Not-so-secret secret: I never understand what Divine is saying. Especially his most recent one. (Above mine).

Rough translation: "When I try to be nice to people, they're mean back. When I try to be mean to people, they're nice back. This vexes me."
So I was right? I do understand what he says.

Also in your sig, Solace? Chamber? Chamber from the X-Men?

No. Chamber the Final Project. Single-handedly ended the Ice Age before it could drive humanity to extinction, and rebooted the universe twice with administrative powers.
Knew it wasn't what I was thinking, but it was the only thing I could think of. Was bothering me forever. Also, I have never heard of this Chamber of which you speak. Can haz enlightenment plz?

He doesn't exist yet. Well, he might exist, but he hasn't been born yet. Time travel, y'know. Anyway, he's...from this...project of my friend's. It's sort of a fanfic-within-a-fanfic but set in its own universe with its own characters...y'know what, it's pretty well impossible to really explain, so I settle for mentioning their role in the plot. xp Solace actually died before Chamber was introduced, after meeting the legendary Sentinel leader and finally allowing the readers (that's me!) to know what's at the end of the right path from the Stone Lobby. She was thought to be the descendant of Alice, but it was in fact Chamber. Also, she discovered and retrieved the magic ball of light that enabled Chamber to not extinct the world, and also a baby. Babies are cute! whee

First time some one asked what he said, I wondered why they didn't get it. I understood what he was saying, but then I had trouble putting it into a pattern people are used to. Then I always wondered if I knew what he was saying.

If it's a fanfic within a fanfic, what's the base fandom?

I'll never understand people's attraction to small humans. I don't think they're that cute.

Gaia. xd Except it diverges sometime in 2008, when the robots take over the world because their leader is pissed about being a nuke disguised as a human being. 3nodding All in all, it's a very long, very complicated story, as you probably figured out from trying to link "robot invasion" to "glowing balls of light, Ice Ages, and magic admins resetting the universe". (You see, the whole original plot was a setup...*continues blabbering on until a giant jelly baby falls on top of her*)

Please never say that where I can see it ever again. I'm thinking about it when you say nothing, I don't want to be reminded.

I'm a little concerned that users who declined to join will be ostracized.

And more over, I'm concerned that this concerns me.

I had totally forgotten that my secondary school had houses until just now, when I was reading the Wikipedia article. I'm wondering what house relations are like now. For my yeargroup, Bennett (my house) and Fortune (which is now amusing) may as well've been the same thing because we were all close friends, Adelphi sort've got on with us, Chaplin thought they were better than everyone else, Ellington and Duncan were our enemies, and Garrick+Hepworth didn't exist in our year because of a long, boring story. ...and I'm just now realising how stupid out house names were.

Also, it was never as fun being in a house as Harry Potter made us all believe. ;_;

That just reminds me of how depressed I was when I spent the entirety of my summer holidays when I was 10/11 waiting for a letter that never came, and resigned myself to the fact that I would be going to an incredibly boring school when they were over xD

Pestilent Sins
Jennivieve
Here goes, then.

Lately, I've been feeling rather pathetic. It seems like I have no life at all. Some of my old friends moved away, and after high school, the rest of us are loosing contact. Now, I know there are some who would say, "Then just make new friends". Two problems with that. First of all, I've never been that outgoing, and so making new friends can be rather difficult for me. Thus, why I had nearly the exact group of friends K-12. Plus, I go to a community college where it's mostly business, not so much social. I mean , yeah, if you knew these people from before-hand, great. But that's not really my case. And you might have some friends one term, only to never see them again.

Where was I? Oh, yes. It also feels like my sister flaunts that she has a number of friends while I don't. She probably doesn't mean to, of course, or perhaps this is all nonsense inside my head. But when she goes out once or twice a week with them and I'm stuck at home, well, it silently hurts a bit. And yes, I've tried going with her once or twice. Sadly, the guy I had been able to relate to the best isn't exactly in their group, more like a fringe member. And while my sis and I used to have the same types of friends, that's changed a bit.

So that already makes me feel pathetic. It now feels like the only friends I have, the only pseudo-life I have, is on this site. That, of course, ratchets up the pathetic-ness another notch. I wish it could be different, but at this point, I wouldn't know where to start. Thus, I seem to be stuck in a rut. And then you have Mom railing about that and the whole why-don't-you-have-a-boyfriend thing, but that's a whole other rant.
It's hard really, I'm lucky that I picked up friends after graduating highschool. Truth be told, even these friends are drifting. It's just the nature of things. Don't feel you're a loser because your friends left and you're having a couple hang ups in life. We all go through them. Beating yourself up over it doesn't really help your situation either. Just look forward to another day, try to grit your teeth and say "Hi" to another person. Hell, you might even get lucky and find some decent people. It's tough talking to people because you'd prolly think to yourself "Yea, I'm not gonna bother this person." while all the while, that same person could be thinking the same thing. IT HAPPENS! So keep your head up and aim straight. That's all I can give you. ^_^ Also, I had alot more internet friends when I was in highschool because people around where I went to school with were a bunch of retarded chimps, or lying skanks. Just have some hope and courage and persevere in the tough times. I mean, just because a friend has left doesn't mean they're not your friend right?

Things may be starting to turn around. Over the summer, I met a girl who I count as a friend. She was considering going to the Newmann Society at my school, as am I. So today's challenge: find out when and where they meet. Hopefully she'll be there. As for the whole internalizing and beating myself up thing, well, that's a bit harder to solve. You see, I'm naturally very emotional. However, my family doesn't like seeing that, so I've learned to keep it in. But, things build up, and you see the result. Must find a happy medium somehow. But you're right about friends who are away are still friends. My best friend has been in Aussieland these past three years. But, she has a Magic Jack,so we do still occasionally have phone calls, assuming tech will cooperate.

Jennivieve: Why would your mom be upset because you DON'T have a boyfriend? XDXD

She thinks that since she had her first bf at age 15 or 16, that I am long over-due for one at age 21. She also thinks that this is marriage age, let alone that mum and dad were in their 30s when they married. She also uses her sister as an example, bad though it may be. (My aunt's been divorced thrice so far.) And, of course, the old "I'm not you, Ma!" doesn't work.

One of the toilets, the one in my brother's and my bathroom, is clogged for absolutely no reason. Literally. I plunged the hell out of it, I tried using the brush thingy, I even (possible squick) reached in to see if I could at least feel the obstruction if not pull it out, and there's nothing there. Nothing. gonk

Repost because I'm an attention whore. 3nodding

Sometimes stuff gets stuck past the u-bend. Thar could be where your problem is. A snake will help (the tool, not the reptile.)
