"One of each would be fine, too." Marcus settled into the bed comfortably again. "Of course, that wouldn't be satisfactory for the Duchess. She'd prefer three of each, I expect."

"Three of each?" Terryn raised an eyebrow at the mere suggestion. "Well she better help with half a dozen children. That is, if I even allow my body to go through that sort of punishment. She better hope for three sets of twins or she is fresh out of luck."

"If anything, she'd hope for all six at once," Marcus told her with a yawn. It was getting late. "And naturally she would help. But I don't know that she would be so keen on moving to Greece." He shut his eyes. "What will the earl say?"

Terryn hadn't really thought of that, and this late at night wasn't the time to start. "I am unsure. Odds are he would try to find a home nearby so he can stay by me. Whether or not Serina agrees with this, I can not say." She yawned, snuggling into his arms. "But that can be dealt with later."

"She has no choice," Marcus said firmly. "I am almost sure that your father will not oppose this. Serina cannot herself annul it, and that is all that concerns me."

"Annul?" Terryn was not at all concerned about this. "I would not worry. Your grandmother would strangle anyone who tried to negate your marriage contract, now that you finally have one."

Marcus nodded sleepily. "That is true." And finding no other possible threats to them, he dozed off, holding Terryn tightly.

Terryn followed him to sleep soon after, waking up rather early thanks to a good amount of dreams that kept disrupting her. She spent the early morning hours tossing and turning, trying her best to return to sleep but not succeeding.

"Stop moving," Marcus grumbled, opening one eye. The sun was just beginning to rise, and Terryn had been awake for much too long. "What are you thinking about?"

"Hmm?" Terryn turned to face him, rubbing her eyes. "Nothing...everything. Too much to explain right now." She looked around the room, smiling to herself as she remembered her surroundings. She glanced down at her ring finger and smiled. "So it really did happen, then?"

Marcus smiled and nodded emphatically. "All of it. Even the bit where you were drunk out of your gourd," he grinned.

Terryn smacked him playfully, trying her best not to smile. "That I blame on you, you horrid little man."

"You also proved yourself to be intellectually superior to me," Marcus said, as something as a peace offering. "You outwitted me whilst drunk."

Terryn kissed him this time, feeling rather pleased with herself. "Yes, I suppose I did Goes to show that even when I am completely out of my senses, I am still the genius in this relationship."

Marcus nodded, attempting to suppress a smirk. "Naturally. And you harbor great talents, too. Talking to barnyard animals, for instance. I could never dream of such a thing."
