"That too." Marcus looked straight up, and smiled at how he still couldn't see the top. He whistled. It seemed bigger than anything he'd ever seen. Or maybe it was more than the size. It was more majestic than anything he'd seen. Yes. "I can't tell if I want to stay here and look or if I should go inside."

"Well it does not look to be the most stable of architecture." Close up, Terryn could now see cracks up the columns and falling pebbles every now and then. "Perhaps it would be best if we go in quickly."

"Very quickly," Marcus agreed. He tugged on Terryn's hand and walked in. He was struck dumb for a moment or two before turning to grin at Terryn. "It might take a little longer than expected."

Terryn nodded very quickly. The structure was just as breathtaking from the inside, if not a little dusty. There were a few people walking in and out, and a few appeared to not be from the area.

The detail of it was what amazed Marcus. The tiny, intricate grooves and designs, most of them the size of one of his fingers. And yet the creators of this fantastic monument had managed to wrap the entire building in these things. "You first," he told Terryn, handing her the bottle and bending down to examine a crumbling engraving.

Terryn took the bottle and gave one glance at the others passing through the building. She uncorked the dark green bottle and took a swig, not caring that some of the other women were looking at her strangely. "Ooh...it is strong." She coughed a bit. "Very."

Marcus looked up and smiled. "I told you, they don't water it down any. According to custom, the drinker dialates it to their own taste." He grinned wider. "And it so happens that I don't add any water at all."

Terryn grinned, passing off the bottle. "I can tell." She coughed again, since the taste tickled her throat a little.

Marcus took a drink, and he rubbed his throat. "It's more flavorful. And it's not difficult to get used to." Clearly. He took another, longer drink and handed it back to Terryn, blinking.

Terryn had to laugh at his expression. "Alright you manly man you." She nodded to a woman who looked about to faint at her vulgarity and took another long swig.

Marcus laughed. "I've met girls that get separate bottles for themselves," he retorted. Well, more like one girl. He leaned against one wall and grinned at the woman. "Evening."

Terryn leaned against him, feeling very much like a tavern wench. She sort of liked it. "I may need one for myself."

"That can be arranged." Impulsively, Marcus leaned forward to kiss Terryn. It was long overdue, he thought. "Why, it's the new Duchess Winters. She looks more like a common bar maid than a proper duchess, if you ask me."

'Oh I quite agree." Terryn nodded seriously, taking another swig of wine. "She is quite the strumpet, if I do say so myself." She had selectively not heard the "Duchess Witners" part, as it seemed to strange a concept to wrap her mind around just yet.

"Undoubtedly." It occurred to Marcus that he'd never seen Terryn completely drunk, and he let Terryn take another few drinks. He wanted to stay sober (for the most part). He wanted to watch this. "The way she carries on with even her coachmen...unforgivable."
