*shakes head* No. I mean the fact that she's been being raped for more years than she can remeber.
I have recently became good freinds with a girl who was sexually abused as a child. She offered some insight into her psyc as to the matter. I've had to reform Aella's character, as I realized that there is no way this couldn't have had an effect on her.

Which of course makes innocent affection seem like some horrible advance on her.

Like you couldn't imagin.
About a week after telling me all this, I was eating lunch with her when she told me she had to get something off her chest. She told me she was surprised by my reaction to her abuse. In 15 years, there has only been three of us (two girls that happened to be with me when she told us her story) who were not disgusted with her, afraid of her, or who hated her. Can you imagine? She's been rejected for 15 years....

...that's some ******** up people she's been around then. Who the hell would treat her like that or act to her like that for something of that nature that happened to her? Everyone who were disgusted/afraid/hate her need to be beat severly.

The things they said to her, the things the authorities did to her...she was in foster homes most pf her life cause her parents just weren't around. She was found beaten and when she was brought to the police office (cuts still bleeding and everytihng) they made her strip and had five MEN take photographs for evidence to put her attacker away.
He never did get put away though....they couldn't convict the man unless they proved that she was actually sexually abused, and the five men tried to hold her down so they could do a pap test. Five men couldn't hold down a 12 year old girl, she struggled so bad. In the end they gave up, and man went off scott free.
I'm happy to be the one to support her, but I am sad for her to have had to wait so long for people like to come around.

One of my friends was hurt. No one has ever seen more rage in my eyes. It scared people.
By nature, I am protective.

For the first time, I actually felt like seriously maiming someone.
And this girl is the sweetest thing....makes me sad and angry at the same time.

Life is, nothing can change that, but the future has not been, that is not fixed.
