She rolled her eyes to that one. "You mean the hardly any? Please, don't be so dramatic, that's my job." Giggling lightly whether she wasted to or not before swatting back at him. "Don't call one of my bluff again. I can file these nails down so you get no fun from them, just like I can chop my hair off."

"So...perhaps the fact that Malik isn't Andallian is what is causing this to linger on this way? We know the females give off the pheromones, but maybe there needs to be some kind of response from the males as well. Malik can't give it so her body doesn't recognize the fact that she's taken. But since I'm not Andallian, your response never begins." Shaking her head and then nibbling on her lower lip as she thought about it. "I don't know of any problems between them but that doesn't mean they don't exist."
"You know my answer to that, Malikhai. I can't stay with you. And you know why." She didn't want to get into this because it would only end in the two of them fighting. She hated to fight with him. "So, I guess you're walking me home, tonight."
Kelligrin smirked back with a knowing nod. "Managed to get it on a bully just this morning. I figured I'd show you later today and you gave me the perfect opportunity. Thanks." Thus flashing the Inthara smile at the girls. "Can we buy you lovely ladies a drink?"
"Lyssie doesn't do humility well and you shouldn't be teaching her anything except illusions. It's not your place." Shaking his head. He knew the way his sister was and knew that it wouldn't matter what happened, she was going to do what she wanted to do. He crossed his arms and then tossed back that drink Malikhai had bought for him. "Doubt it. But you keep trying those methods and see where they get you."

"Well, I don't know about that part but who's to say that that isn't part of this mess either. Far as I know about that half is either females get the attention their biology demands, which doesn't even have to be sex or anything close to it mind you, or they keep it up." Shrugging lightly, "I mean, we both know they have no bedroom problems, they already have kids so her need to reproduce is satisfied, all I can think is that she's trying to keep him around her for some reason just that the usual chemical ways don't work on him." Blinking lightly at her, "She hasn't been off kilter?"
He however was not quite as satisfied. "Yes I know why, but the why wouldn't even be a factor if you let me deal with it." Shaking his head lightly. She was going to go home to the same thing and and no doubt the same thing would happen, and they'd continue to pretend nothing was going on. "After I get Zykariel's drunken self dragged home, I suppose I am." A tad bitter, but he couldn't help it...he'd fallen for this girl and yet was locked into that friend thing. Stupid women. "Would one night really hurt?"
"I think 'you're welcome' is in order then. You gotta teach me that, seems neat." Though he let his friends handle the girls, after all if he was offering to buy drinks, and the girls wanted them to join in...well Dhairiss wasn't one known for his self control, especially if it was something that he'd never heard of before.

"My place is to make her take her class seriously.by any means. and if that means giving her a nasty test that she isn't prepared for the possibilities of, then that's what I need to do."
settling down by Zykariel.
"there a reason why you chose to give up first place to someone without the real skill to compete?"
A slight grin.
"Don't you dare. just because I didn't force your hair to grow back out doesn't mean I won't with your nails."
chuckling some.
"well...why don't we getting dinner going at least...sevilin and zahara will probably be here soon."

"Forcing her to take on a role she could never possibly sustain is setting her up for failure. You want her to fail to teach her a lesson. Students don't learn that way, Cerrilia, or did you not learn that after struggling to understand what I had to teach you? Normally, I wouldn't care what methods you used with your students but you have pulled me into it and she is my little sister. Don't do it again. Encourage her, don't beat her down." He stared down into his empty glass and then shrugged. "Everyone deserves the thrill of winning once in their life. If it jumpstarts him to real training and he becomes competitive then that's even better."
"Could be..." She was trying to think of what she'd seen of Piper lately, which she was shocked to realize wasn't much. Ever since the teaching job had opened last year, Zahara had seen less and less of Piper. With her 'instincts' at full blast now, she saw none of Piper. "I...really don't know, Sevilin. Malikhai or Dhairiss or even Malik would be able to answer that better than I can."
"You'll only make things worse. I can't leave because it will only result in worse things. If you get involved, not only will it make things hard on you but they will become unbearable for me. You refuse to best your father because of respect. I refuse to leave my father because of respect. It's no different but you really want to make a distinction." Shaking her head and turning her face away. "I can't please you and them at the same time, Malikhai. Would you strike me if I didn't please you?"
"I'll do that. There's a few other points on the body that are just like that as well." He bought the girls drinks and ordered two for himself and Dhairiss though made sure both of theirs were non-alcoholic and the girls had only a bit of the poison in theirs. He didn't want to find out something untoward had happened because he'd plied them with alcohol until their reasoning was shot.

She gave him one of those 'oh so I've found the upper hand smirks', ruined of course by a giggle seconds later. A little sigh though and she nodded to him, "Hm, I suppose you've worn me out enough to let me into the general public without stalking your for a bit." Thusly getting herself up, a little show from such work outs but she was quite used to that by now. "And I'm sure you want to accost them both."
"You need to spend some time catching up with her." Because he knew that without social contact outside her family and the school, the woman would start driving everyone up a wall, herself included. "If anything, you do have a way of bluntly asking questions to get to the bottom of things." Chuckling lightly to that as they reached the fortress, pushing the door open for his wife.
"What do you think they'd follow you all over the underdark? Seems like that's more trouble than it's worth for them." Yes, they were apparently going to do this again. It had been months since their last fight but sometimes Malikhai just couldn't shut up about some things. "Respect? You don't show respect for someone who beats you. No matter what else they've done or what credit people think they are due." His voice with that hint of anger to hit he tried to control though her accusation was pushing him hard. "You honestly think I would hit you?! I have never and would never lay a hand on you in that way. And you know that." But no, she was going to go home and probably be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he was going to walk her there....how crappy was that. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he sighed. "I'm going to go get Zykariel, when we're going to take him home...then I'll take you home." As much as he hated to, and no matter how pissed he was.
Skulking back inside, he made his way through people and clapped a hand on Zykariel's shoulder, never minding the woman near him. "You're done, time to break it up. Either pick a girl you're going home with or come with me alone but you're leaving and this is over." Zykariel was sloshed, Kaelin and himself her fighting, and this just wasn't fun anymore." Looking over his shoulder as well to the younger boys, knowing he better look out for them too. "Inthara, D'vinn. Time to pack it in you two."
"Cool...taking people down by just poking them. That is so awesome." That sentence getting a giggle from the girls around them, not that he particularly minded. He had sniffed his drink lightly before deeming it safe and sipping on it as if he wasn't going to be getting another one and thus savoring it. But a blink and a look over to their brothers. "Short tonight."

It upset her to know that she'd abandoned the friendship that truly meant so much to her. She glanced at her husband for a long moment, still nibbling on her lower lip. He was right. She needed the answers and there was only one to get them. Shooting him a smile of thanks, she stepped into the cool interior and gestured to the first serf she saw. "Inform Lord and Lady D'vinn that Lord and Lady Inthara would like an audience with each respectively."
"They bore me, gave me life, have sheltered me, clothed me and given me what I need. All they ask in return is the completion of a few simple tasks. When I do them incorrectly, there are consequences. Your father acts the same way. He requests things of you and if you do not give them, there is a penalty to be paid."
He'd taken it wrong...which she hadn't expected. Her voice grew extremely quiet and she simply sighed. "No, you would never strike me. And therein lies which one I must please and why." He was angry with her once more and she didn't know how else to make him understand. He'd never understand and they would continue to fight like this. Her decisions were made. But...she didn't like it. She hated it when he looked at her that way, as if she were too simple to understand. Telling him her reasoning never helped either and for a moment she wondered just why she still tried. Perhaps it would be better to stop altogether.
He sensed the change in his best friend's demeanor instantly. Something had happened, something had gone wrong. Zykariel never put a woman above his friend and he bid Cerrilia a pleasant night and walked over to the younger boys instead. "Come on, you two. Mom will skin you alive if you aren't back home soon."
Laughing as well, he frowned as partying abruptly ended by the older males of the family. Sometimes it sucked being younger. "Fine." Telling the girls goodnight, he walked out of the bar, not particularly upset but not pleased either. He knew better than to poke when Malikhai had that look about him, though. He'd seen it before on his uncle as well.
"I can take the boys if you want to take Kaelin, Khai. I'm not as sloshed as you think I am. Besides, I'm staying at my parent's house tonight, anyway. I heard Kit is sick."

"That's still always is nice to hear." Indeed, the last years had been kind to him, unlike those of previous. But now it was merely a waiting period, occupying himself by poking at his wife some quite literally.
He understood what she meant but at the same time, he understood himself as well. It didn't matter how much someone did for you if they were just going to betray you in the end. Malikhai still was under the rule of his father and sometimes yes he still got into trouble, mostly for childish acts he'd pull. But Malik never hit him. In fact, the only reason Malik would probably ever hit him was if Khai hit his mother and that was never going to happen. This frustrated him to no end. And this was not the first time he was tempted to abuse the power that he did have. Save she would resent him for it, or so she implied.
Drawn out of his thoughts though by his best friend's voice he blinked lightly, surveying him and then the younger boys in turn. "Which is why you didn't want the party at your place, so you wouldn't have to clean up." Made perfect sense. Brushing a hand back through his hair he sighed lightly. "Fair enough, since you're going home. Just be careful, and do me a favor and translocate Dhairiss home...he doesn't need to be prancing around the underdark at night. I'll see you tomorrow." No doubt. But that settled, he headed back outside to Kaelin. "Come on, before I have you home too late."
He rolled his eyes as his brother got all protective over him but let it pass. That was the way Khai was, and dad as well. Mom was a tad less worrisome he supposed. Which was probably weird, but he was weird himself so it was normal. "Khai's not happy." Blinking to Zykariel then, "Can you walk straight?"

"I imagine Zahara more likely wants to accost you. You haven't been seeing much of each other lately, and you know how she gets."
getting dressed, a little slower from his back but walking to his wife and giving her a kiss.
"and hopefully you have an appetite by now."
"Alright. I won't do that anymore, if you get her to actually either drop my course entirely, or at least make sure she's on time. I don't want to risk my job over your sister's stubborness."
but she let malikhai take him away, turning her attention tot he general gathering and enjoying the little bit of party left before it died out without it's star attractions.

"Zahara accosts me about life, you accost her about my health, then she accosts me about my health and you throw in your own ideas to her ideas." Giggling as she got herself up and dressed, grabbing her brush and pulling it through her hair to put some sort of order back into it with a little shrug. She knew how things were with Zahara. "She's busy, its understandable." Smirking at him lightly with another giggle. "After all of that, I think I could eat more than you can right now."

Chuckling lightly and shaking his head, opening the door for her in time to get greeted by a serf telling them that the inthara's were already here. well wasn't that for good timing.
"Well it appears they are already here...so might was well go be happy and pleasent and giggly for you. and if you think you can eat more thrn me, then we'll test that too. I'll have them serve you the same portions they do me."

He really was a silly man but he was hers and that's what really mattered. Most of his literal pokes were met with giggles and playful shoving back since meeting the D'vinn's that way was less than professional.
He was just never going to accept that this is the way that it had to be, was he? She didn't like it anymore than he did but there was no other option. Watching him come back out, she silently stepped up to his side. "I don't want you to be mad at me, Malikhai."
"I'm fine." Not really but he would be. He just had to let the starkness of the Underdark wash his head clear. "Your brother is having girl problems." Which was pretty normal for him. Focusing his power, he scribed the appropriate rune on Dhairiss' forehead. "Bye, Dhairiss. Let your parents know your brother is on his way." And then he turned to his own brother and took care of the two of them.

"They're always prompt." Giggling and nodding at him, "We'll see." Thusly the two heading downstairs to meet the other. Meeting them with a smile, and a giggle of course. "Well well, it's good to see you both. Work related or not."
He gave a nod to them both, promptly pulling a pack of papers from his belt and holding them out to the elf. "Reports."
Well, he wasn't going to deny that he was angry. He knew that. But a light look to her and he was quiet for the most part. "I just don't like seeing you hurt." Shoving his hands in his pockets and navigating the streets.
"My brother is always having girl problems." Rolling his eyes to that one. "Lead onward then oh substitute brother.

All business once more, Zahara gave her friend a smile and threw an arm around her shoulders to pull her off away from the men. "Piper, I'm trying to understand any reason that this state your in has gone on for so long. Sevilin mentioned that you and Malik might be having problems...of a sort. Is that possibly why?"
"I know, and you really don't know how much it means to me that you care enough to get angry about it. But I really do want you to understand and I don't know any other way to help you do so..."
Zykariel walked in the house and shoved his little brother towards the stairs. Early to end the party, sure, but it was still late and young elves needed their reverie. Encountering Faate in the kitchen, he dropped a kiss on the surprised elf's cheek and gave her a wink. "Kit's sick?"
"Yes. He came home early from school-" Shaking her head. "Zykariel! He's in reverie. Where do you think you're going?"
"To see him. Want to stop me? Come do it." And he hurried upstairs before his sister could call his bluff with some kind of rune trick he didn't want to know she could do. He needed to check on his younger sister, too. Thus, into his little brother's room, hovering in the doorway for a moment.

She blinked as she was pulled away in a business like yet casual manner. "Problems? No, we're not having any problems." Not that she knew of anyway or that she could immeddiately name. "Why would Sevilin think that has anything to do with the whole flushed and giggly thing.
"If you would just let me solve it my way, there would be nothing for you to have to do or worry about." But she wasn't convinced of that so they were arguing back and forth and no one would win.
He stopped in the kitchen next to Faate, blinking as one fussed at the other but let it pass and turned his attention to Faate. "You're not all mad at me are you?"
Of course like any young elf, reverie was hard for him. Even harder when he wasn't feeling well and he was tossing and turning some in his bed. And as any child when someone was around, especially clingy ones when they were sick, they seemed to instantly wake up. Rubbing at his eyes, he looked to his older brother.
