[Alice :: Underworld]

"Yup," Alice replied curtly as she turned around to face Hades, unfazed by his sudden appearance. She returned his gaze and stuck her hands into her pockets despite the warm weather. "He wants to know who Mateus' avatar is."

Straight to the point. The more time she wasted running circles around the point, the longer she had to stay baking the soles of her feet.

[Kichi :: LoD :: Throne Room]

Kichi, nodded to Kyla. "No problem" he said quickly, and stood up. He got into a defensive stance, ready to defend Kyla again, when Kurt Zisa slammed the ground. Kichi managed to stay up, but Kyla had unfortunately fallen down. He offered her a hand up, noting her frustration with the whole situation. "I'll protect Kyla, FOCUS ON THOSE ORBS!" He yelled out the the others, waiting to help her up. "Break them ASAP!!"

'Are you sure Kichi? You might be helpful in breaking them...'

'Yeah, my weapons, without magic, are best in prolonged exchanges of blows. Getting in a fight like that with this guy would not work well. I'm better off using the defensive side of my weapons to help protect Kyla until she can help.'

[Dawn : Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Dawn continued walking down the pathway quietly. Her eyes darting back and forth. She was scared out of her wits.

'Perhaps I should of went with someone else...'
she thought sadly as she looked back at the way she came remembering that the pathway to the others was blocked.

With a heavy sigh she went forward once more, running face forward into the glass wall and wires. Giving herself quite the shock.

"Ouch got dang it!" she shouted in frustration as she jumped back from the wires rubbing her chest to which one of the wires touched in effort to ease the sting.

Dawn shook her head as she turned left and followed down that path.

[John.:Land of Dragons:.Throne Room]

John took one look at the blade coming down upon him, and, as he was more nimble without the war hammer, he was able to dive and roll out of the way easily. He did not expect the shockwave on the ground and consequently, was knocked off of his feet and hit the ground hard. Without very little thought, he summoned the war hammer and lurched forward to the blade on the ground.

Keep the distraction. Let the others finish him off. Go for the blades

John attempted to further the Kurt Zisa's attention away from those that were going for his orbs and ran forward dragging his war hammer on the ground behind him. He was getting slightly fatigued, but it did not matter as rest would lead to certain death. Cross country training finally paid off for something in his life.

He reeled up once more with his war hammer and attempted to dent or slightly warm Kurt Zisa's blade. He knew that both were probably magic, but he didn't care enough to think about such things. All he knew was that he couldn't get to the orbs with his speed, so he might as well play decoy.

ʆabyrinth of Ƞightmares

Bobbi swore at the new raw spot on her fingertip, and jerked her hand away from the wire that had zapped it. She stared around at the darkness surrounding her, barely able to see much of anything, just vague darkness that seemed to be solid, flat, and right there, vague darkness that seemed to be effervescent, non-existent, and not there, and occasional maybe-reflective-maybe-transparent-won't-know-until-I-get-there darkness. As she sucked on the sore and chose one of the paths on the triple fork, she fought back tears that were obstructing her vision more than the darkness was.

It was ridiculous how much she wanted to just huddle up in a corner and cry. It wasn't so much the darkness--she kinda liked the dark, it was easier on her eyes--as it was the hopelessness of the situation, the several falls, the pain of the wires, glass, and every now and then a wall...

I just want to go ho-- no, I don't want to go home. I was useless there. I won't go back to that. I won't go back to being nothing and alone.

As Nanaki continued through halls that were unfamiliar in an attempt to get back to at least close to where he was, he began to fret about the others. He had lost track of how long they had been down in these tunnels, and desperately wanted himself and the children out and safe. Preferably with Oogie Boogie defeated and the Enchantress rescued.

"Be safe, children,"

ʆand of Ɗragons

Riku eyed Kurt Zisa a moment after Leon's bullet ricochetted off, looking for a weakness, an opening. He was forced out of his search by the descent of the monster's blade. It's heavy, yet slow descent. He easily dodged back, and took a swing at the blade with the Road to Dawn as an experiment, wondering if he could damage the weapons and destroy them first. However, the shock wave from Kurt's heavy blow sent him to his knees, unable to keep his feet.

There has to be some way... he thought, noting the joints in the armor and the protective way the beast moved it's arms around the orbs.

Demyx was rattled around and fell over when Kurt Zisa's blades smashed into the ground. He was beginning to think things would be easier if he could use his water magic, but since he couldn't, and his Sitar was still useless for battle, the situation was looking pretty hopeless from his end.

It was looking pretty hopeless in front of him, too.

((The God of Death is back from Hell!! Time to play catch up Posting it now to find out will be editing immediately afterward))

{James : Halloween Town : Labyrinth of Nightmares}

{{Cue: Sometime, Somewhere}}

James was getting very sick of this maze... Even with his improved eye sight thanks to Fenrir it was nigh impossible to distinguish between mirror, opening and wire. His arms especially were getting very numb and the rest of his body just ached. He had put away his hexagun, learning from past mistakes of the hexagun brushing against a wire... Metal and electricity was not a good mix. He hadn't been able to move his right arm for a whole minute after that one. Despite all of the halts and zaps though he was making steady progress. As he rounded a corner he noted it was a dead end. Except for the fact that there was a strange device up ahead. He could see the lighted wheels and the lever from where he was. It was some sort of slot machine.

"No doubt another part of Oogie's bag of tricks..."

James said to himself as he approached the device. It was a lead, something more then he had had until now. So he figured he might as well see what it did.

"Knowing Oogie he wouldn't want to kill off people this way. He likes messing around with his victims too much. It can't get much worse then getting zapped in this maze."

'You should be careful regardless... You do not know what it will do.'

Fenrir said, trying his best to advise James to act with caution in this situation.

"Even so, there is only one way to find out what it does."

James replied out loud to the Lunar Wolf as he reached the slot machine and pulled the lever. His eyes focused on the wheels as they spun, pictures of spiders and bugs lit up on the wheels. When they stopped spinning the first one was a spider, the other two were bugs. Suddenly a panel appeared on it were a number of blue dots and one red dot. While the blue dots were moving the red one stayed in place. He figured the red one had to be him and the blue dots... probably the other people in the maze.

"I want to get out of here, yet not at the inconvenience of others."

He said as he pressed a blue dot that seemed to be either equal to or just slightly ahead of where he was. There was a lot of noise as the machine activated and then dropped down, revealing a passage for him to proceed through. As he walked into it suddenly the floor opened up beneath his feet dropping him into what could only be some kind of box. There was a lot more noise and James felt the slight sensation of movement, it was very disorienting.

{Auron : HT : Labyrinth of Nightmares}

Auron was not fairing much better then the others in terms of getting electrocuted by the wires. His large frame and not to mention massive katana made it very hard to navigate the narrow paths without running into either mirrors or wires. Though the Unsent Samurai wouldn't show it, agitation was definitely starting to set in.

"Enough!"

Auron yelled out as he brought his blade down severing a wall of wires. Sending a jolt through his body, he was going to get zapped regardless. He repeated this a number of times, grunting slightly with each wire severed. Right as he was about to sever another one though he suddenly dropped down into a hole in the floor, easily landing on his feet as the box closed on him and he felt the same disorienting feeling of movement. When it raised up again he looked around to see more wires and mirrors, at least though a path was still open ahead of him so he could proceed.

"Well that was different."

He said as he brought his katana back to his shoulder and continued to move forward. Seemingly unfazed by the changing of his position.

When James came back up and looked at his new surrounding. It really wasn't that different, a lot more mirrors and wires except that he noted that behind where he came up there were a number of wires that had been severed clean in two...

"Whoa! It looks like somebody lost their temper."

It was a good marker though as to which way the person had been heading so he continued moving ahead. Thankful that it wasn't a dead end.

{Leon and General Li Shang : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}

General Li Shang had fallen back after his initial strike had done nothing at all and watched as pretty much any other attacks were simply negated as well. His eyes narrowed as he noted the only ones that actually seemed to do anything were the orbs. Which seemed to match the general consensus as this creature's weak spots.

He was just about to charge forward as the gigantic Heartless brought his blades down on the ground, shaking the foundation of the building itself. He planted his feet to absorb the impact so as not to lose his footing. He then jumped up swinging his sword upward at one of the orbs.

Leon had chosen to stick to ranged, as massive as this heartless was, it would do no good for all of them to get into close ranged combat. That was definitely an advantage of the gunblade is that it could be used like a gun. As the ground shook from the massive Heartless' strike he was far enough back that he felt the shake but it didn't do much to interfere with either his footing or his shot.

((Rolling...and time for the good old switcher u))

[Dawn : Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Dawn continued at a slow and steady pace, despite being zapped several times in the process. One of the zaps via of her Tessen that had brushed against one of the wires, sending the wave of electricity to her hand that was carrying it.

"Ugh, this is getting old!!!" Dawn yelled out in frustration, so loud that it echoed down the pathways. With a pout on her face she continued down the path till she started to see something lit up at the end of the way, "A light? Maybe it is a way out?" she ran, filled with hope, though she was zapped a couple of times as she did. But that hope was gone when she got to the light to see it was some sort of strange slot machine, "Got dang stupid machine... making me all excited like that."

A little annoyed of being wrong, Dawn kicked the machine. A kick that snapped the machine to action. The machine's wheel's moved for several seconds before landing on a black spider, stink beetle, and another black spider. The machine made a little musical sound, showing her red dot along with the blue dots of the others. One of them, close to her glow red along with her before it went silent.

"Umm, okay..." Dawn said looking at the strange machine with her head tilted to the side.

As she stood there, the floor under her feet went out from under her. Dawn screamed as she fell, on her butt, into a strange box that seemed to be moving. Switching her with the unexpecting Sora.

She was in the said box for several moments before she appeared in a completely different area. Dawn slowly stood up as she scanned the area, it wasn't much different than before.

"Okay whatever...." she said with a shrug before she summoned her second Tessen and continued down the path in the direction she was facing. As she continued walking, not one, but both of her fans snagged on wires. Giving her a double shock treatment.

"GODDAMNFANSMADEOFMETAL!!!!!!!"

[Mulan & Mushu : Land of the Dragons : Throne Room]

Mulan eyed the fireworks on the far wall for several moments from where she stood. Her footing was weak from the shaking of the ground. She looked up in time to roll and dodge a blade that came swinging past her. As she got back up her eyes landed on the orbs that everyone was shouting to take down.

'There is no way I could reach them like this...' she thought, but remembered the fireworks on the wall.

"That's it!" Mulan shouted, putting her sword back in the sheath. Without it in her hands she was able to run more freely and jump over or roll under the blades to the other side of the room, almost getting knocked back a couple of times. She ran pass Kyle. She reached up and grabbed a rocket shaped flare.

'Perfect..'
she thought as she inspected it, 'I just hope it works.'

With that thought she ran to the back of the room which Demyx and Mushu were hiding. It had less intruptions in which she could get better aim. Though the room was shaking, but there was nothing she could do about that.

Mulan carefully directed the tip of the rocket in the direction of the orb opposite of which Shang was attacking. When she was satisfied with the direction she reached down in her pockets.

"I need a match. I need a match..." she whispered to herself before she spotted Mushu to her right.

"Oh no," Mushu said seeing Mulan looking at him, remembering all the other times Mulan used fireworks, 'Oh no, oh no. NO NO NO!"

The little dragon moved as quick as he could in the direction opposite of his charge but he was too late for she grabbed him, not too gently. Mulan pulled his tail with one hand while squeezing his stomach and chest with the other. Forcing him to breath a flame onto the fuse before she let him go to hold the rocket steady.

"HEADS UP!!!!" Mulan shouted for all to hear as the rocket went flying, praying that it would leave a mark on the Heartless fiend without harming her allies.

Mushu, with a little dizziness to his steps. He made his way in the direction of Demyx, where he fell on his stomach in front of the Nobody.

"Why me...?" he asked himself with a little tears in his eyes.

[Hades : Underworld]

"Mateus? That creeper's back in the game?" Hades replied, a look of amused curiosity flashing from his eyes as he gave a smirk. For a moment, he glanced up, as if to see above ground, a look of malicious nostalgia now gleaming in his eyes. "Heh. Didn't think I'd be seeing him around any time soon after him and his pals... wait, why does that bratling care? Is the big bad esper giving'im a rough time?"

{ Kurt Zisa ~ The Fury of the Desert }

Amy's and John's attacks seemed to do absolutely nothing against Kurt Zisa- everything except the shots at the orbs, both of which slowly began to crack and flicker underneath all the damage. Cloud's powerful assault on one of the two orbs was the final straw for that one, forcing it to shatter into bits of energy... but leaving that arm free to quite literally grab Cloud around his abdomen, holding him in the air.

Axel, who had been in the process of attacking the same orb, was grabbed by the third arm on that side, keeping him up alongside Cloud. Under the barrage of fire, the massive Heartless tossed the two beings forcefully at the other attackers; Cloud and Axel was tossed directly at Kyla, Beatrix, and Jon, with Cloud's heavy sword following shortly after even if he'd let go.

However, in the process of throwing those two, Kurt Zisa had left his second and final orb unprotected. The combination of assaults from Leon and Shang were near finishing off the orb; just as the Heartless attempted to swing his blades in defense, though, Mulan's firework soared off-course (luckily for the group), exploding on contact with the orb and knocking Shang backward in the explosion.

The orbs destroyed, Kurt Zisa seemed to reel, as if he'd just been smacked into a barely-conscious state. After a moment of dangerously wobbling around, possibly stepping and running into the others, he fell onto his rear, the giant blades clanging onto the ground. He was hunched over, bringing his serpent head to be within jumping range. However, the head suddenly began to stretch forward, revealing his strange, snake-like neck; the head and unprotected cord-neck was now within normal attack range. As well, all magic abilities had returned with the destruction of the orbs.

[ Kyle : HT : Labyrinth of Nightmares ]

After mumbling another string of curses upon touching a set of wires, Kyle turned the corner, hoping to keep himself calm... only to come across a slot machine against the wall. Kyle raised on eyebrow suspiciously, slowly walking forward to examine the machine. He touched it lightly- not deadly to the touch, that's good. He should have expected there be some sort of gambling reference. This was Oogie Boogie, after all. The final battle with him in one of the games had been a roulette wheel or something of the sort.

"I never did like the slots, though," he muttered, reaching his hand cautiously to take the handle before pulling it down in a single, powerful movement. The slots began to blur by, and Kyle attempted to see the possible choices- there was no legend anywhere on the machine itself, so he had no idea what the choices would be-

The slots finished. A touchpad of sorts revealed itself, giving an eagle-eye map of the maze and a slew of blues dots, each moving at their own pace. Some were farther than others. Some would blink out of existence and then return mere seconds later, stalling for a moment before moving forward again (must be 'switching places', as the pad displayed). Then there was a red dot, somewhere around the middle of the labyrinth, blinking- he touched it, and nothing happened.

Must be me... so if I have to press one of the other dots...

He thought for a moment. Who to choose? Obviously, he wouldn't go backward in the labyrinth. Would he pick someone in the middle? Would he pick someone with an easy-looking path?

No...

He pressed the dot that was the farthest along in the maze. He didn't know who it was, but what he did know was that they were the farthest... and they were alone. If it were Joe or Auron, that wouldn't be too much concern for him. But if it were Jenny, Zeba, Noelle...

Better that I jump in first in case there's danger.

Suddenly, the glass wall behind the machine slid down and away, revealing another path. Confused, the teen stepped forward, wondering what was going to happen. It didn't hit him until the glass wall slid back up behind him that the scene was all-too-familiar. Someone had switched places with hi-!

The floor suddenly gave out, and Kyle fell into the box again. He awaited to rise again, faintly curious about who it was that he'd switched with. Unknown to him, it had been Jenny, who was going through the same thing as him at this point.

[Alice :: Underworld]

"Apparently so," The animator responded and shrugged as she shifted the weight on her legs. She had been there during the fight in Halloween Town... the fight that quickly transitioned into something much more unexpected. Alice's eyes flickered upwards to follow Hades' gaze as if, still wary of the God of the Underworld's tactics.

"I don't know what Cory's motives are for knowing," Alice replied, her brown eyes returned to looking at Hades. She didn't really care if she obtained the information or not, it wasn't going to benefit her. Just play along... "I'm merely here to ask and if you don't want to relinquish the information, I'll be on my way. The temperature down here is rather disagreeable to my body."

[Jenny :: HT :: Labyrinth of Nightmares]

The flutist wandered forth, her right hand clasped of her left arm and rubbing vigorously as if to shake out the numbing. Better to continually shock her left arm than her right when it came to terms of which one was more useful. Truly by now, her hair must've been in some afro like frizz but she couldn't be bothered to run her hand through her hair.

"You'd think I'd reach the end by now," Jenny murmured disheartened, it felt like she was walking aimless for ages but the buried part of her logical mind argued that it really hadn't been that long. She was about to take a step, when the solid surface beneath her feet disappeared as if she were standing on a turtle island only to have the turtle dive beneath the water.

Panic welled up in her stomach, she hated the feeling of falling. Did they not understand that?! Yeah, this version was probably free of sewer gunk but there was a reason why she avoided roller coasters.

"WHOEVER YOU ARE... KNOW THAT I HATE YOU!!!" Jenny managed to scream as she plummeted through the darkness, not knowing that it was Kyle she was screaming at. She figured it was just Oogie's sick twisted mind at work... which, by relation... it was. She landed with a mild yelp and a quick shot of pain through back.

[ Kyle : HT : Labyrinth of Nightmares ]

He thought he heard someone yelling, but could only make out the parts as he and the person (a girl by the sounds of it; he made the right choice) passed each other. Something about 'you are, know that'...

Shaking his head of the concern, he readied himself as he was raised back up to 'ground' level. It was only a few more twists and turns, if he remembered the map correctly. Swallow in hand, he began to run along the path he remembered, remarkably not touching any more wires-

Wait, no, there went one.

I will kill that bag of bugs.

[ Sora : HT : Labyrinth of Nightmares ]

Sora was slowly making his way through, having been able to successfully navigate the maze (for the most part, anyway). However, as he was just about to turn a corner, the ground dropped out from underneath him. He fell down swinging at whatever might have been down there... only to find the ground. Moving along and popping back up, he frowned- someone had moved him to some sort of dead end with only one way to go.

"Hmph... can't be wasting time like this," he muttered, running forward with his blade at the ready.

((Muahahaha, Jenny's awesome. XD))

[HT ~ Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Jack continued through the labyrinth growing weary of the shocks he'd been getting. Early on he decided to remove his head and hold it up where it could peer above the walls and find a good pathway, but even this couldn't help him find those sneaky wires; though he did find something else. There was a slot machine in one of the corners he saw from above. He found the pathway to it and replaced his head to peer at it in curiosity. Tapping his mouth with one boney finger while pulling the slot machine with the other he watched the images scrolling in front of him. When they all finally stopped the machine made a strange, triumphant-sounding noise.

All at once the labyrinth began to rumble and tremor slightly. It wasn't enough to shake anyone off their feet but it was noticeable. Then the walls of the labyrinth started sinking into the ground and they would continue to do so until they were completely gone.

Jack stood cautiously, watching the walls go down. He could see past the labyrinth but it was too dark to make anything out. Suddenly the chamber was illuminated with a light that the earthlings would know as a blacklight, making everything glow flourescently. And there he was at the end of the chamber, glowing that sickly, radiation green.

"Oogie Boogie! This time you've taken it too far!" Jack shouted in anger.

"Well-well-well! Look who's hit the Jackpot! If it isn't Skellington and his little friends. You really do disappoint, I'M WAITIIIING!" Oogie cackled, stomping around dramatically.

Noelle froze as all the walls began sinking down. What did I do? Did I step on something? She stood on her tip-toes to look over the walls as the neared her height. Then the blacklights came on, making all of her white clothing items glow. And she could see him. Oggie Boogie was just as large as she remembered. This was the second time she'd encountered him but this was definatelty a more frightening occasion. This was Oogie's turf and she was fighting on the other side now.
