She buried her face once more in Alice's hair, eyes beaming a bit. This is
exactly what her parents didn't want her doing... and yet... it felt nice.
*Puts this here for fun* Me too, Allen, me too. ))"Sure thing, kid!" Kyle exclaimed with a happy grin, tightening his grip slightly and rushing across the ice once more. Taking the longest way back had been his plan from the beginning, partially because he didn't want to see the smile leave her face so soon. It also seemed like a good idea after he'd decided that pushing it to a dangerous speed would make the ride all that more enjoyable for the young girl.
With a quick shout of "Hold on!" as her only warning, Kyle started sprinting as fast as he could, disregarding the ice completely. He maintained that speed for about five seconds before the inevitable happened and his feet started slipping every which way, the arm that wasn't being held onto waving frantically in an attempt to regain his balance. "Ack...!" his eyes widened as they continued to slide forward, doing everything in his power to prevent himself from landing on the ice. In the end he lost his balance, his feet slipping forward as he unconsciously directed Samantha around him and let go, finally falling on his backside with a hollow thump. "Son of a-!" Kyle began when he'd realized the girl was still sliding, cutting himself off and gritting his teeth together in pain. That was going to be sore for a week.

Apparently since my grandparents can't pack up their golf clubs and head down to Missouri, (weather was not golf-approved) they decided to check out two rooms for this weekend at a hotel close by. They invited our family and my aunt's to come and go as we please to swim and stuff. And, since they thought it was too much trouble to move their CPAP machines, well, we can stay there overnight, because they're not going to sleep there.
