morikoarina2 Ive only had one submission to my contest! crying was it a poor idea? If you want give suggestions for my next one. Aw...don't worry...I'm sure it will pick up...even my GUESS THAT SONG contest is slow too...people are just busy. *hugs* Where is your contest...I can't find it.

I'm guessing the problem is that the more work required, the fewer submissions you might get. I for one think it would be fun to enter but I'm stopped by my extreme non-talent in the artistic area. As for Guess That Song I think you just need to advertize more. I'm not sure people were aware a new round had started. You need to make a new post whenever a new round begins - not just update the first post. The new post bumps up your thread and shows it's active smile And for anyone who is running contests - don't be afraid to post in our news thread to announce a new round, voting, or simply reminders of the deadline coming up. Reminders here in the chatterbox are fine too! You can always poke me to add updates in the news thread or periodically make guildwide announcements as well. I'm happy to help!
*and don't forget that all new contests must be cleared with me before starting them wink

Too bad we can't color code the different threads in the guild. It would be nice if we could make all the contests one color, the discussion threads another color, current event/temporary threads another, etc.
