Fist of the Bro Star
Valentine Valtieri
While you were doing that, I was punching myself in the brain to create some dudes for a book. I just finished their minor profiles, but it's hard to really know what I'm doing when I'm the only critic.
What's the book about?
Oh, you know, the usual. Artificial humans called Espers, who spend their very short lives keeping a place called the Imperium alive and well at the cost of their own bodies. Most end up dying by overstressing their abilities and doing something called a Synapse Break, in which case, they're hunted down by one of the four protagonists. Those would be Exodus, Genesis, Revelation, and Timothy. They aren't pawns of the Imperium, but will often work with them when Revelation requests it. Just your typical stuff.
Ex is the main protagonist, and has an addiction to a drug called Perception. It allows him to break his Synapse Links at any time he wants, but it shortened his lifespan waaay more than it normally would've. The only reason he's alive is because Revee can repair a broken link. He's part of Series ACHYLS, Sixth Generation Esper. His model number is 0524-4444, which...in Japanese, means "Nothing(524) and DeathDeathDeathDeath(4444)" Like every other one of his brothers, he was created through Revelation's DNA, so he has an extremely proficient use of Espering, but a high tendency to lapse.
Genesis is his brother, and the only one who will willingly do a Synapse Break for the power because his just repair themselves. He takes Perception half as much as Exodus just because of the amount of times he'll lapse out because he did that too many times. He's part of Series TITAN, Twenty-First Generation, model number 3301-7511, which means absolutely nothing. His generation number is so high because the TITAN model was an extremely successful unit, but a few Espers in the Twenty-First were killed by Genesis out of his random anger. He has the ability to kill them because he was created from Revelation.
Timothy is the third brother created from Revee. He has a higher proficiency for Espering than either of his brothers, but moderate physical skill at best. He's a part of Series PURPOSE, but doesn't have a model number since he was the only experiment for that series. He has the largest amount of Espering abilities, and does not take Perception since it interferes with his ability. He's the most unique in the way of being able to use all Esper abilities, but he's still subpar compared to Revee because of where she came from. Not to mention he's only a copied fraction of her power, just like the others.
Revelation is the only remaining Esper from the original Series SERAPH, and the only living Esper from the original First Generation. Her model number is 0001-0001, and while she's the strongest when it comes to Espering, she hangs back and gives backup to her "brothers" through communication. Revee is normally contracted by the Imperium to deal with Espers that have broken a link, but most of the missions end without Esper fatalities because of her underlying hatred for humanity. She fought one time in the story, and leveled hundreds of buildings far over her head with no effort, but high use of her Synapse.
