Galesen lowered his eyes at the boy and crossed his arms. "What, you think because I'm not around here anymore you can give that tone to me? I was going to go to Sevilin next if the serf said Malik was unavailable, one always goes to Malik first since he likes to be kept updated when something happens." Though another look to the boy and Galesen clenched his teeth for a moment. "Think as to why I asked, aside from you Malik really does not worry about what is going on with the surface unless it has to do with trade or something that directly involves him. If there is a pillar of fire that is just up there do you think he will care? There is a chance he would, but on the other hand if it was coming down here that would be a different story." Gods be damned what a kid, some times one should just whack that boy upside the head. So he went with the boy back to Sevilin, and Galesen was surprised a bit when the drow said he would go check. "I wonder what caused it..." A pause and he turned to the boy. "Where did it start?"

"Sometimes it doesn't matter if Malik is avaliable or not. If you see Sevilin, you always go to him first unless it's the two of them together." Givng Galesen a dirty look...he had his own issues with Galesen that came from his younger years. "If it makes you feel like it is anymore important, it has steadily been heading towards the outpost that connects up and down." Crossing his arms. "In the mountains to the east. Just fwoosh, fire pillar."

Galesen gave the boy the same look back, he couldn't bloody believe this last week he was gonna come down here to just goof off and instead he has been scorn by some and gets the lovely option of either killing everyone with ice or having to feel leather for Gods know how long. "Well now that is important because we now know where it is going and now we have to figure out how to stop the damn thing." Though he gave a nod to the last little tid bit that the boy said and sighed. "Alright, what the hell did I do to piss you off?" He had basically pissed off everyone else that was here, but at least he knew why and how he did it, with Mykorian it was a different story.

"Yes I know how he gets. and where else would he get it from. I'm the hermit homebody, remember? your the outdoors moving around one."
A slight grin before looking over at the serf and frowning lightly. before giving his wife a kiss, and walking over and listening to what was going on.
"Tell Sevilin to see what he can do runically to find a reason or source."
Before returning his attention back to his wife.
"still feeling alright? anything I can get for you?"

"Like I care and no, it didn't. But then Sevilin never tells me anything that he learns over here anymore. Says I get too involved." Rolling her eyes at that and nodding. "Yes, I do know you. I'm just glad you made it through the birth and all of that fine. I'm not so sure Piper's going to do the same." Her husband got another dirty look. "Sevilin Inthara, you are not going up to the surface now!"
Kaelin was rather surprised at that answer and didn't quite know how to respond. Her mind couldn't wrap itself around not at least respecting her mother regardless of what had been done to her. Somewhere inside herself she knew it was wrong but another part of her kept telling her that she had just been training and teaching her to do right, that she had known better many of those times could have avoided it. Hopping off the bed, she grabbed the nightdress and headed into the bathroom to change back into it, then came out and resumed her seat upon the stool. "Do you want to see it?"
"Is there a problem here, gentlemen?" Faate asked strolling up and quirking an eyebrow. Their raised voices had roused her from her studies in the library and she was just protective of Mykorian anyway. "Hi Galesen. I didn't know you were back in town."

"I didn't say that it was coming here specifically. I said that is was headed this direction. Coming down here like you have any right to play a big part in what happens. You have another plane to do that in." Sneering at it all, even more so as Galesen decided now was a nice time to chit chat. "You left. That's what you did." And turning his attention over to Sevilin, about to say something when Zahara spoke her own opinion and thus let his attention turn to Faate. "There's no problem."
A blink at Zahara though as apparently she wasn't happy about things still. "Is...now a bad time?"
"Men they're useless. That's why I don't really have one. I have one child to take care of and I certinaly don't need another. Nilli is a handful on his own, always making noise and causing trouble and what not." Giving her a hopeful look though, "Pip will be fine, she always has to do the opposite of what everyone thinks." Isle grinned though as she was chastising the men.
Plopping back down on the edge of his bed he sighed and ran a hand back through his hair. This was stressful if anything when it shouldn't be. At least not this much. Gray eyes slanted back to her as she came back, seemingly as if nothing had happened. It was probably easier that way. "Sure." Thusly getting himself up and wandering around behind her and giving a light chuckle at the portrayal of himself. "Do I really get that look?"
"Not recently." But they honestly knew how their kids likened to them so there was no point to argue the fact. She gave him a nod then, "I'm a bit hungry but that's all. Don't start fretting over me too early now or I'll have to kick you out of the room and not let you back in."

Okay, now the boy struck a nerve. "Even if it is not coming here to the fortress there is the fact it can affect the rest of the Underdark, which everyone here lives in, is a great deal." Galesen's eyes lowered into a glare and he gave a frustrated sigh. "You forget Mykorian, I am in employment to Malik, meaning I'm under his house name, even if you like it or now I can come down here and still have some influence no matter how small it is. Though it seems that you forget that you do the same thing, heading up and down like I do, even if you don't exactly stay in one place for large amounts of time." A blink from the older elf as the boy finally brought up what was bugging him. "Yeah, I left. I had to make a choice Mykorian, but why are you upset at that?" Kids, they always hid things, never wanted to come out and just say why. But lucky for the both of them Faate came up to them. "No there isn't a problem." He then turned to her and relaxed a little. "Hello Faate, I came a few days ago but I have been having some problems so I haven't been able to say hello to everyone, how are your studies coming along?" A blink from Galesen as he heard Zahara shout, now what was that about?

"I'm not fretting, just asking. I'll have the kitchen get something together for you. since Zahara is going to continue with our usual sessions and I know that if you don't eat anything it upsets your stomach."
pressing a kiss to her forehead and patting her belly lightly.
"and I know I don't want to be kicked out of the room."

"I hope you're right. I've been doing everything in my power to keep her alive and I'll sacrifice anything to keep it that way." Her eyes narrowed and she crossed her arms. "You don't like the surface, Sevilin, and you have no reason to go up there when you haven't been told to do anything. Besides there is absolutely no way that you are going alone and I'm not quite ready to come up with you yet."
"Quite well, thank you." Her knowledeable red eyes moved between the men, taking in everything before she cleared her throat. "I don't believe you two need to be in anymore contact with each other. What precisely are you doing down here, Galesen?"
"It's not finished yet," she said quickly just in case he was expecting something different. Her brush filled in a bit more of his chest and arm and she nodded. "Usually when you're looking at me. I don't know if you give it to others or not. Do you...like it?"

Yes yes she did find this amusing but also noticed the tension around them as well. Gods, this place was so full of negativity it was no wonder Piper wasn't at her best. She had to deal with all of this probably and that woman usually was the peace maker.
His attention turned briefly to the serf that came to him, whispering something off quickly before leaving again and he turned his attention fully on his wife. "Malik said use my runes to info gather. That doesn't involve me going to the surface. Does that make you feel better?"
"There's no point in telling you. What's in the past is in the past right? I don't like to rehash the past." No he didn't want to talk about it. If he didn't know already well then all the better. "I'm getting something to eat, you all can talk and worry about fire." Meandering off to the kitchen then. Did not need to put up with this.
"I do hope you think it a good thing when I'm giving you that look." Watching some more before looking to her. "I like it. You do a good job of capturing things." Brushing a hand through his hair, "Though I need to touch up my hair it seems by that account."
"If I don't eat, if I eat...it's really not starting to matter anymore. That's why Zahara has been drugging my food. I know she has. After every mean I have, I suddenly have the urge to reverie. Which means I don't have the urge to be sick." Giving him a light smile. "You'd sit outside the door if I did kick you out."

She frowned, thinking it over for a moment and then nodded. "Slightly. Just...come see me when you're done. I have something I need to talk to you about." But first she needed to go see Piper. Thus, it was up to her room with a knock on the door.
Faate frowned as Mykorian headed off and she lightly patted Galesen's shoulder. "I'll talk to him. Don't worry about it, okay?" The walk to the kitchen seemed to take forever but she leaned in the doorway and watched him. "Want to talk about it?"
"I'd like to think it is. I don't have a whole lot of experience with males though. None of the ones I've known have ever given me a look like that. Not that I've seen anyway." She tilted her head and studied the portrait then turned to look at him as well. "I like your hair reverie-messy, Khai. It's the relaxed you. It doesn't say "I'm Malikhai D'vinn." Reaching over, she mussed it up again and smiled. "Much better."

"Mykorian..." He was just about to go after the kid when he was stopped by Faate. He looked down at the dark skined child and smiled a little, putting a hand on her shoulder as well. "Alright, thank you." She didn't have to do it, but if she wanted to then he wouldn't stop her. When she was gone he turned back to the older elves and looked at them. "Well I hope this fire pillar is not going to be a big deal as it may seem to be. Still, I hope we can deal with it quickly, there is no reason to keep it around."

"Campfire food sounds great, actually." Aella smiled. "I don't really know if I cold eat anything fancy right now anyway. There were a couple of months a few years back where I was stranded in the darkness," referring to those areas of the underdark that weren't populated by cities, towns, camps, or glowing fungus. "I ate glowworms."
She smacked her tongue against the rough of her mouth, reminiscing the foul meals. "They were sticky and awful."

Onyx grinned lightly.
"Campfire style it is then."
So he lead the way, to one of his many dens. He had them all over...much the design of his father's den, but no where near as 'homey' mostly used as waypoints, rest stops where he could recoup or plan ahead out of the general sight of others.
he found nad skewered the massive scorpions in teh area, and set it over a low fire.
"Lobster of the underdark."
Cymarron had his fill of time down in Malik's realm...but he was not entirely out of the loop on Piper's condition. considering how serious it might have been or might become, Malik had swallowed his pride and asked the Vah for his help and assistance. So while Malik let Zahara in with Piper, and took himself to go get Piper something to eat, Cymarron had scaled the wall and was staring through the window at bedridden piper with a strange device hooked up to her.
"Yes, yes I would."
before opening the door to Zahara, and letting her in.
"The bracelets seem to work just fine...I'm going to get her something to eat, if you need me or want me for anything, just let me know I'll be up immediately.

"This is the part where I shake my head and go stand outside and see what I can do." Rolling his eyes, Gods how things tended to go down here.
Isle merely shrugged at Galesen. "I doubt it. Nothing ever goes quickly. Have you seen Nilli today? I don't know if he's eaten or not."
He was rifling through a bowl of apples, apparently looking for one he wanted and not finding any that were suitable. "No, I don't want to talk about it if all he has to do is ask about it. You know why I'm mad at him and I don't want to rehash it. Thank you." Finding what he wanted and biting into the apple, probably to keep from talking.
"We're just going to go with good then." Squinting his eyes briefly as she decided to mess his hair up back to the chaotic state it could work itself up into. "Then who does it say I am? You've got me intrigued now."
As they exchanged places Piper tried not to look too unhappy at the moment. After all, Zahara usually meant more of a cleric these days and whenever she was around, there was sure to be proding and questions and discomfort. "That time of day already?"
