"No! This is not something to just shrug off, Sevilin Inthara." Shaking her head and grumbling under her breath when he wouldn't put her down. "You're damn right I did. And you took that choice completely away from me because you knew I would give up my life for him. You did what was in the best interest of our family rather than my own selfish desires. You were a man. Malik's bowing down and putting everything at risk. And then the stupid fool thinks he can survive energy transference every damn day!" Sighing. "I need you for that, by the way. And I will behave."
"What if they come looking for me?" She had thought of that a few times and lived in dreaded fear for the day a knock was going to come on Twilight's door. Malik didn't seem to think they'd ever come after her but she just wasn't so sure. "I just never really have. Everyone else has always come first. I worry about you sometimes, too."

"Yes, you'll get to go, and yes, you can visit the solarium. the light will do you good, and if I have to carry you you'll get to where you want to be. if I have to have four slaves carry you around in your bed."
Taking to eatting his own food lightly.
"Well it's good to let them know anyway. I don't want to keep family in the dark."

She couldn't help but laugh lightly at the picture that formed in her head. He'd probably do it too, and make a fancy show of it as well. That was just what he did, everything grand. Though she duly flung a fork full of food at him, as she usually did when she was chastising him and there was food. "Please, stop it now. How long are you going to hold a grudge? Such things are very painful."
"You forget one thing, Sweetheart. He didn't have a fighting chance and neither did you if it was left to its own. Believe me, if I knew that you both had a chance, I would not have done what I did." Though he was amused how she was screaming about all of this yet doing it at the same time and enlisting him as well. But stopping, he put her down but didn't let go of her yet. "Come now, you know our bunch is the most stubborn people you ever deal with."
"The moment they step foot into these lands, everyone that needs to know will know that fact and they won't be allowed any closer." That is unless they were being dragged in bound to face some wrath. "Like I said, it's okay to worry about other people, even me...but you need to worry about you as well. How you're feeling, how you're looking, what you want to do, what's important tomorrow...you know, all of that."

"She doesn't have a chance, Sevilin. This baby is going to kill her. Do you remember how close she came to death with Dhairiss? Her body completely shut down and I passed out just to bring her back to health. It's not going to be any better this time, in fact, it's going to be worse." Running her fingers through her hair. "You have to think about the current lives and mothers aren't in a position to do that. That's really my problem. I want Malik to make the decision but he's leaving it to Piper. And that means she's going to try to carry this baby to term, possibly at the expense of her own life."
Kaelin thought better than to say that people could be convinced to betray others. She thought better than to say that they couldn't be with her all the time and they couldn't guard her all the time. Yinn was big on making sure she didn't leave the house, but he slept sometimes, too. "I do worry about me sometimes. I'm just usually too busy worrying about others to do so. But...if it will make you happy, I'll worry about me everyday. Okay?" Rolling onto her side so she was facing him and pushing a piece of hair out of his eyes. "So what do lovers do besides lay in bed together?"

"Those two are stubborn and not everyone is going to follow the best medical advice. And I know that infuriates you, when the people you're telling know better. Remember how I kept poking at my face? How many times did you have to hit me? A lot." Reaching out and running a hand through her hair as well in soothing manner. "If worse comes to worse, you'll do what you have to do and Malik will probably agree with you. He wouldn't do anything to leave his sons without a mother, or orphaned. This is like a stomach flu, let it run it's course. She's your friend, you can either support her and lend your medical aid, or you can be against her on all fronts." Laying out the problem as he understood it and trying to help...which was hard sometimes but at least he tried.
"Just don't worry too much and we have a deal." Turning a look to her as she messed with his hair. Oh that was an amusing statement, seeing as they weren't exactly lovers but he wasn't going to correct her and go through why he needed to do so. "Tease each other mostly. That's the most fun part." Thusly poking her.

"I'm not holding a grudge, honest,"
smirking at the food tossed at him, and flicking back at her. and leaning back in his chair some, watching her to make sure she was eating.
"And why didn't you want them to come down?"

She knew he was right and she leaned against his side and shook her head. "I'm just scared for her. What happens if it gets to that point and I can't save her, Sevilin? I wasn't taught to take care of surface elves and even this is rare. Obviously I couldn't even help her flushed and giggly problem if she got pregnant. That knocked it out, not what I did. I don't want to see her suffer for no reason but I don't really want to take her baby from her either..." It was a hard situation.
"Deal." She'd have to keep herself from thinking about certain people too much if she was going to keep that deal, of course. Nope, she didn't get the intricacies of that statement at all, just thought it sounded completely natural. Someone who played something was a player. Someone who loves must be a lover, then. Giggling at the poke, she squirmed away from him and then reached out and poked his side right back. "There."

"You sure seem like you are, at least having the last comment is high on your list." Taking back to eating her food, pausing to drink at some tea that had been brought as well, before watching him in contemplative look. "Because I knew all of this would be happening. With what's already happened there, I didn't want to add to the stress they're feeling. Besides...I've been through things this bad on my own before."
Slipping an arm around her waist, he took to walking once more and pulling her along with him. "Between you and Malik, I'm sure that she won't get to that point. And you can learn to take care of a surface elf in this particular way." Patting at her side lightly, "I don't think she gave you the chance to kill her flushed and giggly state." Squeezing her to his side, "Admit it...you'd take the same route as her if you were in the same situation."
He let his hand go from poking to tickling at her as she tried to squirm away. Which was nothing new really as they often teased one another. "Belive me, you'll feel like a weight is off your shoulders soon and then you'll be painting all the time and I'll have to pry your brush from your hands to get any attention. Did you know my brother still has that butterfly you made?"

"Yes, I suppose I can. I have Kieran and Lateef at my disposal after all, and between them, I think they know everything there is to know about surface elves and can answer any questions I've got." She looped an arm around his waist and settled in against his side like normal, sighing. "I know I would, but that's not the point, Sevilin. With my hormones raging and that mother feeling descending, I'm in no position to make that kind of decision. It would be left to you and I would hope that you would do what is best for all of us. I still miss Orresith and think of him constantly, but I also know that giving up my life for his wasn't the best move at the time. Even if he would have been able to live through it." Shaking her head. "That really sounds awful, doesn't it?"
Eventually, she ended up at the end of the bed, curled up into a tiny ball to get away from his squirming fingers. At least until he asked her a question at which point her white head popped up, her hair a complete mess and she studied him in confusion for a moment. Then her face cleared and she crawled back up, flopping on her stomach. "Really? I had so much fun making it and it was so easy, too. I can't believe he kept it all these years..."

"It never occured that the idea of another memeber of the family might help offset some of the stress that they were feeling? one life has moved on, and another life coming to them?"
frowning a bit.
"Fair enough, but that doesn't mean just because you have, that you have to do it again alone. that's what family is here for. to help you through hard times."

"Yes, that occured. But with the news of me being pregnant for a third time that would only stress them out more than they were before, even if there are good innuendos in the mix." Taking to poking at her food again, "I know...this is just one of those things where no one knows exactly what to do and so assumes the worst."
He poked his head around the corner, watching his parents. After all, with that kind of news he was indeed curious and he by nature was already too curious for his own good. But this was kind of upsetting too, which meant he had to investigate.
"And I would let you try to have that baby even if it wasn't the best thing to do. It may not seem like the smartest thing but at the same time no one would ever get anything done if they didn't take chances. Hell, you and I wouldn't be where we are today if everyone did what was best only." Shaking his head, "It's not awful."
He couldn't help but chuckle at her dishevled apperance and he gave up on tormenting her with tickling for a moment. What was that look for? Yet it didn't seem to last long and she was back to lounging in his bed. "My brother is a sentimental creature that's for sure...that and the whole butterfly thing...but yeah. He still has it. Still sitting on the shelf in the nursery."

"Why do you have to be right and make me see reason, Sevilin Inthara?" Shaking her head as she indeed began to agree with her husband about many things. She still didn't like all the pain and anguish Piper was going to have to go through, but she did understand her desire to deal with it all at the chance of having another baby. And a girl at that. "It's going to break her heart if she loses her though." She'd been trying to stay completely objective about this fetus by not even calling it a girl at all. Sure, she knew how it felt to want something and finally be granted it...and then have it snatched away from you, too.
"Wow..." Lounging there for a moment, she suddenly grinned and then hopped off the bed and reached out for his hand. "Show me." Tugging on him because now she was excited and she really wanted to see it. "Please? As long as he won't mind..."

((Excuse my slow guys, Xaine's decided he wants to be held/nap in my lap. Babies, so demanding. heart ))
"Because I spent years earning that right, so I'm allowed to be so." At least she was calming down. It was never good when she got herself worked up, even if it was a good reason. "And if that happens, you'll be there too to return the favor for when she stood by you."
Another blink as she shifted gears again and he got up, letting her tug him across the room before he took to leading. "He won't mind, long as it doens't get broken." Leaving the room, they were of course met by an enthusiastic Yinn who wasn't happy about being locked out of the room all night. He got a pet and they headed to the nursery, moving over to one of the hight shelves and he gave a point. "See? Up where the little ones can't get it as well. Kit still spends some time in here."

getting up, and rubbing his wife's shoulders lightly...before noting his youngest son.
"Come on out, no need for eavesdropping."
leaning over and lightly pressing a kiss to his wife's halved ear.
"I'm supposed to be the pessimist here. your supposed to be the optimist."

"I wasn't really eavesdropping." Indeed coming into the room, wearing that apprehensive look that he didn't get too much but managed from time to time. After all, he knew what his mother being pregnant meant...she was sick for a whole year after she had him. Would it be worse for another? "I'm not going to have anyone to climb trees with for a while. So...are we all pitching in?"
"Yeah I know. When did we switch boots again?" Though it was indeed nice that he was being optimistic for the both of them, sometimes you just didn't want to be the happy one that everyone wanted to lean on. Piper wanted to be the leaner this time. Thusly she leaned back in her chair, letting Malik soothe her, not even flinching away this time as she still did out of habit usually. Reaching out a hand though she pulled Dhairiss over and pressed a kiss to his cheek in reassurance. "Things will be fine."
