Broog looked up from his work and gave a nod, before putting on his gear and resting his hammer on his shoulder. and that's where he headed, at a quick double trot. wouldn't take him long with his pace to get to sevilin's home, and once there, stopped at Sevilin and stood still as stone, waiting for instructions. Sevilin didn't call on him often, and when he did, he knew sevilin's reasons were better to find out before assumptions.

Yes the silence of their new friend was indeed disturbing. His gaze stayed on him though his head did tilt in his wife's direction, showing that he was indeed listening to her despite not looking at her. "He's in the playpen and Broog won't be coming in anyway...we're fine out here if you want to go to him." Then frowning though, wearing a much less severe level of anger on his face to contrast what was whipping up inside of him like waves in the wind. "He should know the difference and indeed realize what he is doing." Of all the things his son could do, if he was involved in this then so help that boy, Sevilin may outwardly show anger to the boy in perhaps what would be the first time ever. Eyes sideglanced lightly though at the heavy footsteps of the ogre that had quickly made his way there, one of the few beings that did know the way to where Sevilin lived. "Glad you're prompt." Jerking his head to the elf on the ground. "We have a visitor...and apparent'y, he wants to hurt mistress Piper." Only saying it because he knew how to trigger the ogre. He almost had as much irritation at that set of words than Malik did. "Why don't you make him comfortable back at the fortress?"

Worried, she glanced at the house again and shook her head. Zykariel was still out there and this elf had companions. Her son was well-known and there were plenty of enemies who would like to see Zykariel Inthara removed from the racing circuit, permanently. "But he doesn't. He still has much to learn, Sevilin. He didn't grow up the way you did." Too fast, violently, ready at any and all times to attack and defend himself. Aside from a few spills and minor battling, Zykariel hardly even knew real pain. "Consider this your opportunity to teach him." Yes, she should probably go back inside and comfort her youngest who wasn't pleased. Not screaming yet, but going to be very soon. Glaring at the stranger, she spat on him then turned to walk away.

Okay...Ogre meant trouble. big trouble. But he was too far from Sevilin for the dart to work well...but not too far from his wife. especially since she loved that little to no covering clothing, unlike her husband dressed in leathers. so he spat the little dart at her back. might buy him some time later.

The ogre looked down at the magically bound elf, and grabbed him by the head, literally, and picked him up, applying probably very uncomfortable pressure, before dropping him by tuggin gthe hood and mask combo. that showed the daggers tattooed under his eyes, and revealed sapphire blue skin and bone white hair.

Broog grabbed him by his collar like one would a cat.

"Mask. Broog make sure he conforted in da frotress."

Zahara was still trying to tell him the boy knew better, trying to protect their son from his anger. It was probably a wise decision on her part. The boy had obviously said enough for this one to know too much. Which meant what else had he said. Digging into his belt, he grabbed a scrap of paper and scribbled a rune handing it to his wife. "Translocation spell. Go get Kelligrin, and wait for Zykariel. The moment he shows up, you all come to Twilight. Do it by horse, do it by translocation, but do not go by foot."

Another flick of fingers and that dart met the same fate as the previous little throwing daggers. "I haven't taken my eyes off of you, don't think I have or else you're make this harder on yourself than it already is." Indeed watching like his eyes could look nowhere else. Assassin knew and assassin after all, and he continued to watch as Broog took his own measures. Ah crap he was Tier'dal like Malik...and wasn't one of Malik's staff. Walking up to him, he scribed a series of runes on the assassin's forehead to ensure those binding would hold without him being directly around. "Very comfortable..." Of course anyone with a brain would know that 'comfort' wasn't what it was supposed to be. Thusly giving his wife a parting look he started off, motioning Broog to follow as they both started to the fortress. Once he go there...Malik's staff was going to get a hell of a visit from him.

She brushed at the sensation of something along her side and took the paper with a nod. Twenty minutes later she was on horseback, heading across the Underdark, her youngest held tightly on her lap. Kelligrin hated any and all forms of translocation and the little elf had been through enough trauma for one day with the confusing bond messages. She'd sent Zykariel to Twilight via translocation and told him she'd be there shortly. It would not be good for her to be there when Zykariel came face to face with his very angry father.

He rode up in a cloud of dust and dismounted easily enough, sending Destyny off to cool down with the rest of the D'vinn's stables. Picking his way across the ample yard, he made it to the front door and let himself inside. "Somebody want to tell me what the big emergency is? Mom wouldn't say anything." Yes, there was attitude. He was genuinely annoyed.

Well damn it all.

but he didn't put up any fight. he'd let his previous cut do it's work. After all there's wasn't a blade on his person that wasn't coated in toxins. that one just happened to be more for use against magical aptitudes. it'd fight magical works, and it would drain magical energy. of course, with how these elves seemed to harness thier magic internally, who knows what kind of damage it could do.

He still had his quick escape if he really needed it. he'd just prefer not to have to use it.

Cerrillia was tapping her foot, standing behind Lianna as she worked.

"found him yet?"

"Yes. he's been captured. I imagine he'll either attempt false death, or use his evacuation bracers. I wouldn't suggest going to retrieve him. that just puts us on the line of fire. they may know there's more then him, but they don't know how many or where we are."

"Zykariel does."

"You fault in that. Your lust and desire of political gain corrupted your judgement."

Cerrillia narrowed her eyes lightly.

"like you don't want to know that method of harnessing power."

"I do. but I would have been fine perfecting my own technique after getting a sample fo the father to the Lodge. and I certainly wouldn't have placed us in this situation with a boy knowing too much."

Broog followed silently, dragging Gizdean behind him like a caveman dragging a kill. as long as he kept a grip, Gizdean wasn't going anywhere so why carry him up off the ground.

Kicking open the doors, he grabbed his son by his shirt, pushing him into the nearest wall. "You will not speak in that attitude, let alone speak until you're addressed." Letting him go before starting to bark orders. "I want all of Malik's staff assembled now! Front and center and anything they're doing can be put on hold! Anyone in the basement, any breaker, any servant, even anyone working on that damn thing outside. Make me come drag you up and you'll pay by my price!" Oh look, there was leader in him. It was just reserved for when it was needed. But blood red eyes turned on his on. "Where have you been."

Reeling as he was grabbed and shoved around, he put up his fists ready to fight until he saw it was his father barking orders. ...what? Zykariel had never before seen his father act that forceful and he lapsed into stunned silence. "I told mom I was with a friend. Didn't she pass the message on?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:39 pm

"Friend does not cut it when you're implicated as being with someone who is perhaps plotting against the D'vinns and thus by extension us. Where were you." A barely restrained tone before yelling at the boy, though Zykariel's lack of care to this all was sawing on his resolve.

People assembled as they were directed. broog standing by Sevilin with Gizdean on his knees by his hair. murmurs spread at the sight of a member of the Ebon Mask, but other then that they were quiet. right now Sevilin was in charge, and he was given to accorded respect.

"Sure," Giedia answered Keely as she followed her inside her stomach gave a huge rumble protesting its hunger just as Keely opened her mouth to say something about Lord D'vinin or something like that and being watched. She just didn't process what the lady said because her thoughts were only on her belly and its hunger.

"A female elf friend." Shaking his head and studying his father. "Nobody's plotting against the D'vinn's. He just wants to test his skills against Malik's even though we all know who will win. He can enter the tournament next year if he really wants to do that. They've been asking questions about how Malik gained his power. It's as simple as that."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 27, 2008 6:00 pm

Gizdean gave a hint of a grin. the boy didn't recognize him without the hood and mask. and obviously didn't know the daggers under the eyes. which is probably in his benefit right now. and the boy was covering for them. how wonderful.

Broog looked down at the one in his grip...Broog knew better. he knew what the Ebon Mask was, and they weren't the kind to enter tournaments. he knew the dagger tattoos. Broog's attention moved to Zykariel, and looked as menacing as he could.

"dis one not for tournament. dis one shadow kills. assinate."

Again grabbing the boy by the front of his shirt and yanking him close. "And you think it's okay to tell such things?" Nodding lightly to Broog's words. "If they want to know simple information then why was he threatening to kill you mother? And I know he's not alone, he had a link stone." Thusly still holding his son in a vice like grip her turned his eyes and voice on the others, free hand pointing out Maliks' regulat tier'dal staff. "You all. Who wants to enlighten me to who he perhaps may be? What he does, who he works for. Anything and everything before I find your words useless and get to cutting tounges out as punishment!" Oh yes, he was quite livid.

"Okay...that's not good." She knew she was immune to Sevilin's orders at the moment, and merely took Giedia by the shoulders and guided her into the kitchen, going about getting her something to eat. "Seems you came at an exciting time."
