Thanks everyone for your thougts. I was at the vet today again and got bit more broad screening for her blood test. Good thing is that it seems to be nothing major. Now I have to find her some stomach friendly food and put in some vitamin and bacteria supplements to make sure her stomach stays healthy. This is a huge relief because if it's just the food, that I can easily manage.

emotion_bigheart Oh, me too. My cats are so small that they can dehydrate really quickly if they can't keep anything in. They are so precious little things to me that it's never wrecking to be at work knowing that the another one is sick at home.

It finally started snowing today! We don't get a lot of snow here, and what we do get doesn't usually last for very long. It might be snowing now, but there's no lights outside my window so I'll just check in the morning. It's possible we might get a fair bit overnight!

I love snow. Most people around here loathe it because we have it all the time this time of year but I think it brings beauty to the outdoors. That and I love the cold. Summer is far too humid and uncomfortable for my tastes. I love wrapping myself up in a blanket when it is nice and cold.

It didn't snow much last night, but we still have some from yesterday and we're supposed to get a whole bunch today or tomorrow.

People here don't like snow too much because since we don't get much nobody knows how to drive in it or deal with it at all. Seriously if we get more than about10 cm towns shut down. rofl

We have the same problem. It snows so rarely here that we just don't have the infrastructure in place to deal with it. Only a few major roads even get plowed (neighborhoods not at all). My daughter's school is up on a hill so even if it's not that bad they don't allow the buses to run even though the school is on a normal schedule. So what you end up with is a traffic jam of all the parents who don't know how to drive in snow all trying to drop their kids off on icy roads.

Today is one of those days. We had just enough snow for the school to cancel buses but not school. After experiencing the last crazy parent drop off due to bad weather, I decided just to screw it and keep my daughter home today. She can miss one day of 2nd grade - it's not worth the risk. The sad thing is I don't think the buses would really have had much trouble.

My son got to middle school on his bus just fine this morning.

Well you're not too far from me so it makes sense. My sister made it to school just fine; my mom drives her but I think the buses were running just fine. We're supposed to get snow tonight so hopefully tomorrow can be a snow day. We have a big hilly yard that's good for sledding.

We've also had a good amount of snow lately, but in our standard the snow came in late this year. We have now about 20 to 25cm (8 to 10 inches) and looks like we'll get more everyday. I'm glad because I like snow and winter. I'm like Brasa, though I like to go outdoors when it's cold and crispy. And now, when the days are getting longer it's great that you get bit more sun.

Cancelling school because of snow sounds so odd to me, but of course we have snow (normally) for about 4 to 6 months every year so the whole infrastructure to deal with the snow is at different level. smile I and my fiance usually don't even bother to clear up the yard if haven't snowed in more than 5cm (2 inches) of snow. xp I once had an interesting talk with an American exchange student about winter diesel, studded winter tires and heating posts. You some times forget that things that you take for granted might be completely new to some one from other side of the planet.

We got ourselves a snow day!! My parents are a little annoyed at me because I told my sister last night I'd heard if you put a spoon under your pillow before you go to sleep it will be a snow day the next day. So she did, and it is! But they'd never heard that before and think I'm just messing with everyone AND of course now the snow day is my fault. xp

That's great news! I hope you can keep up her health...and great that it's just the food she's eating. My dad feeds his dog human food...and I'm always concerned for the pup.

It's part of the SOPA protest that is going on today. Sites like Google and Wikipedia are also participating on the protest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

Edit: Oh and yeah, I'm glad she's getting bit better but she had puked today again. Still, she seems to be going in the right direction so I hope we'll get over this puke cleaning soon.

So it's not the gov't's bullshit? It's a protest? How does it go about being a protest when Gaia has censored itself? Seems more like compliance then protest to me.

Just be patient and know that your little darling is getting better.
