xD just remember I never said it'd be good poetry...

But it is good! Well... I admit I'm no expert at poetry but I know what I like and I liked that a lot.

Well I'm glad you enjoyed it... I don't write as much as I used to, but it's good to know that I still have it xD...

Oh, the Brave trailer looked really interesting! Looks like it'll be in the theaters next year. The quality of animations has taken leaps since the first pixar movies. I've dabbled around 3D animations my self so besides enjoying the movie I always stay amazed how amazing the animation work is because it is not an easy job to do.

Yea I did some 3d modeling for a few private servers a year or so ago... Learned the hard way that it wasn't for me. I prefer mapping of GFX work.. I'll leave the hard work for the pros xD.

Hello :3 Talking about 3d, I have a friend who is going through a living hell trying to animate a horse. At least she has learnt a lot about their anatomy and general features. I think it's important doing extra research about what are you going to work with so you gain a sort of affection for it and keeps you motivated.

That sounds really challenging - Is she doing it for a class?

Yes, it's part of the final exam of her career along with another friend, though I don't know exactly what they're doing.

For those of you living in the US, do you have anything interesting planned for tomorrow? Anyone going to a big fireworks show?

We're getting together with some family and a few out of town friends for food and then just doing our own small fireworks in the evening.

Oh boy I've had a fun day today! My boyfriend is visiting his friend for a few days so I decided to go to the Korkeasaari Zoo today and it was so much fun even though I was there by my self. It was a nice and cool day today so the big cats were all out and playing. Here's few pics! Tiger and Helsinki (the zoo is on an island so this picture is taken towards the city from the island)

For tomorrow I'm planning on visiting some museums in Helsinki. I'm thinking of going to the Finnish Museum of Natural History, Ateneum (an art museum) and if I have time and energy to Finnish National Museum. whee I like museums (unlike my boyfriend) and I need to get my new glasses from the Helsinki tomorrow so since I'm there I might visit a few of them. xp

Helsinki looks like such a beautiful city. It sounds like you're really enjoying having some time off. smile

It's a great mix of old and new and it's great place to visit on summers. The picture is bit gloomy because it started to rain a bit when I was leaving.

I don't mind going to the museums and places on my own because then I can go as I please and I can spend as much time on the museums as I want. blaugh Interesting part should be my new glasses. There's a quite big difference between my eyes now and the optician said that the difference can be bit tough for my brains to handle but we'll see tomorrow how it goes. I'll have my old glasses with me so I can switch back if it starts to feel really odd.

I didn't think the picture was gloomy at all. If anything, the clouds seemed to just lend a pretty blueish cast to it.
Good luck with your new glasses! Why are the new ones so different from your old ones? Did your eyes change quickly or have you needed new glasses for a long time?

Well part is that I've been lazy and haven't got my self to the optician to get new glasses and part is that my work causes "false nearsightedness" meaning my eyes muscles aren't recovering from looking the monitor as it should so when I go out I can't see far very well. Also for some reason the sight in my right eye is deteriorating much faster than in my left eye.

The main issue with the new glasses is mostly that the difference between my two eyes is so big (another one is -7 and another -9) that there's a possibility that my brain can't work with it even though I would have correct glasses.

Edit: The museum day was awesome! Especially the National Museum was worth seeing because it had a vast exhibition of Finnish history from the prehistoric stone ages to the middle ages. It was great to see how the everyday tools of stone age has evolved to an elaborate knight swords over time. 3nodding Oh and the glasses... well I need to get used with these. It feels odd, but I hope my eyes will eventually adjust to the new glasses.

OOOH! I want to see that museum now! 3nodding

The vision in my right eye is worse than my left as well. But the astigmatism in my left eye is worse! lol Luckily my prescription isn't extremely strong.

So what do you guys think of the "don't use adblock and you might get free item" -campaign Gaia is having now? I'm bit in between. I understand that ads is a good revenue for Gaia, but since there are so many annoying and even dangerous ads going around that I'm not quite happy that Gaia is advising people to not use adblock. Especially since Gaia seems to put out new fancy cash items every week.
