Kiahpup The small laugh from Sil caused the corner of her mouth to quirk up, glad that the secret had nothing to do with life and death situations. “Just making sure... When someone is that serious, your mind starts to go places…,” Kiah shrugged, laughing a little, “that is true… would have made it a lot easier on you, though, if that was the case.”
Leg bouncing in anticipation, Kiah straightened up and gave Sil her undivided attention, her hands on her knees as if she was bracing for the impact of the secret. The hesitance that the other woman displayed made it almost painful to wait, though she could imagine that she would feel the same if she was ever in a position that required her to spill an uncomfortable secret. She nearly stopped Sil before she opened her mouth, but was instead rendered speechless when she finally stated what she’d been hiding. It seemed a bit… anticlimactic after the entire production of getting the words out in the open, but there were probably important reasons on why it was to remain a secret. “That… honestly doesn’t sound like something that should be held against you…,” she stated in confusion, unable to keep the small smile off of her face at Sil’s suddenly rosy cheeks. She didn’t give in to the urge to comment on it, because of the situation, but it was a shame since she’d never seen the older woman so embarrassed before.
Kiah nodded in understanding, letting her continue on while she thought. Having a secret relationship- in the Order, no less- was difficult in itself when it was essential. But when you had to worry about some idiot revealing them for over six months… she didn’t know how they resisted the urge they probably felt to murder the sandy haired man. When Sil had trailed off, conveying in her tone the amount of stress and worry she’d endured up until this point, the blonde slid closer to her and reached a hand out to rest on her shoulder comfortingly.
“I… don’t exactly understand why you need to keep this under wraps, but I get that it’s important that nobody knows… so I swear to you right now that I’ll make sure that he won’t tell a soul. He’s not the only one with leverage,” she grinned, letting her hand fall back to her lap. The expression on her face grew serious once again, and Kiah watched Sil as she put up two fingers. “Two questions, though… Has Kyle made you do anything extremely awful, and…,” she paused a moment to work out what she wanted to say before continuing, “this might sound a little strange, but I promise it’ll help… if anyone knew, would you two be able to stay together, let alone see each other?” It probably wasn’t the most confusing question, but if she could compare it to a similar situation, it was possible that Kyle wouldn’t need much convincing. “It’s really hard to explain…” Sil sighed softly, finding that as she feared the situation was trivialized by how simple it sounded. For most people a relationship was simple—two parties who cared about each other were generally able to pursue one another freely unless scandalous circumstances were afoot. As far as she knew, she and Lavi had no part in any dastardly scandals of any kind; they were simply yet desperately in love. Perhaps much more complicated than the love itself was the fact that they were not allowed to be. However, as hopeless as their situation sometimes felt, Sil felt like a weight had been lifted off of her chest as she uttered those freeing words to Kiah. As embarrassed as she could get in the face of romantic scrutiny, knowing that she was now able to talk to someone about what was going on eased a terrible ache on her heart. It was one she was so used to that she only realized its absence now that it was gone. “I can try to make sense of it but it’s a little confusing… Lavi’s always hazy on details—”
Her lips pursed together as the two fingers were raised, ceasing whatever light she might have been able to shine on the situation. Her eyes rested intently on the blonde as she questioned, eager to help Kiah understand in any facet she could. They were in a delicate predicament as it was, and having another ignorant party would harm them far more than it would help them. “Kyle usually asks me to do b***h work of some kind, but of course, I’ve managed to get him back in one way or another… I just can’t help it,” she grimaced guiltily, knowing good and well that she should have kept her mouth shut and been a little subservient maid to him for the sake of keeping her and Lavi safe. Her pride had led her straight into this situation. “After the whole chalk gun training, though… He told me he wanted to strut around the castle wearing a French Maid outfit of all things… on Christmas." While Sil might have felt guilty for folding under such a request, as she continued onward and made solid points, the surety and passion grew in her voice. "I know that doesn’t sound like much, but this is my home and I have every right to want to keep my dignity intact. I thought… If I folded to that ridiculous request, who knows what other degrading things he might force me to do in the future? I know Lavi wouldn't have wanted me to go through with it either."
As for the second question, her eyes dropped to the floor as she thought of the possible terrifying consequences of their relationship exposed to Lavi's mentor. The frown on her lips quivered in a way that almost seemed to hint of tears, but her eyes remained dry. "If a certain person found out, it's very likely he wouldn't be seeing any of us anymore, let alone me."

Kiah simply tilted her head slightly, wondering how complicated the situation could be. Not that Sil needed to provide an explanation- shouldn’t have to, if she didn’t want to after having to put up with Kyle-, but the blonde genuinely wanted to understand why it needed to be kept under wraps. It just seemed like their relationship should be respected by the members of the Order simply because they loved each other, and nothing else should matter. Of course, life was never fair. Kiah wondered if it had something to do with Order regulations, but could come up with nothing on her own. “Is it just because of something only Lavi has to deal with, then? Nobody else has to hide?” she questioned, wondering if Sil herself even knew all the details.
As the older woman listed out the things he’d done, not to mention how she got revenge, Kiah couldn’t help but give her a guilty smile. “I suppose having me help with training and whatnot didn’t exactly help your case…” Though she felt awful if that pushed Kyle to doing something worse, she couldn’t help the feeling of satisfaction for helping to put him in his place. However, when Sil revealed the latest command from the airhead himself, all she could feel was a cold surge of anger. “He told you to wear a French Maid outfit?!” she nearly yelled, quickly shutting her mouth and letting the other woman finish. “You’re completely right… you shouldn’t have to do any of that. I just can’t believe... I guess I never thought that he sink that low…,” Kiah shook her head, steadily losing any respect that might have been possible for him to salvage. It was easy to accept Sil’s story because of the desperation in her tone and Kyle’s insensitive attitude, but she was hoping that it would take virtually no effort to convince him that he was doing something wrong.
Eyes widening in horror, Kiah stared at the Sil, as if she was expecting it to be some kind of joke. It was serious enough for Lavi to have to move to a different Branch altogether, or was it something else? She caught the quiver on the brown haired girl’s lips which confirmed that there would be no punch line, moving hesitantly to sit next to her on the bed. “s**t…,” she let loose a rare curse and wrapped her arm around her shoulders, more tentative than when Sil herself had done it earlier. “Who’s the one that wouldn’t allow it? And just… why?” The older Bookman came to mind, and Kiah wondered if it had something to do with that fact that Lavi was his apprentice. She knew that he was a Bookman as well, but she couldn’t say she knew what that meant.

Kiahpup "As long as you don't touch anything in the science department, you'll be fine," he said as a general warning, not noticing her closer proximity. Kyle wouldn't admit that Komui was as deranged and dangerous as most people made him out to be, but he would be the first to say that exposure to some of the things in the castle were bound to have undesired effects, especially in the room where most of those things were made. "I'm pretty sure her room is this way..." He continued to walk deeper into the lab, ignoring the glares from people working there and the watchful eyes of Reever, who knew of his unusual... partnership with the Supervisor.
"Here it is," Kyle announced when he open a door into a very large room, shadows dancing across the walls due to the fluctuating glow from the Innocence, "hey, Hebaka!" Leading Samantha to the raised platform in the middle of the room, he waved to the large woman covered in translucent tendrils made of Innocence, already rising to meet them once she sensed the girl’s own Innocence in her arms. The room steadily brightened once she was situated at their level."Oh, it is... you...Kyle Ganz...," the woman spoke, seeming to look in their direction even though her lips and nose were the only features left uncovered by her Innocence. "My name... is Hevlaska..." It was obvious even through her calm demeanor that Kyle wasn't on her list of favorite people, but she continued on respectfully when she caught sight of his small companion. "Ahh... Komui told me... there was to be... a new Exorcist... What is your name... little one?" Hevlaska spoke slowly as she usually did, staying where she was in case a sudden movement would scare the young girl. ((Omg, Kyle. Don't trust him Nala! D: ))
The child frowned beneath Alice's hair before remembering her manners... Even though the woman? looked nothing like a human- Well. Samantha couldn't describe her thoughts as she looked over her.
"My name is Samantha- And this is Alice." She gave a curtsy before holding Alice out once more. "Are you the one who checks the Synchronization rate?"
The girl blinked. There was an odd... calming air around the being though and she lowered Alice, staring up at the woman.

(( Kyle: NONE OF YOU CAN STOP ME NOW!!! >: D *Evil laughter*
LAVI. LAVI. LAVI. My text colors are your favorite combination! : D
FFFFFFF, I'm headed to bed, though... orz Goodnight you guys! <3 ))
"It is... a pleasure to meet you... Samantha...and Alice...," Hevlaska answered, appreciating the polite gesture as the little girl curtsied. She was quick to deduce that the doll was the Innocence, though she didn't rush to examine it as she had with most Exorcists. "Yes... I am also... an Exorcist as well... though I am a bit... different..."
The young girl seemed to calm a bit, so Hevlaska brought a wispy tendril closer to the girl slowly, asking, "May I...?"
Behind Samantha, Kyle silently sulked. "I never got a warning when you wanted to check my Synchronization..."

(Tentacle raapppee skldafshdjf -SHOT-)
The young child blinked at the tendril- it was unlike anything she had ever seen before. Though her eyes only glanced between the woman and the appendage, she showed little emotion, although it would be inhuman to not feel any nervousness at all. With a small gulp, she nodded. "You may."
Be brave, Be brave.
The words once more echoed through her head. While she wasn't scared of the gentle giant, the things that had happened- the Akuma mainly, kept her alert, and a little scared.

(( SHHHHHHHHH!!! Jez, you just lost the game where everyone internally laughs and waits to see who calls it out! D: LOL ))
With a small nod to Samantha, the large woman gently picked the small girl up, more wispy tendrils helping to comfortably support her weight. Though the girl didn't making any timid movements to show her nervousness, Hevlaska was aware that this procedure made all Exorcists slightly uneasy, and as such she tried to obtain her Synchronization Rate quickly. She probed the doll first and then connected with Samantha, examining their bond and coming to a rapid conclusion. The feeling of the tendrils crawling under her skin only remained for a few minutes before Hevlaska returned her to Kyle's side, making sure to set her down carefully after her ordeal.
"Samantha... you have a 54%... Synchronization rate with... Alice...," she announced, "A bit more... training and you'll... be equal to Kyle..." The translucent woman refused to smirk at his expense, though it was clear to the trained eye that she was fighting it.
"How bad was it?" Kyle asked as she was set down, scowling a bit at Hevlaska. "I'm training, too, you know... you haven't checked my rate for quite a while, anyway." Turning his attention to Samantha, he smiled in encouragement, saying, "But 54% is pretty good for a new Exorcist! Good job!"
