in her office, sheilds up to filter all but the grandest magics as she fretted over the defenses of her school. She had not noticed, for such a long time, the commotion on the third floor dormitory hallway--but when she had, she was stunned silent. How could she have let such large amounts of magic be undetected and unguarded for so long?
Standing straight up, she rushed from her office, her robes swishing softly as she headed to the dormitories. She could recognize the aura of three students who appeared to be involved--one directly, the other two not so much, and another aura that was very similar in strength to Evermore's, and a last aura that was far too strong to be anyone she recognized--it was stronger, even, than that of Ophiuchus. It reminded her, briefly, of the aura Ares had exuded.
The aura of a god.
The bell tolling the eleventh hour rang as she was approaching the door. She saw Caroline and Akira simply standing there, and this confused her. Frowning, she asked, "Girls, what is going on?"

Luli dragged her brother away, only allowing him to get in a sharp good bye. The stuff had already been put away, all she needed was her brother to follow along. She led him out to their car and drove away, telling him all about what she'd seen.
Sam made a pained face at what Aurora said, she had thought of this herself and of course Tyler was too thick headed too think. "I know, but my decision was sort of last minute. Kinda important too if you must know."

After waving good-bye to Bo, Aurora nodded at Sam. "That is fine. If you will follow me, then, I will lead you to the Headmistress. She will know what is a good place to stay for you." Aurora then began to move towards the stairs. She added, "I hope you do not mind, but I must stop by my dorm before we get to the Headmistress. It is on the way, so it should not add much time at all."
From the shadows, where it is possible that he had lingered after Kilala left, Altan wandered out and returned to Aurora's side. He didn't say anything, and it was obvious from the stiff way he walked. Aurora said nothing to him, simply letting him walk with her. She was still upset with him herself.

Ari nodded. "Can you forgive me, then?" she asked, laying her head against his chest. She was a lot shorter than he was now, but she liked him taller. Over his heartbeat, she could hear a woman's voice outside the door. "Darn," she said tiredly, "It's the Headmistress... I'm so going to get it now!"

Musica was smiling, laughing the at the gesture of asking for his forgiveness. It had already been given of course "How could I not? Your intentions were pure, that's all that matters." Musica was ignoring the accented voice he heard behind the door. His main concern right now was Ari herself. "I-I didn't hurt you did I? I just can't bear the thought of it if I did. But please, be honest." fear could be heard in his voice, something he hadn't felt in forever.

"You didn't hurt me," she said, enunciating carefully, "Nik did... only a little. I gave it back to him ten times worse, though." She grimaced, and tilted her neck to the side. Nikolaus' hand print could be seen where he had slapped her. "... he also tried to feel me up. That didn't work so well for him," she sounded smug as she nodded towards the dent in her wall. Nik had flown there after her second blast. "Jerk left a dent in my wall!" she hissed indignantly.
"... and as for pure intentions?" she laughed and gave him a suggestive wink, "It depends on how you define 'pure', but we can roll with that." She realized with a slight thrill that they could kiss now without fearing anything. Ari then realized she was almost completely nude underneath her robe.
