Lavi, too, quirked an eyebrow at Liv's description of the rest of her birthday party, not having stayed until the very end himself. As Sil settled down next to him he made to put an arm around her but stopped short when she pulled back from them. "Jeesh, got a guilty conscience?" he laughed at her suspicion, the raised eyebrow now directed at her, "Nothing like that."

Liv laughed and swatted Sil's arm, "I was only teasing~ No, I was just telling Lavi how I've been meaning to take you to meet my parents. I'm sure they'll love you, and I know they want to meet some of my friends that I tell them so much about."
She took a moment to grab something from the plate of food Lavi had concocted from the leftovers, nibbling it and avoiding their eyes. She was reluctant to say too much about her evening, because she knew that Lavi would assume the same thing he had when they were in New Zealand. Though he would be right, and Liv was in fact growing evermore attached to Mishka, she didn't want to let on that she hadn't exactly been following the rule she had set for herself. She reasoned that it had been nearly eight months since her official split with Tyki, so she was starting to feel less guilty about becoming friendly with another man. Still, Lavi's knack for delivering a penetrating and judgmental stare hadn't yet eluded her memory, and she had no desire to fall under his skeptical gaze again. Though she still hadn't discussed the subject of dating with Luci yet, she decided it would be easier to put it off until the time came when someone actually asked her. She wanted to avoid any unnecessary questions her curious and intuitive daughter might have.
"Well..," she cleared her throat a little and swallowed the piece of cookie in her mouth, "I just had a really good time dancing. And there was a very glamorous revealing of my cake...it's really a shame that you missed out," she glanced at them after she gave what she felt must surely sound like a non-committal answer.

Sil wasn't sure she believed that they were speaking so innocently about her, but after a glowering moment she settled back down into her original intended spot. Whatever god had decided she had to bruise her right shoulder was sworn at internally, but come hell and high water she was going to cuddle with Lavi if it was the last thing she did. Plus, Sil could have sworn the warmth of his body heat emanating through his shirt acted like a warm water bottle, lessening the dull ache. "There is no guilty conscience here. I have been very, very good lately. You know I have," she maintained her angelic, holier-than-thou expression, until she managed to think of a way she might have been a little bad, but would not be mentioning that out loud. Her expression might have hinted at her guilt. "If anything I expect you've been getting into trouble while I've been gone. I know you wait until I'm out of the castle to let out your bad boy side."
At the mention of parents, Sil tilted her head thoughtfully, regarding the young woman. "Me? Really? Why me?" She blinked cluelessly, as if the concept of someone wanting her to meet their parents was utterly foreign. In the same vein of thought, it was an utterly foreign concept. "Also, you're full of s**t. No one uses the term," she paused, batting her eyelashes whistfully like a maiden in love, hand dramatically falling to rise with chest as she heaved a love sick sigh-- an impression of Liv, of course, "wonderful... Over a cake and dance. A cake and dance is fun at best... perhaps fantastic, but never wonderful."
