"I've got it!" Belle says proudly, shoving a stack of papers off her desk to make a space, and adding to the disaster on the floor. She lays out two digitally rendered images and smooths them out before slouching back in her chair with a huff. Noticing stray curls sweat-glued to her forehead, she takes this opportunity to try to brush them back with the rest.
You could do it all by magic. You could wave a wand and get twinkly stars and a fresh-baked loaf. You could make fish jump out of the sea ready cooked. And then, somewhere, somehow, magic would present its bill, which was always more than you could afford. That's why it was left to wizards, who knew how to handle it safely. Not doing any magic at all was the chief task of wizards β not "not doing magic" because they couldn't, but not doing magic when they could do and didn't.

"These are drafts of course; I still need a name for the roleplay. Then I can finish this and start get into the format coding and we'll be skippy in no time at all." She says, with a smile, idling straightening her stapler and looking around the room for comment.

Awesome. Let me see what I can come up with. How do we go about submitting the profiles? Post them here? Send it to you via PM? (Was looking for an excuse to use 'via'.) And let me rack my brain for some RP titles.

Thornwick hoobaap Roy T Inane Trance Harper Or pirates maybe . . like a good ol' Caribbean pirate plot . Blackbeard-style ( no , I mean real Edward "Blackbeard" Teach , not PotC Blackbeard - well , I love PotC , but like , you know . . )
I like pirates! I second the pirates idea. YOHO YOHO A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME. I third the pirate idea. Maybe add a little steampunk? Or is that too much? Oooh, me gusta (I like for people who don't know spanish)!

...I am so confused. What role-play are we even talking about? I only got two quotes; one about help for the role-play or something (that didn't describe what it was) and this one about title ideas or something. What are you guys even talking about?

When Roy first came back, he talked about starting up a large role play with all the people that are still active. Throughout the course of conversation, we came up with the theme to be steampunk pirates on an airship. It's still a bit foggy. (Belle? is that what you go by?) came up with graphics. And here we are, in need of a title. For which, might I suggest " Sang sur la Mer"? It's Blood on the Sea in French

It's Blood on the Sea in French And don't forget the vessels (ships on the sea/airships) that somehow possess the ability to manipulate the elements. I really like that title. 3nodding I'm not really hoping to have any of these chosen, but since we're just brainstorming ideas, I'm just going to throw these out there: Turbulent Skies (not my favorite.. wow, that's pretty bad xp ) Blood and Bone (meh) Maelstrom (...) *shrugs* neutral That's all I got. If we're still coming up with stuff, I'll throw more in here when they come up. 3nodding

How about "yarrr I have gangrene from a serious lack of vitamin c due to the inherent nature of seafaring and sky voyage! Arrrgh!"
PS those designs are mega nice.
More roleplay name ideas: "Err Pie Rates," a pie salesman gets into a hilarious mixup and is Shanghaied into a pirate crew.
Lightish Red (Not Pink) Tide - it's not really a crimson tide yet, but it's working on it.
Roy is the Best, kind of my favorite
War and Peace (Not Plagiarized (But Still 5,000 Pages))

Roy T Inane How about "yarrr I have gangrene from a serious lack of vitamin c due to the inherent nature of seafaring and sky voyage! Arrrgh!" PS those designs are mega nice. Lightish Red (Not Pink) Tide - it's not really a crimson tide yet, but it's working on it. Roy is the Best, kind of my favorite War and Peace (Not Plagiarized (But Still 5,000 Pages)) rofl I vote for "Lightish Red (Not Pink) Tide". 3nodding And I agree fantastic work with the designs. Well here's my character submission: Thornwick Archibald Aloysius Twitch βArchieβ Male | 57 | 5β8β Specialty: Domestic worker (butler/majordomo)/Former operative of the Special Unit to the Royal Military. Crew Position: Passenger. (Unless something happens, and he ends up a hostage, or somehow, unwillingly, becomes part of the crew.) History: Being the fifth generation of an impressive military lineage, Archie accepted his draft into the Royal Military, without question. (Growing up with men like Archieβs father, and his father before him, and his fa--well, you get the picture--he was practically groomed for it since birth.) So, it was no surprise heβd be the first out the door at the bugleβs blast, when everyone else cursed and moaned for five more minutes of precious slumber; no surprise he'd come out on top in all aspects of physical training (thanks to all the mandatory family drills conducted at four in the morning); and, definitely no surprise, he had received honorable mention from his instructors during graduation. He moved on and continued to receive top marks while training for his impending career field, until his achievements were recognized by the top military officials. Soon after, he was whisked off to take on a completely different form of training, which led to the thrilling life of a cloak and dagger operative. It was good while it lasted.
The war crippled the country in more ways imaginable, and Archieβs unit disbanded. With his former life laying with the ruins of a once thriving empire, Archie decided to place roots in a land far across the ocean, where he built up a new career in door-to-door sales. Time passed, several cans of Dr. Pristineβs Miracle Cleaning Powder were sold, and Archie became restless. He loathed it; somehow, demonstrating the cleaning power of baking soda didnβt impress him as much as it impressed his female customers. It was impossible to ignore that old feeling resting on his shoulder--like a bug screaming in his ear. He desired order. Desired purpose. Where would he find such things in his present life?
The answer came to him in the form of a man dressed in a crisp, black uniform, who answered the door of a grand Victorian on one of Archieβs sales routes and--after a snooty βNo, thank youβ-- promptly shut the door upon seeing the product in Archieβs hand. A week later, he chucked the sales pitch along with the remaining cans of miracle powder, enrolled into the Eddensburry Butlery Institute, and excelled in domestic service. Balance had been restored.
These days, Archie takes quiet pleasure polishing shoes to a high shine; ironing wrinkles out of the morning papers; and commanding underlings below his station. How it reminded him of the good olβ days. Persona: Albeit a soft-spoken man, Archie's quite disciplined. From this, stems efficiency and diligence, which also contributes to his rigid nature; he can be stubborn and demanding, from time to time. However, in spite of all that, heβs a man that takes pride in his work. There might a soft spot in him, somewhere; he just too busy ensuring a jobβs done right to bother looking for it. Abilities: If youβre looking to host a huge event, plan a trip, or just want a mean cup of tea--Archieβs the guy whoβll arrange and oversee their completion. However, just because the old dogβs learned some new tricks doesnβt mean heβd forgotten everything else. Archieβs still pretty nimble for his old age, and the years only served to sharpen his senses. Lastly, donβt let the penguin suit fool you; with his general knowledge of Bartitsu, Archie is capable of throwing down in the streets if he must and, even without the gentlemanβs finery, Archie is still a considerable force to be reckoned with (his grandfather, being a Krav Maga master, saw to that). Strengths: Focused, thorough, driven. Weaknesses: Intolerant to drastic changes and general untidiness. Shoe Size: US 9 1/2. Other: Archie is a vegan. MUSIC: Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd Username: Thornwick

I'm interested, but I'm going out of town for the next few days, so I'll try to turn in a skeleton next week, ok? I'll be one of your less-literate folks just cuz I'm kinda new to this, but I'll try my best promise. I'm horrible finding pictures (and I haven't tried music, but I bet I'm horrible at that, too) sorry.
Love LOVE the graphics, "Belle"!
Title ideas (shorter but not sweeter): Elemental Pirates SkyPunk (steampunk with a bit more airiness) Pirate Wizards
Ok, I'm done, you can open your eyes, now.

Super thanks to Thornwick , Roy , and L'Tisha ! I worked super hard on them to make them feel right and fancy c:
Okay , I'm going to make a chatterbox thread with a poll for titles . Votables : Sang sur la Mer meaning "blood on the sea" -- I love this one personally >< Turbulent Seas Blood and Bone Maelstrom The Pale Red Tide War and Peace
If you want to add another I'll throw in an OTHER option and you have to write it in . Enough write-ins will yield a re-vote .
Also , theme songs for the roleplay ? Anyone ? Bueller ?
