gaia_nitemareleft @Sammirah: Aww, that's a shame. Let's keep our fingers crossed that you'll get the papers done in Thailand then. 3nodding @Exxos: Have you tried vitamin D? I won't help your current cold but could maybe help preventing getting any new ones before the trip. I've taken extra vitamin D this winter and even though there have been more stress in my life recently, I haven't got any really bad colds. Also I haven't felt so sleepy this winter because the extra D I take compensate the ones that I'm not getting from the sun due to the shorter days. I got an early start on the weekend. Tomorrow is a paid holiday in here because it's... Epiphany day according to the translator. *scratches her head* Never heard of that word. Anyhow, this week was a crazy week in the work so it's nice that it's shorter than normal weeks. Since tomorrow is a holiday, nothing won't be open so I'm planning on just staying home and maybe sleep long and then play some Skyrim. :XP: gaia_angelright

I'm in the full throws of Skyrim addiction right now myself. It still doesn't mean I have the time to play it all that much (unless I decide I don't need sleep). But when I'm not playing, I'm still thinking about it. lol
@Exxos - I wish I could give that sickness a swift kick to where it hurts so it goes away and leaves you alone! When are you leaving for Florida?
@Sammirah - too bad about not being able to get the paperwork sorted out before you had to leave. Hopefully Thailand will work out really well. smile

Teeshann exxos-- so sorry you are sick. hopefully you can get feeling better in time for your trip. I leave on the 8th (Sunday morning), so including flight time, I basically have 3 days to get to a level of health I have never actually had... I am screwed. gonk Sammirah Aw, chunky throats are lame. Have you ever made yourself a little steamer? Fill a big mixing bowl with boiling water (and some lemon juice or fresh ginger!) and hold your face over it under a towel? Might help. When I had a cough last week and I was still in Thimphu, we found a local steamroom/sauna and I hung out in there for a couple hours. It was super nice. Just my humidifier and it is on its last legs. I am relying on the supplements my mother has deemed below her usage. I am about 5x the maximum safe dose for someone with my condition for vitamin c and zinc. I also have a powerful antibiotic. They are all probably making me sicker than the disease. Camwen @Exxos - I wish I could give that sickness a swift kick to where it hurts so it goes away and leaves you alone! When are you leaving for Florida? I wish I had a good immune system. I leave at 3:20AM this Sunday morning to get to the airport on time.

Hey everyone! First time posting here. Happy New Year btw.
Anyways, I am pretty exhausted. I recently start school at the technology center and waiting two more weeks for college to start. So much books to read. I've been running around town doing errands and still have bills to pay. In other words, being an adult isn't easy...
How is everyone doing?

Camwen @Sammirah - too bad about not being able to get the paperwork sorted out before you had to leave. Hopefully Thailand will work out really well. smile Yeah... I'm actually thinking it could be really fun! We'll do a ceremony with our family once he's actually here, of course. The only tough part now is missing each other like crazy... I'm going to just crochet and knit him a lot of things in the meantime.

They are all probably making me sicker than the disease. gaia_nitemareleft Yeah, massive amounts of antibiotics can wreck your immune system so it can create a nasty circle of illnesses. In other hand you'll need them but they'll also make you vulnerable to the next disease. My sister was in a bad antibiotics circle some years ago but eventually managed to get rid of them. She had bad colds and sinusitis in a row for almost year and a half. See if you can add the vitamin D into your supplements. I've stopped taking any other vitamin supplements because I figured out that it's the vitamin D that I'm actually lacking due to the short days in the winters. @Guitarfroggie: Hi and welcome! I have a day off today and I'm planning on playing some Skyrim. It's nice weather out side though, so I might pop out for a short walk before I submerge my self in the dragon hunting. whee gaia_angelright

I hope that after I am back here, all is said and done, that I can just crash, have a complete health breakdown, medicate it to death while it is laid open, and finally be off so much anti-biotic while staying at home as much as possible for a few months to let my immune system get back up to speed.
