So... what's the point of Minecraft? Is it just building stuff?

As far as I can tell, yes. It seems to be about adventuring and mining materials to build things. Since it released on XBLA I think I'm going to get it, then try to convince some of my friends to get it there too so we can build together. sweatdrop

Really? What kind of warning?

It was something about Cathulu not dropping nearly enough to make it worth buying. There were some other fish that were on the same list but as I'm not trying to build up a booty grab heaven, I didn't pay too much attention on it. All the statistics and calculations were a bit boring to me anyway.

Yeah, you know, I think there's no problem as long as you're happy with the tank you have. And I'll grab it when I can. 3nodding

I'm very happy with my tank, especially when I redecorate it on December 1st. I spent about 1Mil on new stuff so I can't wait to make it nice and cozy for the fish.

What I'm not very happy about is that Gaia will charge 3000 GC for Lovely Lucy during Black Friday. Why couldn't they charge 2500 or even 2000? sad
I'm currently questing for it and it's so tempting to buy it then instead of struggling to make enough gold. As it looks right now, I will have to use real money to get an virtual item if I want it in the near future. Oh well, it's no use complaining about stuff like this. There are bigger worries in the world.

Aw, I just found out that Anne McCaffrey passed away. I'm sure that means something to at least some of us here.

Yup, first world problems.

I sound so stupid when complaining about stuff like that. I actually do care more about others in the world, but unfortunately I can't help everyone. :/

You're right, you really can't help everyone. But at least you realize that problems concerning GC are trivial. You don't have to look too far to find people who haven't figured that out, especially on the internet, not to mention Gaia itself.

Yeah... I was just wondering how many actually will spend a lot on money on GC because of Black Friday. I can think of a hundred different ways to make better use of that money, but at the same time, aren't I allowed to waste a little bit of it on nonsense? I can't really decide what to do, so I'm just going to let it go and whatever happens, happens.

As much as I agree with you that there are many more "useful" things to spend money on, I also strongly believe that it is no one's right but one's own to decide what one spends money on. It's your money; as such no one has any right to make any judgement what you spend on. If you feel justified, then that should be enough. smile

That is very true. But it is myself I'm struggling with. For some reason I don't really like spending it on myself whether it is GC or real money. I am, however, currently signed up for autocash, but all that GC I get every month is spent on other Gaians. It's much more fun buying things for others than getting them for myself.

You know, if you've got some time on your hands I find the Crowdflower tasks from the GCash offers to be pretty good. I've made about 300 GC in the past couple of days.

No worries. I was so excited to have accumulated enough GC from the cash tree and Crowdflower to buy something that I bought myself a Runcible Spoon THEN a few hours later they announce this Black Friday thing. Fortunately I've got the next couple days off school I can spend a little time doing Crowdflower to hopefully have enough GC to get in on some of the sales.

I don't have a credit card, and I don't live in a country where you can buy GCash cards in shops.

I didn't use to have a credit card, but I did have PayPal. I transferred money to my PayPal every month and paid for online purchases, like on Ebay, through it. I'm not sure if that's something you might consider...

I tried to set up a PayPal account to my online banking account years ago, but it just wouldn't work, maybe because I'm with a local credit union and not a big bank. There's no point to try now because I'm working in a country where I'm pretty sure PayPal doesn't even exist. Plus I'm moving back to Canada in five weeks, and then I can just pick up cash cards at Wal-Mart.
