Zeno: *stops short of Focht and watches, chuckling. The barrier didn't "feel" there.... it just gave an odd sensation as his hand phased through it*
Than:*Those words did mean a lot to him, to know there were people willing to stand by him* Nana-san....... *He just leans towards her and rests his head lightly on her collar bone, facing her neck with eyes closed* All I want..... is to do what I believe in. Why.... is it so hard for me to be whole? I know who my friends are.... I know who is my family..... am I wrong to try to do so much.......am I supposed to just give up when everyone else does?... *He keeps his eyes shut tight*..... It hurts..... just to think that I can't do anything and to watch people around me in pain.....

Focht goes on and steps through the barrier, using his hand to guide him so he didn't hit a wall. This probably wasn't the smatest thing he had ever done but he wanted another look around in the citadel.

To do what you believe in, is admirable. I don't know why you remain incomplete, but there must be some reason for it. No... it's not wrong to try, sometimes trying is all one has to go on. Even in their darkest hours... one must always try.

Slayer: Foolish.... *As Focht emerges into the citadel, he's greeted with Slayer's "mach punch" aimed straight for his torso. This punch had no elemental power, just pure strength made to damage and deliver a large amount of force*
Than: *He shouldn't be asking Nana. He knew why he was incomplete.... it was because he refused to succumb to hate... because he feared what would happen to him if he did* I'll never be able to show you how grateful I am.... for the kindness you've extended to me. Onegai..... *He sighed lightly* don't burden yourself with me. If.... I go through with this I don't know what'll happen.... I don't know what I'll do. and I don't want to hurt you.... not now. I really don't know what'll happen... but I couldn't stand the idea of losing my heart... my ability to care.....

Focht tried to step back through the barrier only to find it solid. He was caught off guard by it and didn't have a chance to block it or prepare for the impact, as he tried to move to his left to dodge. The fist connected pressing Focht into the barrier and cracking his sternum and 4 ribs on his right side, forcing the air from his lungs. He crossed his arms over his chest, gasping for air as he slowly dropped to his knees. He leaned back against the barrier know that he had just made one of the dumbest moves in his life.

Slayer: How sad.... you really had nothing to gain by knowing whether this barrier was solid.... yet you walked right in. You've a lot to learn, dear boy. Too bad you shall never know.... *He charges his energy to deliver a final blow to Focht* I will make this.... hmmm? *suddenly he stops and turns, silent. Another moment passes and he turns to Focht* Well.... aren't you lucky...... Lord Mastema has decided to keep you alive...... He must have plans for you... *He chuckles a bit*
Than: Arigatou. *He relaxed against her* I may be Thanatos now..... but.... I don't know who or what I will be later..... I couldn't forgive myself if I turned on the peole I once protected..... if I turned on you.....

Focht glared at Slayer and started coughing. He was starting to get himself back together from that punch even though it hurt like hell to breath. He was still holding his chest where Slayer had hit and was trying to get back to his feet.

Zeno: *steps through the barrier right beside Focht* Oh... I've wanted to do this for a while. *He reaches to grab Focht, his hand sparking. He was going to charge Focht's body with an extremely high voltage, essentially making it feel like lightning bolts were going through him*
Slayer: *steps back and watches*
Than: *He seems to fall short of breath at that comment*....I-I.....*his eyes start to tear up* I'm so sorry......I can't call you my mother..... even though I know it would make you happy...... I..... *He just turns his face into her shoulder*

It's alright Thanatos. You don't have to... I know I'm not your real mother... and I could never replace her, nor would I try to. I know you love her with all your heart, just as I love you as my own reguardless of then title I hold.

My mother suffered so much indirectly because of me, and I could never truly help her. I just...... how can I suddenly turn around and call someone else, even if you were always there for me, my mother instead of her. I just..... I couldn't betray her like that..... even if you have every right to be called my mother..... *He lowers his head as if ashamed* Either way I feel like a traitor....

Anastasius Focht Focht is fried and slumps back against the barrier out cold. ((fun...... well, night.)) (( xp )) Zeno: stare Man.... that was too short to enjoy anything.... they always give out around me.. *He shrugs and pushes Focht over, walking off* Slayer: *places a hand on Focht's shoulder and vanishes with him. Focht was to be placed on the table in Mastema's small "lab"*

Just don't worry about it... I understand completely your feelings on this. Just being here is enough. Your mother has a very strong boy. Please give her my best next time you see her? Hold her tight and tell her how much you love her. Tell her what you feel inside your heart. She'll understand just as much as I do... I'm sure of it.
