Tanya shrugged when Jessica declined. Tanya climbed onto it, sitting cross legged and once she was comfortable, hovering four feet in the air, like it was a chair or something, she proceeded to answer Jessica, "Well, lets see... it needs no controls whatsoever, but only responds to one person at a time. If you had excepted my offer, I would have had to introduce you to it, and give my command over the board to you. Then it would respond to your thoughts, though spoken commands would work as well if you preferred."

Sherad smiled brightly as Natasya returned "Of course little one, your company was sorely missed" he said with a laugh. He watched Priya scurry away to answer a question, though was going to tell her how the elves could do magic. He wasn't completely sure about the other races, but he knew exactly how his did.

Zera was soon standing before the council of the lizardmen, a group of large, intimidating warrior preist that stared with cold, emotionless eyes at the one before them. Zera returned their scrutiny with his own, swishing his tail abck and forth to show he was waiting.
"Yesss, the human may come..." one croaked. Another hissed acent, while the others seemed to be less sure about letting one of another species enter their swamps. None had journyed there for many years, only reaching the smaller cities of the Lizard people.
Zera smiled a little, bowing before the council and turning away, heading for the craft that skimmed across the expanses of water that surronded the islands of life. It was aslo sleek, as was much of the Lizard technology. Zera stepped in and closed the hatch, letting the vessal slip through the water towards the edges of the swamps.

Jessica watched her, her fingers flying across the holographic keyboard, taking note of the workings. "So it has an artificial intelligence of sorts. What does it run on?" She asked, looking up to Tanya then. "Perhaps another time? I'd gladly accept, just... not right now." She added, smiling gently to her. She felt some guilt for whatever poor soul was facing Brother Mathias right then. Why do I suddenly feel like a mother with an abusive husband? It's totally not the case, so why does it feel that way?

Natasya giggled, draping herself over his shoulder, her wings fluttering a little. Tilting her head, she frowned a little again at Priya as she answered one last question. "She doesn't like blood. Thats why she bandaged your hand." She murmured, falling silent as the researcher came back over.

Priya smiled in an almost apologetic manner, bowing her head to them both. "Sorry about that, some of our staff are fairly new to this. Or are just having some difficulty." Her notepad was closed again, gathering her white hair behind her ears so it was out of her face. "Um, so how do you do the things that you do? You were talking to that badger earlier weren't you?"

Sherad frowned when Natasya reveiled that Priya didn't like blood. He often didn't think about things like that, prefering to let things pass him by. His smile banished the frown when Priya returned, asking her question again.
"Well, it is not all that hard to describe!" he said cheerily "When our world was created, the gods, one goddes in particular, set about giving each race gifts. Magic was one that they deemed a universal gift, letting each race find its own way to use and manipulate it. The elves and fae, the fairy-kin" he said, pointing to himself and Natasya "Are basically magic incarnate, with flesh and blood. In essence, magic is the soul and life-force of the fair-folks" he nodded his head and lifted his wounded hand. He unwrapped the bandgae and wiggled a finger over the bite, muttering a lyrical language that made both hands glow green. He smiled and held up the once wounded hand, showing Priya that the wound was gone, and no scar marred his fair skin "Example, I can commune with lifeforms, and heal organic tissue, as well as cast protective charms and other life-based magics"

Priya pressed a button one the side of the plates, recording everything that he was saying, watching the words spread across the page. She glanced up to him, watching him then, nodding once. Her eyes widened when his wounds healed over, almost dropping her notepad. blinking a little she exhaled slowly, smiling as she stopped the recording. "Does that mean you waste your life everytime you use magic? Or is it unrelated?" She murmured, glancing down to the holographic page to be sure it caught all of what he had said.

Natasya shook her head, her legs kicking a little. "Not for my folk. Though we are magic of the flesh like he said, I get my magic from light. So, sort of like solar power if you want to think of it that way. Water sprites and fairies get theirs from water, and so on. At least, for my folk. Is it the same for elves Sherad?" She asked, looking up to him with a small tilt of her tiny head.

Sherad seemed to whilt a little at the question, as well as Priya's observation "Unfortunately, elves do use a bit of our life-force, but we can draw on the energy of other living things..." he sighed deeply, the first time he seemed subdued "... but we more often than not leave the precious lives of the animals and trees to continue on, while we use our own..."

Priya looked up with slight alarm having recorded what he said, her brows furrowing. She was about to speak when Natasya jumped in out of nowhere, making her blink as she stopped the recording. "What...."

Natasya flew right up into his face, frowning, her glow not the normal pleasant golden color. No, it was almost a slight red. "Draw on mine then! I have an infinite supply Sherad. Draw on my energy!" There was a tinkling in the air like bells, her body suddenly growing, her wings unfurling when she was done. Even if he was taller than her still, at least she wasn't as short as before. "Please." Her golden eyes flashed a little as the glow faded, her hands remaining at her sides. The only glow that remained was around her hands, still ready to give him some whether he would take it from her or not. She hadn't known that, not at all. Her hair fell around her face, realizing that she was making a slight scene, but that was partially what she was best at doing.

Sherad smiled slightly "You have no need to worry Natasya, my life-force is not harmed, it is fairly well!" he said cheerily, grasping Natasya's wrist and putting her arms at her sides "Only powerful spells, such as summoning an earth-elemental, will weaken it" he smiled, even though he was lying through his teeth.
The truth was that an elf could live many years, but each time they cast a spell, their essence was wounded, and in doing so, they lost years of their life. Only days of meditation could regenerate their life-force, and even then, they were forced to sacrifice an animal, something no elf ever wished to do.

Tanya just smiled, "Absolutely nothing" she said, pausing before continuing, "it's all about magnetics, it can go about a thousand feet in the air, but then it becomes fairly unreliable and much slower, so the closer to the ground it is, the faster it can go." then without moving her body an inch, the disc glided in a circle around Jessica, and then slowly began to rise, so Tanya looked down at her now. Then, without warning, it shot off at an incredible speed, then circled around and came back, where she stopped almost in the same spot she had left off.

Natasya did not smile, her hands relaxing from the fists they had formed, looking away from him. Any spell required magic, and if it required his essence to do it, then any spell would weaken it. This, she knew from truth and experience when using magic of any sort. She turned from him entirely, pulling her wrists from his grip, her wings suddenly flapping, hiding the fact they had been drooping a bit. Letting them fall still, she remained silent, wanting to shout and call him a liar, but she was doing her best not to cause more of a scene than she was. Which she knew she was failing at.

Priya blinked at all of this, glancing down to her notes from the two of them, her eyes then resting on the fairy. She got the feeling that due to that reaction, he was lying in some part or other, or perhaps entirely. She backed away a bit, hearing her name, making her sigh. "Um, please excuse me, I'll be back in a few moments." She bowed to them both, closing her notepad before walking over to the man who called her, jumping a little as fire was breathed into the air.

Mathias watched as everything was going on around him. He didn't bother introducing himself to the demoness, for one due to the rude way she talked, and two, too much was going on at one time. he would save the introductions for later.

((Don't forget OMG above ^^))

Sherad sighed and reached out to Natasya "Oh come now little one, I am fine!" he tried to smile as he saw the drake snort and swish its tail as one of the scientist backed away from it "What is it Natasya?" he asked, placing his hand on her shoulder.

Zera returned to the meeting place, seeing Tanya whizing about on a metal disc. he rolled his eyes and pushed through the undergrowth toward the neko city. He snorted and brushed off a fair amount of leaves and small twigs that had clung to him "You may come to the ssswampsss, but it isss advised againssst by mossst of the council..." he said to Jessica, as much as to Arya.

Jessica took note of everything, glancing up when she was done to see her zoom out of sight and then come back. Nodding a little, it made her think of the railways at home except taken to a new level. "Dunno if I'd be able to handle that. Never was great on roller coasters. I'd definitely go slower than that." She chuckled a little, glancing to Mathias with a small smile. She was trying to ignore the trouble that she was in, at least for now. "What do you think Mathias? How would you do on it?" She had noticed the rudeness, and couldn't blame him for not saying a thing to Tanya.

(( Just got to answering it. xP ))

Natasya stared at the ground, only vaguely aware of the light emitted from the drakes fire. Looking up at the feel of his hand, her wings faded from sight, some strands of hair falling down her back then. "Why do you lie? Unless the principles are suddenly different for you, using any spells requires energy. Whether its your own or taken from something else." She muttered, narrowing her eyes a little as she glanced back to him, her expression then softening. "Don't lie to me. I might not be the brightest fairy in the world, but I know when you're lying about things. Then I worry." She answered, turning her eyes away from him again.

Jessica looked up to see Zera join them, blinking a bit. Smiling a little to him, she bowed a bit, knowing it had been Arya that had asked him to do so. "Thank you Arya. Zera just reported to us." She called to the telepath whom was all the way back at the human camp, waving away a bug much like a fly from her face. "Thank you Zera. Um, if you'd advise I not, then I won't. I wouldn't want to upset even if I do have permission." She said softly, smiling gently to him.

(( Arya is a good distance away from Mathias, Kai, Tanya, and Jessica. ^^ ))
