"But why not?" Terryn pouted, crossing her arms like a child. "Do you not wnat ot win?" She yawned, looking out the window. The sun was just starting ot set but the wine made her very tired.

Marcus sighed, and pulled Terryn into him. He couldn't help but smile, though, when he caught sight of Terryn's expression. "I'm happy enough."

"Are you sure?" Terryn yawned again and curled up into his chest, nuzzling into his shirt. "I do not want to make you unhappy." She kissed him on the shoulder. "That would mean I do not win."

"You've made me happy," Marcus reassured her, kissing the top of her head. "Do not worry. You win."

"Alright...as long as I win." Terryn shut her eyes lazily, feeling nice and warm and pleasantly buzzed. "I love you Marcus..."

Marcus smiled. "I won again," he answered, setting his head against the window and beginning to doze off.

Terryn had a lovely little catnap that lasted the rest of the ride. When she finally woke up, the sky was full of stars and moonlight. Normally, Terryn would have secretly enjoyed the scene, but she had a terrific headache that made her want to shut her eyes and never look at the light again.

Marcus woke with a dull throb in his temples. He tapped Terryn cautiously. He was almost certain that she was awake, but she was probably in a foul mood. He had to suppress a chuckle when he remembered her antics just an hour or two again. Sir Chicken. Marcus had never seen a girl quite that drunk before.

Terryn groaned, grabbing Marcus as he tapped her. "Why in the good Lord's name did you let me do that?" She whimpered as the pain in her head spiked momentarily.

"Quite frankly, I don't think you've done it often enough," answered Marcus. "And I think you would have stopped me if I had tried to interfere." He opened up the coach door tentatively. "I'll take you back in," he told her, sliding his arms under her and carefully pulling her out of the coach. "Don't move about."

Terryn was more than happy to oblige, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her head in his chest as he walked. "Where are we exactly?" She whispered, not able to stand the sound of her own voice at the moment.

Marcus looked down curiously. "Just at home. I assumed that you would like to rest some." With some difficulty, he managed to open the front door. Chester, good man that he was, helped him with the key. A few moments later, he set Terryn down onto a bed. "Water?"

Terryn nodded, covering her eyes with her hand as she tried to get comfortable. "Forgive me for ruining our honeymoon." She grimaced, rolling onto her right side and burying her face in the pillow.

Marcus shook his head, even though Terryn couldn't see him. "It's nothing." A few moments later, he returned with a goblet of water. "And it's not as though it is over yet," he added lightly. That was good.

Terryn nodded, reaching out blindly until she felt the glass and took it. "That is true...what time is it?" It couldn't ahv ebeen later than 9 or 10 PM, seenig as how the she thought she remembered the sun being up when they were on their way back.
