Sammirah humble_gypsy_traveller Hi everyone...I'm new here...hope to chat with all of you soon! Anyone from Canada here? Welcome! I'm from Canada, Vancouver Island, thought not there currently. It`s very nice to meet you! I`d love to visit Vancouver Island! I was sad when I couldn`t volunteer when they had the Olympics there...was it in B.C...I can`t remember. My gìrlfriend and I want to visit PEI even more someday.

Ethereal Cereal On the subject of timezones, what's the furthest timezone you've ever contacted, and which of your friends live in those timezones? Furthest I've talked to is the couple of friends I have in Australia, and I live in Maine, USA. I`d have to say the same Ethereal...as of friends (on Gaia) I have a close friend from Paris, France, I`m from Toronto (to be specific, Mississauga), Ontario.

Davis Shadenhand Geothermal is cool, and saving the planet is awesome and all but I'd go for the Data furnace anytime... Actually Google is planning something like that here in Finland. They are building a server facility in one town and at least at some point they were thinking that they could run the heated water from the server rooms to the near by towns district heating system, thus warming the houses that are connected to the system. Unfortunately I live in a middle of a forest so there's no major server rooms near by and the few computers we have now are not enough to warm up the house during the winter. xp

Ethereal Cereal It'll be rewarding once you've gotten all of that stuff out of the way, that way you can kick back and relax once your kids have gone back to school. It sure is coming up quickly. Very true. It will be nice to have some quiet time again so I'm able to have a complete thought without being interrupted. rofl It gets harder and harder to go back and remember what I was doing before getting distracted. And yes, this summer seems to be flying by at lightning speed! eek

I hope we'll get a proper winter like the last two so the snow will come around november... but if it's like the ones we've had before then we'll get the snow on january at best.
So I've recently found the aquarium forums and the booty grab.. why oh why have I lived under the rock! It's so easy to get gold from those. eek I've decided to embark on a double quest. I'll try to get few of my wish lists gold items while I also play tiles to get the staff with tickets.

Why wasn't I doing this when you got more gold from these! gonk I made about 60-90k in one weekend so if you got more from these at one point, I can really understand why they took down the amount.

Yeah, it's of course quite a lot of gold acquired in a relatively easy and fast way so I can see why admins took it down.
On another note, I hate what TekTek did to the quest bars. Now you have to go to their page to save a new quest bar every time you want to change it. Before you could just edit the amount in the link. *sigh*

I'm always amazed at how much gold you guys make on here. I don't have the patience to play a bunch of booty grab.

@Camwen: Yeah, I have bit the same thing. My regular gold amount relolves around couple K's because I just don't have enough time to make gold in Gaia... but I was tad bored this weekend. sweatdrop I was home alone so I had a lot of time on my hands to play around. xd
Oh and august. I think it sneaked on us because I'm pretty sure it was just may recently. *shifty eyes* Those darn months can be really sneaky if you don't stay alert. ninja

But it's probably just a rumor. ninja September? ... yeah, I've heard those rumors too... and some are saying that there's only 145 days to Christmas *shudder* but I think those are just cruel jokes. xd I'm also a really sporadic Gaia user. Mostly I just hang out in here but there are times when I get excited and play around some time and build up my inventory... then I go back to my slow days and just make up outfits with the stuff I have, which isn't much, but I have fairly good amount of green stuff in my invo so I'm happy. There's always lots of great outfits around, but I've lost my capability to be jealous here in Gaia because I just don't have enough time and motivation to bash together enough gold to make elaborate outfits.
