Now that everyone had cooled their jets about the Bukijutsu scrolls, Hiroki was back to finish training.
From one sword to two. Good, all Hiroki needed was another sword to carry around. That said, just glancing at the scroll, it seemed like a good bet. The Uchiha might not have looked intimidating wearing his weapons, but maybe it'd deter some assholes from messing with him if they assumed he had some semblance of skill. [ Two Swords Drawing Art: First Blood, Primary Stance ]
Boilerplate stances to start things off. Hiroki never understood why the things actually merited so much attention. As far as he was concerned they could be explained in a short paragraph, he hardly needed a detailed explanation of how to stand. In his training, though, he at least got to pair it with a technique of some sort, so he probably wouldn't look like a dipshit. [ Secondary Stance, Body of the Short Armed Monkey ]
There really wasn't much to this stuff, if he was being perfectly honest. The scrolls seemed lighter than he remembered, like someone had come through and cut a bunch of stuff out before smushing them back down again. It not that the stuff there wasn't useful, but more that there was little in the way of variety across the styles of combat. [ Hidden Thrust Blade Storm, Vortex Counter ]
The last technique on his list for the time being was at least visually impressive. Though its training consisted of him basically flailing around for an extended period of time. Eventually it became less clumsy, but it wasn't without considerable effort. Maybe someone would see that and go a bit easier on him in the future. [ Heavy Gale ]
Sheva walked through the doors of the of the dojo, she loved this place and able to train. She felt renewed and was looking to learn more then before; she remembered the time that she had been there before. It seemed like another life but she was ready now. She walked to the dojo and walked over to the rack, she left different in the way that she wanted to train. She pulled a small wooden Gunbai from the rack; she loved it. It was something far different then she was used to but now was the time. Though the Gunbai was bigger then she thought, she absolutely loved it.

Hiroki had to admit, he was finally interested in doing something in this village. Though, it probably wasn't for the right reason. He wondered why the kage went along with it to begin with. Most people would have told the both of them to ******** off, or at least put someone that caused as many problems as Hiroki in the care of a bit more forceful.
SHIONxxxxxMORI [enter] Fully rested after a long day of training, Shion was ready to take on a much more challenging task -- not killing this kid. It didn't take long for her to make it to the dojo and find her new student, but every second was spent thinking of how best to go about this. Many ideas crossed her mind. She could train him how she was trained, beaten to a near pulp and shouted at, but the kid didn't seem like the type to respond well to that much demotivation. She could always try it like the pros do and slowly foster his abilities and give gentle and supportive praise along the way, but she wasn't sure she had the patience for that. Maybe she should just wing it; its worked out for her so far... "Alright, kid. I guess we should get official introductions and such out of the way or whatever." she'd finally speak up once she was within earshot of Hiroki. "I'm Shion Mori, a chu- well, Jounin of the village. I do a lot of work outside the village and what not. I dont really know how to explain it, but yeah. So what's your story? Got any dreams or anything? Surely you didn't just become a ninja because your mom said to." Even though that was his given reason back at the office, he could have always just said no, gotten a real job, and moved out like a normal person. Surely he had some motivation deep down.
"You mean besides the desire to not have my head lopped off for going rogue? Nah." He was honestly a bit surprised at the incredulity in regards to his motivation. "Do I really need motivation to be something? Bit too limiting for my taste. Might decide I want to be a kage and, I don't know, avoid doing something more fun or whatever." Hiroki was frankly a bit annoyed that they were having a pretty textbook academy conversation here. If he had a hundred ryo for every time he got sat down and asked the same thing back in school, he'd be able to eat for a week... well, at least if he stuck to the junk he normally went for. They'd pestered him constantly to decide what he wanted to do and all he'd ever told them was "take a nap". The genin fell awkwardly silent, and settled on fidgeting with his pair of katana, neither of which seemed to sit right no matter how much he adjusted them. Partway through his distracted activity he seemed to remember something. "Oh, right. I'm Hiroki. Everyone at the academy called me Hiro the Zero. Never really bothered me." Hiroki appeared to give up fiddling with the swords for the time being, leaving them to hang off his waist at a weird angle. How anyone managed to make that s**t look cool was beyond him.
SHIONxxxxxMORI "So that's you're plan? You're just gonna go with the flow and let the world decide for you?" she'd remark, cocking her brow and giving the boy a look at that just screamed 'you cant be serious, kid.' "That's dumb. Sure, it's nice to just go with the flow sometimes, but you're going to be stuck with people like me, doing things you dont wanna do, and with nicknames like 'zero' if you dont fight back every now and then. So, I'd suggest you start thinking of... oh?" she'd trail off from her less-than-inspirational lecture as she caught the boy's hands fidgeting with the hilts of his blade. It was more than evident he was NOT looking for a fight, but that wouldn't stop Shion from stirring the pot; nothing could. "You looking to scrap, kid? I can walk and talk..." She'd quip, hands wrapping into fists and being raised as she took a readied position. "C'mon." she said, motioning her head towards the boy's swords.
Hiroki's brow furrowed. He had to admit, at least this line of reasoning was different. "Doesn't the 'world', whatever that is, decide anyways? I'm not good at some s**t. Wasn't my choice." The woman would find this particular thread a bit of a slog if she chose to continue. If Hiroki was anything of substance, he was stubborn. Trying to convince the Uchiha that he needed to do something was destined to be sisyphean undertaking. He watched Shion misinterpret his fiddling in real time, and it was like the feeling you got standing on the edge of a cliff and staring straight down off it. "Err... no? They just don't... fit right? I guess. I'll fight if you wanna fight, but I wasn't looking for one." Shion would almost certainly kick his a**, but like most things people found negative, Hiroki didn't regard that as a particularly daunting proposition.
SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion relaxed her stance, seemingly losing the will to keep fighting. "C'mon kid..." she'd mumble to herself. "With that attitude, the world will do whatever it wants with you; that's why you gotta kick its a** and put it in its place." Taking a moment of pause, she'd approach Hiroki, clasping a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Look, I get it..." Her tone was unusually not-Shion, comforting and warm. "but... just give it some thought." With that, her attitude would take a complete 180 back to her usual, abrasive self as she steadily lifted the hand on Hiroki's shoulder and brought it back down with a loud clap. "Well, looks like we're not getting done what I'd hoped we'd do here, so no point in staying. I've got a cop to go bother and maybe go do a few jobs or something. You're more than welcome to come along with." With that, she'd spin away from the boy and walk off towards the police office. Looking back, she'd shout to Hiroki, "Oh, and you never did tell me how you feel about cats."
The Uchiha noticeably grimaced at the clap on the shoulder. The thought crossed his mind that perhaps this particular interaction would have been far more productive if Shion had simply communicated what her intent was. He didn't have time though, because she was off somewhere again. in an instant, asking about the cat thing again. "I have an allergy." He called out as he kicked up into a jog to catch up, only to curse loudly a moment later as one of the katana smacked him in the kneecap.
The young Hatake arrived at the dojo. His determination to master the physical was strong as he removed his work uniform and folded it, setting it to the corner of the facility. He would move to a rack of wooden weapons, taking his time to learn their many uses. Kojiro was a firm beliver in the right weapon for the right situation. Kojiro began training his bukijutsu, practicing the Shigure Souen, Kazekiri, and Tetsunami style's final techniques so he could claim mastery over his katana. [ Stage 6 of the above styles learned ]
Continuing, Kojiro would begin practicing with a new weapon. Kojiro would return to the weapon rack, replacing the wooden sword and taking the wooden tonfa. Tonfa were an incredibly useful tool for the police force and not uncommon to be seen used in apprehensions in order to subdue suspects without the use of deadly force. Not that that force wouldn't be applied in the right situation, the tonfa proved to be deadly enough to cause such damage. Kojiro would begin practicing the Omoi Inshou style of tonfa and stick fighting, learning it's techniques with ease. [ Omoi Inshou Stages 1-3 learned.] Kojiro would continue, feeling confident in his progress. The tonfa's blunt force damage was phenominal. In addition, it was simple to defend with such weapons. Kojiro would continue his training with the tonfa. With several hours, sweat, and effort, Kojiro would complete his tonfa training. Kojiro had mastered the art with time to spare. [ Omoi Inshou Stages 4-6 learned ] Next, Kojiro would learn a classical weapon. It was again, easily used with his police work. The staff. Kojiro would move to the rack, removing the wooden staff from it's place while returning his last weapon. He moved to the center of the dojo and began practicing the forms in the avaliable scrolls. After some time, Kojiro would have learned a fair bit of the art. He would pause to reflect, taking a drink of water. [ Teikiatsu Stage 1-3 learned ] After drinking his water, Kojiro would continue. He picked his weapon up once more. Now, he would practice more complex techniques. These techniques ranged in power but were all able to deliver less than lethal force with the right application. Kojiro would continue this training for some time. It would take many hours, but he would soon master the staff as well. [ Teikiatsu Stage 4-6 learned ] Taking pause, Kojiro would rest. In between his training sessions, he would return his staff to the rack. From a specialized weapons rack, he would next remove a wooden bladed Kusarigama. The Kusarigama was a less than traditional option. Kojiro wound use in it though. This was mainly due to it's chain length's ability to bind and restrain opponents. This would be good for his detainment of criminals. Kojiro would return to the floor. He would practice basic forms, stances, offenses and defenses. With some time, he would have gained an adept understanding of the weapon and style of Shinto Muso Ryu. [ Shinto Muso Ryu Stage 1-3 learned ] Continuing the Shinto Muso Ryu style, Kojiro spun his weapon's chain. The forms were difficult for him, having never worked with chain weapons before. Still, the practical applications were unparalleled. He would practice more advanced forms. His attacks, and parrying technique would be fluid. The actions would allow him to attack from almost any angle. This would be extremely useful for people using weapons, allowing disarming techniques. After several hours, Kojiro completed this style's training. [ Shinto Muso Ryu Stage 4-6 learned] Luckily, Kojiro was wearing his next weapon. Armor. While Kojiro only wore medium tiered armor, it would suffice for the art. The Soko Sento style would make use of his armor's edges, angles and defensive properties in order to exploit enemies. The style would take less time to learn than most, as it was very simple. Within an hour, Kojiro's genius bukijutsu understanding would allow him to master it's arts. [ Soko Sentou Stage 1-6 learned ] The next weapon Kojiro would choose would not be one of wood, rather, leather. Moving to another rack, he chose the whip. The leather was coarse to the touch, allowing Kojiro to imagine the pain with it. Again, a non traditional officer weapon, but it would allow detainment and capture. Kojiro would begin his training, using the whip's flexibility to his advantage. The weapon was also versatile, allowing it to be used in conjunction with one handed techniques. Kojiro would spend some time on this before moving to the next weapon. [ Jaryu Stage 1-6 learned ] Returning to the concept of armored combat, Kojiro would choose to use the avaliable bamboo arm guards to practice the Kote Art. The Kote Art exclusively relied on the user's arms while wearing gauntlets. It's unification of smashing attacks with techniques that lifted targets from the ground made it a powerful option, giving the user versatility. Within several hourse, Kojiro had learned this in addition to his other styles. Kojiro felt very accomplished for this. [ Kote Art Stage 1-6 learned ] Continuing, Kojiro would return his whip to the stand. Next, he would choose a rather sizable great sword. The wooden greatsword held a heavy weight. Adjusting to the weight of the weapon would prove a challange. In truth, there was no practical application for the style within the police force beside intimidation. Kojiro found the weapon too unwieldly to use in interactions with criminals. Still, he practiced diligently. This weapon would take the longest of his learned arts, taking time from the next day to master. [ Edge Punisher Stage 1-6 learned ] Moving to his next art, Kojiro returned the great sword to the stand. This next art would require him to not pick up weapons, rather, ninja tools. The Juurai style revolved around stealth and the use of smoke bombs. Kojiro found this useful for raids like the one he and Kenshin had just been on. Using smoke bombs would reduce on his need for the hidden mist technique, saving him chakra. He would vigilantly study the art, practicing it's techniques until they were his own. Within a few hours he had mastered the smoke style. [ Juurai Toorima Stage 1-6 learned ] Kojiro could think of few arts he still thought necessary to learn. He would scour the scrolls, reading up on several arts. After some time, he decided upon the Kyouka Ya style. The style revolved around the use of a bow and it's seemingly endless uses. Again, not an organic weapon to the APD but he could make it work. Practicing his drawing, aim and follow through, Kojiro would stay focused on the art. Several hours passed and Kojiro was feeling confident. Kojiro, having exhausted other options, felt assured that his bukijutsu training was complete, for now. [ Kyouka Ya Stage 1-6 learned ] Returning all weapons to the rack, Kojiro now focused on his much smaller aresenal of Taijutsu. He would change, placing a judogi on. This was a thick gi that was used exclusively for grappling training. He would practice the entire stage two of the style with the addition of the Kiai! technique of stage three. These collective arts made him more dangerous to engage in close quarters. He learned a new grip, a reaping attack and how to fall to disperse damage. [ Gentle Art Stage 2+ Kiai! learned ] Continuing from stage 3, Kojiro would sweat profusely. His training was conducted with a rather sizeable man who was weighty enough to give Kojiro a run for his money on combat strength. Kojiro would learn the cross choke. Then the standing arm lock. Following that, in stage 4, he would learn the cross lock, inner thigh reap and single shoulder drop throw. These techniques were classified as kansetsu waza and nagewaza. [ Learned Stage 3+4 ] Kojiro moved to the fifth stage of training. He would have several techniques to learn. The techniques would make him strong like ox. Or at least strong like....strong man. He first learned the circle carry, commonly called fireman carry. Next, he learned the Rear Throw. Finally, he learned the double sleeve grip which allowed him to gain more control of his opponent's actions. [ Learned Stage 5 ] Finally, concluding the gentle art technique curriculum, Kojiro would begin stage 6. The final stage of training was more....training than technique. He competed in several matches of randori, or live practice. He would take throws as well as deliver them, learning to move with his opponents and how to use their weight better. He learned the principles of the gentle art as well as counter techniques that would have a great use. His day seemed to be impossibly long at this point, but it was done. The gentle art, mastered. [ Learned stage 6 ] Kojiro was in the endgame now. He only had the Kaiser Fist style to finish now. He sweat and strained, learning how to use it's techniques. He practiced. He practiced so hard. He learned stage two and three of the style with great effort. The Kaiser armor was a useful invigioration technique that would be built upon later. He knew he would be able to use his lightning armor with it. Hacker. [ Stage 2-3 learned ] Kojiro continued. He was tired. He would perservere though, giving his best to impress his teacher. With his effort he would learn the lariat technique and the Invigorating training for the armor. He felt accomplished. Moving on, he learned the techniques on stage five. His techniques of this stage were The Liger Bomb, Bolstering Training and the Kaiser Fist technique. Kojiro had learned the next two stages. [ Stage 4-5 learned ] Wrapping up his physical training at least, Kojiro would complete stage 6. This stage was simple. It consisted of the final training of the style, turning the armor into a deadly tool if used right. In addition, the user learned to create a powerful and destructive physical strike that devastated foes. His training complete, Kojiro laid in the floor, exhausted. He had never done so much training in one day. He sighed, knowing that he still had to stop by the academy...later....he needed a nap now though. [ Stage 6 Learned ]
The small girl had been in the Scroll Room since the whole city was hefted into the air. She'd been studying and studying and studying for, what felt like, an eternity. Mayhaps she fell into some sort of timeloop, but she came out knowing way more than she did, and with a lot of new tricks up her sleeve! When I say she came out, I most assuredly mean she burst through the door and into the training room with a lotta gusto for such a short person. Maeko felt invigorated and ready to train, she looked all over for that Pink haired Uchiha who'd accompanied her there. She spotted him but he seemed busy, so she just huffed, took her gunbai off, planted it in the ground by its top, and used it to lean on. "Great, when I'm ready to spar, no one is around. Huff."
Kaito was lost in thought as he approached the dojo, thinking of ways to earn himself notable accomplishments, or letters of recommendation. He also wanted to increase his mission count to prove he was diligent. He was going to busy, but he wanted to warm up before he started busying himself with pursuing his advancement.
He wandered into the dojo with only half a ear on the environment, but overheard a mention of a spar, leaving a lightbulb going over his head. "That's a brilliant idea!" He exclaimed, slamming the side of his fist into his open palm. "Miss, would you like to spar with me? It would help me warm up and I'd certainly appreciate it." He offered a toothy grin.
ooc: What are the rules of the spar? My ninja can use up to b-rank jutsu but I can cap him at C-rank so it's equitable!
There Maeko was, just leaned back, enjoying her own time, waiting for anyone that wanted to spar. She was scanning the few people who were there, when the younger boy came running up to her. Her facade fell over her, she was excited on the inside, but merely crossed her arms. He was an inch shorter than her, and she could tell, at least a couple years younger. Though, he had a determined look in his eye and his hair was absolutely curly. Mae' wouldn't lie, he was handsomely cute in his own right. "Mmmmh, you sure? You aren't gonna cry if I accidentally cut ya, right?" Her voice sounded absolutely bored, but if he paid close attention he'd see a slight quiver of excitement. She had so much knowledge now, and she wanted to put it to the test! Here's hoping they don't end up breaking things, but knowing how she burst through the door at the Kage's office, she'd blow the hinges right off this fight! "Actually, challenge accepted." Her hand moved to grip the shoulder of her cloak and she tore it off, tossing it behind her. Mae's arms and back were exposed and a bit of her chest. It was obvious she kept everything light when it came to fighting, to make up for her huge Gunbai. Of which she tugged out of the ground and walked to one side of the fighting area.
Kaito automatically searched her for a blade when she mentioned cutting, but since she moved to the sparring area with a gunbai, he figured that was her sole weapon. He made a gesture to use his hanaton techniques, generating a clone of himself out of petals. The clone Kaito pulled out his snake whip while the real Kaito grinned. "You want to swing that gunbai at him, or at me?" His teasing was good-natured, but not everyone would take it that way.

Something he might have noticed as she walked away, her right hand was outstretched and something seemed to be pushing out of her palm. A white tip of a blade, and it grew ever longer. And it didn't stop growing till it was the size of a katana, it started to fall when her fingers wrapped around its hilt. Maeko hefted her gunbai up, taking a fighting stance. "How about both, boy?" She called out, stone faced towards his teasing, the tip of her Sword pointing at the two of them. She did like his spirit though, she was actually cracking the slightest of smiles.
