"No problem, your other brother and sisters will get the same thing really when they get older, but for now I decided to start with you." A small chuckle from him before he stood up. "Now just be careful with it, I know you are well advised in how to use one to an extent but just use it when you absolutely need to okay?" A small smile as he took what was on the table and tucked them underneath his arm. "You'll probably need something to take care of the leather handle but I bet that stuff won't be too hard to find. Anyways I need to go see your mother, I have something for her and your brother, so enjoy." And so with that Galesen left the boy to what he was going to be doing and headed on over to where Zahara was, when he reached the door he gave a small knock and entered. "Zahara, it's good to see you."

She'd just been about to drift off into reverie land since she still tired out easily but Galesen's appearance woke her back up. "You too, Gale. Come on in and have a seat." Pushing up against the pillows, she studied him closely as memories of all sorts swamped her. "What can I do for you?"

"As well as to be expected. I have some of our underdark delicacies being prepared, why don't you come with me to teh kitchen, and Sevilin will come there as well and you both and talk. wether he likes it or not."

smirking lightly.

Galesen blinked as he noticed that Zahara was going to go off into reverie. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know you were going to bed." But it seemed she didn't mind so he walked over to the bed and sat down with a small smile. "Well since I'm back from Andal there are a few things I'm going to be doing before I move up there." A pause as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small case. "I already have gotten the girls a gift each, Zykariel has just gotten his gift too, it's a knife and I only got it for him for protection. Anyway, it only leaves you and your youngest so..." Smiling he opened the case to reveal an amber ring. "Saw this at the market and I thought of you and your love for all things amber." A small chuckle as he handed it to her and then rested a package on her lap. "And this is for Kelligrin, wooden figures to play with, I think he will enjoy then greatly." He looked at her for a moment before he pressed a hand to her cheek and frowned. "Looks like you've been through a lot, are you alright?"

He did what was asked of him, before hugging on her happily. She was nice and he liked her and she spent time with him which was always a plus.

"He's not bothering you, is he?" Asking as he wandered fully into the nursery, only to have his brother get up and toddle to him, latching to his legs. Reaching down a hand, he pet at his brother's hair as he looked at what they had been doing. "Pretty good sculptor too. You're just the artistic type all around, aren't you?"

"You mean he actually listen's to you?" Chuckling lightly as he gave Yinn a final scratch and followed Malilk to the kitchen to indeed wait to have this conversation with Sevilin...or whatever was to happen.

A nod to his wife, leaving her with Piper before he headed out of the room. He had the feeling this would not be pleasant but he stopped at Faate, giving her a smile and brushing a hand over her cheek affectionately as he took the book from her with her other hand. "I will, do me a favor and check on Kelligrin for me? I have a little more work to do and then we'll sit down for a while." Patting her on the shoulder before heading off to the kitchen as instructed. Oh joy, he muttered something under his breath in underdark speech before just giving a sigh. "Can we make this quick?"

"Quick as possible, for the both of us. It's about Kytael."

"And we're done." No. He did not want to talk of Kytael, of all people.

"No, your not done, Sevilin. sit down, and listen to him. I know the circumstances, and you are going to sit down and listen and learn. even if I have to physically restrain you. or so help me rune you into the seat. And don't think I won't, even though we both know the cost."

settling down while food was laid out. jhereg and underdark varieties of fish and such.

He narrowed his eyes at Malik, then just sat down at the seat farthest from Tyyrael, setting the book on the table. Listening more out of respect for Malik and wanting to get this over, than doing it to be nice and such. And apparently, Tyyrael had opened his mouth to Malik about the past...Sevilin should have killed both brothers, but frankly he had been young at the time nad uneasy with it, seeing as Tyyrael was already a master rune mage then. He regretted it now because here sat the man, speaking of another he longed to forget. "You'd get a nose bleed." At a time like this, it felt better to pick at Malik's unconditioned to runing prone to hemmorage self.

Tyyrael made Sevilin sit and simmer, picking and trying at foods and what not before looking down the table once more. "Kytael is dying."

"Good." No, he held no love for the man that betrayed him on the most basic of levels, especially when he had done so to cover his own skin. He had full capability to protect himself and Sevilin and he chose to be selfish and betray an elf who was still in Andal a child.

He frowned down that table, but said nothing to the harsh words. He knew Sevilin's resentment ran deep and he had the right to feel that way. Clearing this throat, "Yes well...as you know, when Master Rune Mages either retire or indeed are passing they pass on all the secrets they kept to themselves." Pausing for a time to let that sink in.

Malik crossed his arms and looked between the two of them, keeping mostly to a mediator's role here. He knew this was not easy for either of them, but mostly was playing good host, pour both of them some of the really good tier'dal wine from his basement stores. though he did give a whispered command to one of the servants who nodded and left at a quick pace.

"And?" What was Kytael trying to buy his trust back with fun rune secrets? Admittedly, that was the way of things in the rune mage world though. However quiet greeted him and he realized that he was being forced to say more.A frustrated noise from him, "I would think such thoughts and plans be your doing rather than his."

If anyone came even close to ruffling Tyyrael's demeanor, it was Sevilin. Mostly born from disrespect and the like from Sevilin himself, but Tyyrael was trying his best to be civil. Tier'dal wine was a tad strong for him and made him pause for a moment, but at a time like this the burning distraction felt good. "Not mine at all. You know you didn't kill my brother for a reason and that reason was so that he'd have to suffer with both his newfound inabilities, the loss of his runing altoether, and the guilt that weighs heavy on him for what he did to you." However, Tyyrael also has a trump card. "Which...you wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for me. You owe me a debt."

That had Sevilin bolt up from his seat, palms slapping against the table and leaning in, his voice taking on a darker tone. No, not easy to rile Sevilin right now with all that had happened and this was just one more thing. "I owe you nothing. I never asked you to help me then." b*****d bridgade leader was using underhanded tactics and infuriated him. "What do you want from me? I'm not apologizing for anything I've done to him. I could care less."

He was calm to contract Sevilin's anger, but at the same time Tyyrael was right. A frown and a point at Sevilin with a slight motion to his finger. "Sit." The other rune mage plopping down in his seat as he had been pulled by runes to do so. He was sure that only made Sevilin more angry but he was not going to have him about to jump across the table at himself. "He doesn't expect an apology. He knows that telling you sorry does not ease your pain, and one from you or your forgiveness for that matter will not ease his. It does not change the matter that you are his best student, brief as the time he instructed you was." Best and last, consequently. But still the best. A nod to the book that was on the table by Sevilin. "That contains everything that he did not teach you. He always wanted to see you be the one to acheive Master ranking. A shift in the hierarchy of things to perhaps set a mistake we made right."

The mistake they made...when they founded Andal. Kytael and Tyyrael Andal, brothers whom left a home that had fallen into chaos, with a magic craft and ideals they were privy to, and had come across a place that seemed forgotten from the rest of the world. Mostly forgotten because of it's planar location they they had only come to with random rune messing in translocation movements. They build the plane's populace from the ground up, seeking out others, correcting mistakes when made...but they didn't plan for those called drow to be the ones to fall back into the normal ways. All others broke from what wrongs they had been involved in...and the Obsidians had for a time too, until a story and an old ideal tainted their heads and they broke from the rest of them, becoming nothing more than what they were before. The brothers perhaps should have outcasted them then but that went againast everything they believed in when they came there.

He snickered. "Surface elf wishful thinking. Things are what they are."

"As Malik as said though...you could have had anything you wanted in Andal. No, I don't think you were afraid to take it...you just did not want to go through with a deed that would leave you nothing but a stoic hateful killer. Gratifying as it may feel, you know it wouldn't fix anything personally for you." Another gesture to the book, "No one is forcing you to learn anything. You can burn the secrets he has to offer you if you wish, or you an embrace them and become an unrivaled Master."

Malik watched Sevilin a moment. it was of course painfully obvious what choice Malik would have sevilin make, the one that would benefit his house the most. but he gave a glance over to the brigade master.

"Everything to your liking on the food side of things?"

Though turning his attention to Sevilin.

"You do this task for me, Sevilin...learn to be unrivaled even on Andal, and I'll owe you a debt. Even if that would mean delivering Khavier to your feet."

Glancing at the Brigade master.

"Speaking of which. There is something I want to show you that I've been working on. both of you, in fact. your combined runic expertise, and of course the legalities aspect."

Now for Sevilin, he could be obstinate forever if he wanted to just to spite the two brothers. And yet, he had always had a need for knowledge and it was rarely sated. This book wasn't helping the matter. Red eyes watched the inanimate object for a few moments before they moved to Malik as he was trying to sway him into reading what was in it's covers as well. For Sevilin it wasn't about being unrivaled, just the knowledge of the craft that his life more or less was based around and survived in.

"Yes, Malik. An experience to say the least." Filling the space of silence that Sevilin had made in his contemplation. Not to mention trying to avoid commenting on Malik's comment of Khaiver. He knew the relationship between the two Obsidians as well, but kept quiet. Sometimes Brigade procedural obligations had to be overlooked in the best interest of other things. This was one. He couldn't help a chuckle, "Legalities? Now there's an aspect."

"Fine." That was all he had to say on the subject they had started on this...he wouldn't do it because Malik was bribing him, or because Tyyrael asked, or because Kytael wanted to make up for his own travesty. He would learn what the pages had to offer for himself and to protect those he held close. Not for anyone else. Another look to Malik though. "Like?" Malik always had something up his sleeves.

"Something to make Mahlari and Khavier's lives miserable....indirectly, of course. I've been doing some experimenting at attempts to fuse the fields of necromancy and rune magery. And Khavier, in his arrogance, gave me certain tools to use."

Of course reffering to long forgotton duo that had been accused of training Kaden. they'd suffered indeed...but Malik had been working on other plans for them...plans involving Requias.

"Not interested." At least the messing with Mahlari and Khaiver parts...nope, would just prefer to stay away from them and anything that involved them.

"I wouldn't be surprised." He didn't like the thought of Malik playing once again in his plane's politics at all. Last thing Tyyrael wanted was an upset Mahlari...he'd rather just wait her out till she was off the throne or ousted from it for whatever reason. "But I'll bite...what do you want to show?"
PostPosted: Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:47 pm

"Very simple. I have two Requias souls in my possession. don't ask how, you don't want to know. but they, I understand, had some influence in forming the requias division of Obsidians. I'm looking to put thier essence in new bodies, stronger, fiercer...crafted, rather then born or bred. I've been looking to runically enhance them, but when I've tried even simple ones, I can't get the necromantic fusion of soul to vessel to work properly."

Glancing at Sevilin.

"And I know you don't want to have anymore dealings with them. But I know they fear you. I know that they know someone in your family is still alive, because that's their suspect in the rest of the Inthara house on Andal collapsing on itself. I intend to give them something else to keep them occupied with. namely giving Requias a little bit of aid in being able to fight back."

He steepled his fingers, watching Malik for a moment before he said anything. "So...you want to put two souls into crafted bodies and...send then back to Andal to strengthen Requias, correct?" Because that's what it sounded like but there was a problem in that plan too. "No matter what Requias has, they aren't going to wage war or such things on Daimos."

"The Andalian division of the Inthara house, collapsed on itself because the oldest sister isn't around to control everyone else. It's a power struggle that will burn out before the end of the year." Borrowing a line from Malik, "Don't ask how." Didn't care to rehash how he started the domino effect by his own doings. But all in all, Malik's intentions were good as he was looking to keep the higher ups from investigating any of that.
