@Exxos: The guild map! I've almost forgot that! There's few of us from Europe, but I think Kira is the only one active... I think I haven't seen Shani in a while. ninja

@Camwen: Haha, yeah. We could have "bring your Nordic friend to the guild, week" xp But I like the vast variety we have here in the guild so I can cope with the different time zones. blaugh

We've had today lots of thunderstorms and rain. The summer weathers in the recent few years have been mostly going from "hot as hell" to "thunderstorms of hell" and back.... and I think have I mentioned before how I hate hot weather... I'm so moving to iceland or greenland soon. stare

I went to the bank today with my boyfriend to negotiate bit more loan for us. We are changing the heat system of the house from oil to geothermal heat pump system. The idea is that they drill few really deep holes on the ground and then they circulate alcohol to and from the holes and thus generating heat. Wikipedia will tell you more if you want. The starting cost of the system is bit higher but with the oil prices these days it'll pay it self back in about ten years or less and the long-term costs will be a lot less it is now. Plus, we are doing our small part on saving the planet.

Good morning all! It's a wonderful sprinkling rainy day! We definately need it over here...the earth was absolutely scorched with all the heat we've been getting from the past two weeks.

The geothermal heat pump sounds very interesting! Good for you! Are a lot of people changing to that system in your neighborhood?

The "bring your Nordic friend to the guild, week" made me giggle! But it would be awesome!! rofl rofl

@Gypsy - Good morning to you too! (still morning here anyway). Enjoy your nice rainy day.

It's getting more and more popular in here because the oil and electricity prices (plus taxation) are constantly going up. Usually when I talk about it to my friends or colleagues some one knows some one who have just got it or is just getting it.

Getting through my summer classes so I can start fall semester at college, which will be a cakewalk compared to what I've been through so far.

Other than that, just continuing my collection of firearms and investing more time in getting closer to my brother as a result.

And you?

Welcome! I'm from Canada, Vancouver Island, thought not there currently.

I'm 13 hours ahead of Pacific Time, so... usually not on at the same time as you guys. razz
Hahaha...I'm the same way mostly. It use to surprise me when other people would be posting at 2am (Pacific time), then I realized that there are so many other people from different countries that share (or close to) the Pacific time zone.

On the subject of timezones, what's the furthest timezone you've ever contacted, and which of your friends live in those timezones?

Furthest I've talked to is the couple of friends I have in Australia, and I live in Maine, USA.

Since I live near the middle of the GMT time zone line, Australia and the west coast of USA are both the furthest away from my time zone so I suppose those are the furthest zones I've chatted with.

Right now I seem to be spending a large part of my day driving the kids to wherever they need to be. Classes, doctor appts, birthday parties, etc.
Part of it's my fault since I'm trying to get all the various appts. (doctor, dentist, orthodontist and so on..) out of the way before school starts again.

It'll be rewarding once you've gotten all of that stuff out of the way, that way you can kick back and relax once your kids have gone back to school. It sure is coming up quickly.

Geothermal is cool, and saving the planet is awesome and all but I'd go for the Data furnace anytime...

Sidenote: being active is not exactly something I'm doing well right now lol... I've been rebuilding my computer and trying to get things back in order...

Edit: I Just want a bunch of servers in my house xD...

OH and I nearly forgot... 5 games as a donation thing for the EFF and ChildsPlay
