Kiah had almost fallen back asleep while waiting for Kanda to regain consciousness, but his stirring had quickly caused her to open her eyes again. She waited a few seconds until he called her name, jumping slightly at the sudden motion and lifting her head upright. She soon regretted it and brought their intertwined hands up to cover her eyes, the sunlight that seemed to be targeting her making her grumble for a short time.
"... I didn't think we'd sleep this long," she finally whispered, letting the shield drop as she attempted to get used to the light. Now that her head had a free range of motion she took the time to examine the library blearily, wondering how early it actually was. When she noticed what she had been using to protect her eyes, she blushed, confused at how their hands had gone the whole night without breaking apart. "U-um... So d-did you sleep well...?"

"I didn't either.."
He tried to sit up more and leaned forward to try and block the sun for her, his eyes catching the sight of their locked hands too as she used them to shield her face from the light. His gaze followed them as she dropped them back down, and he blinked at them for a few moments, remaining completely quiet. Some part of him wanted to keep the grasp on her hand, but he began to wonder if it was becoming an uncomfortably long amount of time that they had been holding hands. Still, he couldn't bring himself to let go, mostly because he didn't know how to after such a long period of time. He settled on worrying about it later, and let the pad of his thumb gently rub against the back of hers as he looked up at her again.
"I slept strangely well for being in a sitting position on a couch...Did you sleep well?" he blinked a bit, his voice remaining at a low volume not only because they were in the library, but because in the morning he was always a quiet person.

Kiah quickly averted her eyes from his face once he had seen that their hands were still locked together, leaning back to try and keep the sun away from her eyes. Once Kanda seemed to ignore the situation she relaxed, stretching out her legs to try and shake any lingering sleepiness. Her eyes went from their hands one last time before she looked up at him in return, smiling softly in acknowledgement.
"Now that you mention it... I don't think I've slept that well in a long time...," Kiah tilted her head to the side in thought, keeping her voice at the same level as his. She usually only raised her voice once everyone else was up for the day, not wanting to disturb them with unnecessary noise. "We must have been really tired last night..."

"I'm glad you were able to sleep so well. I have to admit that I would rather have been in bed, recovering from my long mission, instead of attending the party. But once I got there I was glad I attended..."
He continued to look at her for a moment before breaking eye contact, looking around the library again. It seemed no one had come to the library yet today, so he figured it must still be fairly early in the morning. It was either that, or everyone was sleeping in to recover from a hangover or general party exhaustion. He stretched a little and stood up, looking back at her again.
"Breakfast..?" he asked a little uncertainly, his hand tugging hers gently when he stood and their arms became stretched between them.

"You probably deserved a rest after being gone so long... but I'm glad you made it to the party, too. I don't think it would have been as much fun without you," Kiah stated, smoothing out her dress before pulling herself up to stand next to him. At the mention of breakfast she suddenly realized how hungry she was, as she hadn't really eaten much the day before when she was expecting a large meal at the party.
"Breakfast would be great!" she exclaimed softly as she lead the way out of the library. She couldn't help but laugh a little as they stepped out of the room, noticing that they were still dressed to the nines. "I hope nobody minds that we're still in formal wear..."

He shrugged and let her lead the way to the kitchen. It didn't occur to him that anyone would think anything of the fact that they were in their clothes from the previous night, since the truth of what happened was so innocent.
"What are you going to have for breakfast?"

Kiah started lightly swinging their arms while she thought, "Hmm... I'm not quite sure yet. Maybe a bacon omelet or waffles... How about you?"

He looked at her and smiled a little, gently squeezing her hand as their arms swung.
"I'll trust your judgement and have whatever you decide on. I should live a little."

"Haha, that's all fine and good, but keep in mind that I don't always have the best judgement...," she laughed, a little nervous that she would pick something that wouldn't be to his liking.
Opening the door to the kitchen cautiously, she stuck her head in to see a few finders sitting at the tables. After she had decided, she couldn't help but joke a little at his last sentence, "I think I'll have the omelet, but if you really want to live a little, you should tell Jerry to make your dish a surprise!"

"Considering I normally eat nothing but Soba for every meal, Jerry will have a heart attack when I decide to have something different."
He finally tugged his hand gently away from Kiah's with reluctance as they entered the kitchen. Seeing the Finders sitting there, he decided it was time to go along with their charade and act mysterious and dodgy.

"You're right... let's try to lessen the shock as much as possible... I don't want to end up with an angry mob on my back if Jerry's unable to cook for everyone." Kiah frowned slightly when he let go, nearly forgetting that they were supposed to be sneaking around. Soon she was skipping up to Jerry's counter, pausing every few steps to subtly glance back and make sure Kanda was following. "I'll have a bacon omelet with a glass of milk, please!"
