Camwen Hi Lily! I hope the new heating system works well for you. Last night I dreamt that we had to demolish our house and rebuild it from the ground up. In the meantime we had to live in the wreckage of the old one. Very bizarre. My family joined a nighttime nature walk last night. It was at a Federal Wildlife Preserve that we only recently learned was about a 15 min drive from our house! I don't know how we didn't know about it. lol Anyway, it was really fun. It was pretty dark so instead of looking for animals we had to listen for them. We heard lots of frogs of course, but also some coyote and a few great horned owls. You have frogs in your area? So does that mean there's a swamp there? Either way...LUCKY!!! I LOVE frogs! They're not only tasty, they're pretty and funny to look at! rofl

Next week they start the drilling and then few weeks after that they'll connect all the components together. Looks like we'll be able to get it done just before the winter, which is nice but the drilling and stuff is bit nerving. Hopefully everything goes well. gaia_angelright

This zone is technically a temperate rain forest (Pacific Northwest). Tree frogs love it here. There are bullfrogs too but they are considered an invasive species.

Of course whenever that happens, some escape (or are let go on purpose because someone doesn't want the hassle anymore) and then they start to breed in the wild.

Yeah...kinda sucks how unnatural area wildlife comes to be.

humble_gypsy_traveller Yeah...kinda sucks how unnatural area wildlife comes to be. The real nasty invasive species here is blackberry. It's taking over everything. The only upside is that in the early fall it's easy to find lots of free berries everywhere.

Here's a thread from the main forums that lists the Halloween items so far.
http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/gaia-community-discussion/halloween-2k11-item-list/t.75515253/
Looks like when you trick or treat in the shops you don't automatically get the item. When your bag is full you have to then go search for Jack on the world map. razz

In other news... My g/f's (spiderman106) computer crashed over the weekend...and she's suspicious that it's my fault cuz I was the last one on it...though I never do anything with her computer in the way of downloading or going to sites other then here, facebook, pogo (a game site, if you didn't know), and gmail...so I don't know what happened. Nonetheless...I'll be attempting to either pay to get her computer fixed or get the extra cpu I have, fixed. That will seriously hinder on the vacation I have planned for her either in January or March (originally it was in March, but we've been given a suggestion to go in January cuz there will be good deals then). She didn't totally bring down the gauntlet on me by being all pissy though, so I don't mind replacing the computer. It's funny though...it's almost like something other worldly is giving me a sign to buy the laptop (that I'm letting her borrow once I buy it) sooner. I originally decided on buying it in mid November.

gaia_nitemareleft *twirls around in her fancy masquerade ball gown* They've made use for the good old world map in this event! Oh and have you checked the shop keepers costumes? They have new costumes this year and they look great! emotion_awesome Carls bit creepy though. Oh and computers. Yeah, I seem to have a magic touch at the moment to make everything fall apart when I touch it. I've been seriously like a walking disaster at my work place for the last few weeks so far. emotion_donotwant gaia_angelright

Sorry I've not been around for a few days. Just real life being very busy and stressful. Might be a couple more days before I'm back in full force.
