"If you would like. I have not had any Greek wine before." Terryn recalled the one time her father had brought some home from his travels. "My father had some once, but said it was strong for me. I was very young then."

Marcus nodded at first, and then began shaking his head emphatically. "No, you wouldn't. You wouldn't mind trying some, then? They don't water it down very much, if at all," he warned.

Terryn grinned at him, looking rather devious. "Marcus, what my father did not know was that I was plenty prepared for anything he could throw at me. Namely because I had been sneaking into his cellars since I was four."

Marcus actually smiled. Yes. He loved her. "You haven't told me that. Well, in that case. We should go."

"Right." Terryn returned his smile, now just starting to think of herself as a married woman. The only thing that was more entertaining was that Marcus was a married man.

Just inhaling it was strong. Marcus grinned at Terryn. "I'll take it." He slipped some money over the counter, seized the bottle, and took Terryn's hand. He was markedly enthusiastic the whole carriage ride to the Parthenon. They were married. Finally. After all this.

"What if we just stay here?" Terryn stared out the window as they passed through the landscape. The smell of fish had started to lose its potency and she didn't mind it nearly as much.

"Forever, you mean?" Marcus considered this. There was nothing wrong with the idea. He could learn Greek, and manage his estates from here. "What about your father?"

Terryn shrugged, the idea not a fully formed one but just the fledgling of a thought. "I am not sure...it is just an option right now. It might be nice to go and have our own life away from our past. Start fresh and all that."

Marcus nodded. He didn't have ties to home. It was one of his great strengths, and greater shortcomings. "I think that would be a good idea. I would not mind."

Terryn nodded in agreement, though she was of course not positive on her decision. "We would have to go home now and then of course."

OOC: Bleh. PM system's not working.
Marcus shrugged. "If you wanted." He was getting more and more excited by this idea. "Perhaps we could even buy the house we are staying in now. I'll send a letter of inquiry as soon as we return."

"Sure." Terryn was already slightly regretting her offhanded comment but tried not to show it. "But for now, we concentrate on today."

Marcus was already thinking of a starting price. "Today it is." He pushed open the carriage door and helped Terryn out. He held up the bottle. "To today."

Terryn beamed as she took his hand and stepped out of the carriage. "To today. And to the Parthenon." She looked up at the ancient structure with a sort of revrence, amazed by how it still stood after so many centuries.
